Cancel, renewals and refunds: what Renderforest's pages say

Everything below is taken from Renderforest's own pages, opened on October 3, 2026, and from the payment company the Terms name. Where two Renderforest pages differ, both are shown. The operator is Renderforest LLC, an Armenian company, and its Terms say Armenian law governs.

How to cancel a subscription. Renderforest's Help Center article "Managing Your Subscriptions: A Guide to Upgrading and Cancelling Your Plan" gives three paths, depending on where you paid:

  • Paid on renderforest.com (Paddle or YooKassa): "Go to My Account > Subscriptions", click "Details" in the Actions column, then click "Cancel subscription", located below your payment details. The same window shows your billing cycle, next billing date and amount, and whether auto-renewal is on.
  • Paid in the iPhone app (App Store): open the App Store, tap your account, choose Subscriptions, tap Renderforest and turn off Automatic Renewal.
  • Paid in the Android app (Google Play): in the Google Play app open Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, select the subscription and tap Cancel subscription.

The Terms add that you may cancel the renewal "either through Your Account settings page or by contacting the Company", and that you "will be able to access the Service until the end of Your current Subscription period". The pricing page FAQ says: "Any subscription plan renews automatically. If you don't want to be billed, cancel your subscription until the expiration date; otherwise, the system will bill your card automatically." Annual plans are billed up front for the year, per the Help Center article "Monthly vs. Annual".

Stored files after cancelling. The Terms add: "Once subscription is canceled we are eligible to downgrade the user to free plan and if the storage limited of the previously subscriber’s media library exceeds that of available for the free plan, we can delete items in the media library in order to meet the data storage requirements of the free plan." The Terms do not say how the statement that access continues to the end of the paid period fits with this downgrade-and-delete wording, and the free-plan storage limit that the sentence refers to was not stated on the pages opened on 2026-10-03. The Help Center cancellation article displays "Modified on Wed, 9 Sep at 12:10 PM", with no year shown.

Refunds. The Terms (last updated October 14, 2022) say: "Except when required by law, paid Subscription fees are non-refundable." and "Certain refund requests for Subscriptions may be considered by the Company on a case-by-case basis and granted at the sole discretion of the Company." They list situations in which Renderforest "has no obligation to provide a refund or credit", including if you changed your mind about a purchased product, bought by mistake, "do not have sufficient expertise to use the product", do not need it, or "have engaged in activities that Renderforest deems suspicious or fraudulent". They also say: "You will not receive a refund for the fees You already paid for Your current Subscription period" after cancelling a renewal. For the Logo Maker the Terms say fees "are non-refundable" and a refund request is considered "at our sole discretion, provided however that you have not downloaded your Renderforest Logo".

Who handles the payment. The Terms state: "Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all of our orders. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries and handles returns." The same Terms paragraph names the reseller as "PADDLE.COM MARKET LIMITED,555 California St, #2850, San Francisco, United States, Ca 94104". Paddle's Buyer Terms define the Paddle contracting entity by where the buyer purchases: Paddle.com Inc. (Astoria, New York) for the United States, Paddle.com (Canada) Ltd for Canada, and Paddle.com Market Limited (registered in England and Wales, London office) for the rest of the world; the two documents name different entities and addresses. The Help Center cancellation article, for its part, headlines "Paddle or YooKassa payments", so web orders may also be processed through a second payment provider, while the Terms sentence above says Paddle for all orders; the pages are shown side by side here. Paddle's Buyer Terms and Refund Policy pages each show the date 31 March 2026 at the end of the page. Paddle publishes two documents that bear on web orders, and they word the same steps differently. Paddle's Buyer Terms (section 6) say: "You can cancel your Subscription through our Buyer portal, which is accessible via the link in your Subscription confirmation email. Alternatively, you can submit a cancellation request here" (paddle.net), with cancellation taking effect "at the end of your current billing period". Paddle's Refund Policy (section 3.1.3) says to "access the Paddle Customer Portal using the 'Manage subscription' link in your Transaction confirmation email and select 'Cancel subscription'" or to "request cancellation via Paddle.net". The Refund Policy states that it forms part of the Buyer Terms and that, if there is any inconsistency, the Buyer Terms apply.

Paddle's refund rules. Paddle's Refund Policy says: "Unless required by applicable law, all Transactions are non-refundable and non-exchangeable." Its section on discretionary refunds says: "Paddle may, at its sole discretion, issue a refund if a request is submitted within 14 days of your Transaction date. Submission of a request within this 14-day period does not guarantee a refund." It adds that requests are reviewed case by case and that Paddle "may approve a refund in full, approve a partial refund, or decline the request." To request a refund, the policy says to use the support link in your receipt or in your account's billing page, or to visit Paddle.net and select "Request refund". The country-specific section of the policy lists statutory withdrawal rights for the EU/EEA, Switzerland, the UK, Turkey, Israel, South Korea, Brazil, China, Canada and Singapore; no section for the United States was among them.

Contacting Renderforest. The Contact us page gives [email protected] for account questions and lists no phone number; the Contact Us block on the Terms and Conditions page lists a phone number, +37411224000, next to the same e-mail address. The same number appears in Trustpilot's company-details block; this page has not called it, so it does not say whether the line is answered. The Terms ask you to contact Customer Support before filing a chargeback, because "the failure of your chargeback may result in your being liable for all fees" and contacting first "will also prevent the Renderforest services from being canceled and your account being blocked". Paddle's Refund Policy says that Paddle encourages contact with it before a chargeback or dispute, that its rules do "not affect your lawful rights to dispute a charge under card-scheme or consumer-protection rules", and that a chargeback may temporarily suspend access to the product while it is reviewed. A card issuer sets its own dispute rules and deadlines. Paddle's contact page (paddle.net/contact) offers "Request refund", "Cancel subscription", "Request receipt" and "Other queries", and Paddle's help page says that if it cannot solve a query the request "will be forwarded to our Buyer Support team", which responds by e-mail. USAGov's page on online-purchase complaints (last updated November 13, 2025) says that if contacting the seller does not work you can file a complaint with your state consumer protection office, your state attorney general, the FTC (reportfraud.ftc.gov), or Econsumer.gov "if your purchase was from a seller outside of the U.S."; the operator named in the Terms is in Armenia.

Credits, watermarks and stored files. For the Video Maker, the Terms say you can "download an unlimited number of low-quality videos with watermarks" and "high-quality videos without watermarks by either paying per project or subscribing to any plan"; the Mockup Maker section has similar wording for mockups, and the Terms do not make that statement for every Renderforest product. In the AI Products terms (part of the privacy policy page), "Unused credits do not roll over" and credits "reset at the start of each new billing cycle". On inactive accounts, the Terms say that after 60 days from your last activity, "if you are not a subscribed user or have not made any purchase", uploaded files and created projects will be permanently deleted "with a prior notice through email"; the Terms do not mention a login window. The Help Center article on the 60-day inactivity policy adds that such users receive an email and can keep their files by logging in once within 10 days of it, and says the policy applies only to users who are not subscribed to a paid plan and have made no purchase. A Renderforest blog post (page metadata: published 2026-02-19, last modified 2026-05-27) says Pro AI and higher plans receive monthly AI credits and, "when those credits run out", can "continue generating AI videos with the Renderforest Lite model"; that is the company's own description of a plan feature, and the Terms excerpts above do not mention it.

Domains. The Website Maker's Domain Refund Policy page says: "If you would like to cancel your domain and get a refund, please contact our Support Team", and that you "will get your money back within the Money Back Grace Period as specified below". It defines that period as "the number of days after domain name registration, during which you may delete a domain name to receive a refund". Its table, opened 2026-10-03, lists 4 days for .COM, .NET, .ORG and .US, 1 day for .ME and 0 days for .CA, .CO and .UK.

Company background: Renderforest LLC (Armenia), products, data practices

Legal entity and country. The Terms define the "Company" as Renderforest LLC, "a company organised and existing under the laws of the Republic of Armenia, with its registered address at: Paruyr Sevak 11/1 building, 0035, Yerevan, Armenia", define "Country" as Armenia, and say "The laws of the Country ... shall govern this Terms and Your use of the Service." The privacy policy (last updated February 18, 2026) names Renderforest LLC as the controller of personal data at the same street address. The Terms' "Contact Us" block gives the address as "Paruyr Sevak Str. 11/1, Qanaqer Zeytun, Yerevan, Armenia, 0014" and lists "Registration Number: 264.110.853440 / 2015-04-13" and "Tax ID: 00142164"; this page quotes those lines without interpreting them, and the Armenian register entry itself was not opened. The Contact us page shows a different address, "Woods Center, Aygegortsakan 5 district, 1-2 building, Jrvezh, Armenia", without saying what it is. No U.S. entity of the operator, Renderforest LLC, was identified in the pages checked on 2026-10-03; the Paddle entity for a United States web purchase, per Paddle's Buyer Terms, is Paddle.com Inc., which is Paddle's company.

U.S. trademark record. The USPTO's trademark search (opened October 3, 2026) shows one record for the word RENDERFOREST: registration 6174684, registered 2020-10-13, class 042, status live/registered, owner "Renderforest", a limited liability company organized in Armenia, at Paruyr Sevak 11/1 building, Yerevan 0014, with "No assignments" listed.

History as the company tells it. The About us page names Narek Safaryan as CEO and founder, dates the idea to 2013, says a 2015 Matching Grants Competition funded the launch of its video platform "with the support of the World Bank, European Investment Fund, and the Government of Armenia", and says the product line grew to logo, website, mockup and graphic makers and, in 2024, AI tools. Its page header shows "30+ mln" users and "50 mln" created projects, while the timeline lower on the same page says "More than 100Mln projects created so far" (2022 entry) and gives 20 million users for 2023 and 25 million users for 2024; the company's LinkedIn page, displayed in Russian in the browser used, says Renderforest helps more than 33 million creators and 500,000 companies in 190+ countries (translated here). These are the company's own figures, they differ from one another, and none was verified independently. The homepage lists AI models from outside providers; the privacy page names Google, BytePlus, Black Forest Labs, OpenAI, Nanonoble and MOTIVAI as providers behind particular models.

Products and plans. Renderforest sells video, logo, website, mockup and graphic makers and AI video, image and audio tools on renderforest.com and in iOS and Android apps (Apple's App Store lists the seller as Renderforest LLC). The pricing page, as rendered for a U.S.-located request on 2026-10-03, listed Lite at $9, Pro at $24 and Business at $49 per month billed annually, shown beside struck-through figures of $15, $39 and $79; a browser in a euro region showed EUR 8, EUR 22 and EUR 44 (and EUR 19.99 for a single HD1080 export). These figures are what the pages showed to those two viewing locations on that day; prices are shown in local currency and can change. The pricing page lists credits per year (Lite 9,600, Pro 28,800, Business 72,000) while the Help Center article "A Guide to Choosing the Best Subscription Plan" lists "400 credits/month", "1,600 credits/month" and "3,000 credits/month"; the pages do not explain the difference. The same Help Center article lists cloud storage of 10 GB (Lite), 50 GB (Pro) and 100 GB per seat (Business). A single HD 1080 export can also be bought without a subscription, per the Help Center.

Data practices. The privacy policy says deleting the account erases personal information except data retained for fraud prevention, disputes and legal compliance for no more than 90 days, and the Help Center article "Account Privacy" says a copy of personal data can be requested at [email protected] (an address the privacy policy page also lists for unsubscribe problems and security questions) and, once identity is verified, will be sent electronically "within 72 hours", and that after an account is removed the previous account cannot be restored and a new registration is needed. The AI Products terms say prompts and uploaded media go to the third-party provider of the selected model, that Renderforest "does not sell personal data to third parties", and that starting a generation request counts as consent to that processing. The Logo Maker terms give Renderforest the right to use "any version of your logo, or its elements" for referential, marketing and promotional purposes.

Same-name businesses. No other business using the name Renderforest was identified in the searches described on this page.

Complaint record and what was checked

USAComplaints. This site holds no approved complaints about Renderforest as of 2026-10-03 (database search for the name and its spelling variants).

Trustpilot, as displayed on 2026-10-03. The profile for renderforest.com is a claimed profile that shows 653 reviews and a 4.0 score: 503 five-star, 51 four-star, 12 three-star, 17 two-star and 70 one-star. Trustpilot displays 45 reviews in the last 12 months at the last check that day (an earlier check showed 44; the figure moves as reviews are posted). Trustpilot's company-details block, a separate display, lists the address "Paruyr Sevak 11/1, 0069, Yerevan, Armenia" and the phone "(+374) 11 224 000", the same digits as the Terms block. The page shows the star split as percentages (77, 8, 2, 2 and 11 percent for five to one stars); the counts above are those in the page's embedded data. Trustpilot displays this notice: "This company hasn't invited customers recently, so reviews may not be representative", and shows that the company "Replied to 100% of negative reviews" and "Typically replies within 1 month". Reviewers' statements are their own and are allegations.

What the one-star reviews say. Using the page's one-star filter, 53 of the 70 one-star reviews could be loaded on 2026-10-03 (the pagination returned duplicates for the remainder). A keyword count of those 53, English words only, found "cancel" in 10, "refund" in 9 and "charge", "billing" or "renew" in 8; one review can match several words. One example, posted on June 29, 2026 with a date of experience of June 10, 2026 and answered by the company the same day, reads: "Once you sign up you may not be able to cancel the subscription. They made it difficult." Other reviews, including five-star reviews posted in the days before this page was checked, praise the support team.

Other reviews with company replies. Three reviews of two or three stars on the page on 2026-10-03, with the dates Trustpilot shows: a 3-star review posted May 23, 2026 (date of experience May 10) says an earlier automated-billing complaint was resolved with a full refund after the company read two public reviews; the company replied on May 26, acknowledging that its team resolved it with a full refund and saying that auto-renewal is a standard feature unless the user cancels it. A 2-star review posted May 19, 2026 (date of experience February 24, updated the same day) says video credits accumulated during the subscription were lost and cloud storage was reduced or deleted when the subscription ended; the company replied on May 19 that its credits "are monthly usage limits allocated for that specific paid period, rather than roll-over credits" and that the account reverts to free-tier limits and storage, and invited the reviewer to contact support. A 2-star review posted February 5, 2026 says exports and rendering were getting slower; the company replied on March 11 asking the reviewer to contact support. These are reviewers' statements and the company's replies, shown side by side, and are not a count of complaint topics.

Other profiles. BBB searches for "Renderforest" (U.S.) and for "Renderforest LLC" near Yerevan, Armenia, run twice on 2026-10-03, returned "No results" both times, so no BBB rating or complaint count is shown here. A ComplaintsBoard site search for "renderforest" returned "No reviews matching". In the Apple App Store (U.S.), Apple's iTunes lookup interface (itunes.apple.com/lookup?id=1488068233&country=us) returned the app "AI Video Maker - Renderforest", seller Renderforest LLC, with an average of 4.78 from 3,023 ratings in Apple's iTunes lookup data on 2026-10-03 (the app's store page displays "4.8" and "3K Ratings"); this is a separate source and is not combined with the Trustpilot figures. In Google Play search results (U.S. storefront, 2026-10-03) the Android app "AI Video Maker - Renderforest" from Renderforest displayed 3.9 from 22.6K reviews and "1M+" downloads; this is also a separate source and is not combined with the others.

Other checks on 2026-10-03. The California Attorney General's data breach list returned "There are currently no published reported breaches" for "renderforest". The Have I Been Pwned public breach list (1,039 entries retrieved that day) had no entry with "render" in its name, title or domain. A CourtListener (RECAP) search for "Renderforest" returned one case, the BlockFi Inc. bankruptcy (Bankr. D.N.J., No. 22-19361), where affidavits of service list "RENDERFOREST" among addressees; those entries do not describe any claim against or by the company. No regulator action, consumer class action or settlement involving Renderforest was identified in these sources or in general web searches; the FTC legal library keyword filter did not filter results, so it was not relied on. These are searches of the sources named, not a statement that none exists.

Is Renderforest Legitimate?

Renderforest's Terms name the operator as Renderforest LLC, organised under the laws of Armenia, with a registered address in Yerevan; the USPTO lists the owner of the RENDERFOREST word mark (registration 6174684, registered 2020-10-13) as "Renderforest", a limited liability company organized in Armenia, at a Yerevan address on the same street; and Apple's App Store lists Renderforest LLC as seller of its app. The site publishes a support e-mail, a Help Center, a pricing page, Terms and a privacy policy updated on February 18, 2026, and names Paddle as the merchant of record for its web orders (per Paddle's Buyer Terms, the Paddle entity for a United States purchase is Paddle.com Inc., a different company from the operator named in Renderforest's Terms).

Trustpilot figures as displayed on 2026-10-03 are in the complaint-record section; per Trustpilot the profile is claimed and the company replies to negative reviews. The searches described in that section found no BBB profile and no ComplaintsBoard page, and identified no regulator action or court case against the company in the sources checked on 2026-10-03. The operator being outside the United States means disputes under the Terms are governed by Armenian law according to the Terms, and the Armenian register entry was not opened for this page.

This page does not rate the company. Subscription topics that appear in some Trustpilot reviews, such as cancellation and non-refundable fees, are addressed by the Terms quoted above; whether they apply in a particular situation is not addressed here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which company operates Renderforest, and in which country?

The Terms and Conditions define the Company as Renderforest LLC, "a company organised and existing under the laws of the Republic of Armenia", with its registered address at Paruyr Sevak 11/1 building, Yerevan, Armenia, and say Armenian law governs the Terms. The privacy policy names Renderforest LLC as the controller of personal data. The USPTO lists the owner of the RENDERFOREST word mark as a limited liability company organized in Armenia.

How do I cancel a Renderforest subscription?

The Help Center says: for payments made on the website, go to My Account > Subscriptions, click Details next to the plan, then click "Cancel subscription". For app purchases, cancel in the Apple App Store (turn off Automatic Renewal) or in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Cancel subscription). The Terms say access continues until the end of the current subscription period. The Terms also say that after cancellation the account may be downgraded to the free plan and, if stored media exceeds the free-plan limit, Renderforest "can delete items in the media library" to meet that limit.

Does a Renderforest subscription renew automatically?

The pricing page FAQ says: "Any subscription plan renews automatically. If you don't want to be billed, cancel your subscription until the expiration date; otherwise, the system will bill your card automatically." The Terms say the subscription "will automatically renew under the exact same conditions unless You cancel it or the Company cancels it" and that annual plans are billed up front, per the Help Center article on monthly versus annual plans.

What is Renderforest's refund policy?

The Terms say: "Except when required by law, paid Subscription fees are non-refundable." and that certain refund requests "may be considered by the Company on a case-by-case basis and granted at the sole discretion of the Company." They list reasons for which Renderforest has "no obligation to provide a refund or credit", such as having changed your mind, bought by mistake or lacking expertise to use the product (the full list is in the Terms). The Terms refer to a "Refund Policy" as part of the Terms; a separate page at renderforest.com/refund-policy returned the site's "Page not found" on 2026-10-03, and the footer links only Privacy and Terms. For domains bought through the Website Maker, a separate Domain Refund Policy page lists a "Money Back Grace Period" per extension (4 days for .COM, .NET, .ORG and .US; 1 day for .ME; 0 days for .CA, .CO and .UK).

Who processes Renderforest payments and handles refund requests?

The Terms say: "Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all of our orders. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries and handles returns." Under Paddle's Buyer Terms the Paddle entity depends on the buyer's location (Paddle.com Inc., New York, for the United States; Paddle.com (Canada) Ltd for Canada; Paddle.com Market Limited, London, for the rest of the world), while Renderforest's Terms name Paddle.com Market Limited at a San Francisco address. The Help Center also mentions YooKassa payments. Payments in the iOS and Android apps are processed by Apple and Google, per the Terms and the Help Center. Paddle's Refund Policy says that, unless required by law, all transactions are non-refundable; that Paddle "may, at its sole discretion, issue a refund if a request is submitted within 14 days" and that submitting within 14 days "does not guarantee a refund" (it may approve in full, approve in part or decline); and that requests go through the support link in the receipt or billing page, or Paddle.net's "Request refund".

How much does Renderforest cost?

As rendered for a U.S.-located request on 2026-10-03, the pricing page showed Lite at $9, Pro at $24 and Business at $49 per month, billed annually, beside struck-through figures of $15, $39 and $79. A browser in a euro region showed EUR 8, EUR 22 and EUR 44. Prices are shown in local currency and may change; check the pricing page and the order summary before paying. The Help Center also describes buying a single HD 1080 export without a subscription.

What happens to credits, watermarks and my files?

For the Video Maker, the Terms say you can download "low-quality videos with watermarks" without limit and "high-quality videos without watermarks" by paying per project or subscribing; they do not make that statement for every product. The AI Products terms say unused credits "do not roll over" and reset each billing cycle. The Terms say that for users who are not subscribed and have made no purchase, files and projects are permanently deleted after 60 days from last activity "with a prior notice through email"; a Help Center article on the policy adds a 10-day window after that email in which logging in keeps the files.

What happens to my prompts and uploads, and how do I delete my account?

The AI Products terms say prompts and uploaded media are sent to the third-party provider of the model you select (named providers include Google, BytePlus, Black Forest Labs, OpenAI, Nanonoble and MOTIVAI), that Renderforest "does not sell personal data to third parties", and that starting an AI generation counts as consent. The privacy policy says deleting your account erases your personal information, except data kept for fraud prevention, disputes and legal compliance for no more than 90 days; a copy of your data can be requested at [email protected].

What do review sites show about Renderforest?

Trustpilot has a claimed profile for renderforest.com and displays a notice that the company has not invited customers recently. BBB searches for Renderforest returned "No results" and a ComplaintsBoard search found no matching reviews on 2026-10-03. The figures as displayed that day, and their limits, are in the complaint-record section.
