Possible Finance contact, payment delays, credit reporting and complaints: what its own pages say (checked October 14, 2026)

This site's archive had no approved posts naming Possible Finance as the company complained about on October 14, 2026, so this page relies on Possible's own pages, regulators' databases and third-party profiles, each dated.

Contact. Possible's Help Center article “Contact Us” says to sign in or select Contact Us in the app to open a secure request with its Customer Success team, and gives [email protected] for quick questions or for people without an account. The same article says to reply to an open request rather than start a new one. The Help Center contact article and the website footer did not list a general support phone number on that date; the Terms of Use give 844-849-7207 (or [email protected]) specifically for errors or questions about electronic transfers related to a Possible Loan.

If you cannot pay on time. Possible says its loans have a 29-day grace period and that a payment can be moved up to 29 days from the original due date with no rescheduling fee and no credit impact. Its “Understanding Late Payments” article says a payment more than 29 days past due is reported as late to the credit bureaus. Its Financial Relief Plan page says a customer with an active loan and a qualifying hardship (for example illness, disaster, a death in the immediate family or sudden loss of income) can request a one-time extension of up to 60 days, enrolled by contacting support; charged-off loans are not eligible.

Credit reporting. Possible's “How Credit Reporting Works” article (updated November 4, 2025) says it reports loans to TransUnion and Experian, that an increase in score is not guaranteed, and that changes can take 72 hours to 60 days to appear. To dispute information on a credit report you generally use the credit bureau's dispute process; the same article says that if you believe negative effects on your score are due to errors in Possible's report you can reach customer support through the form in the app or at [email protected]. You can also submit a complaint to the CFPB (consumerfinance.gov/complaint) or your state regulator.

Cancelling a loan. Possible's “Cancel a Loan” article says loans can typically be canceled up to 24 hours after acceptance, that fees no longer apply if you cancel, and not to pay the loan back if you are trying to cancel because a loan being repaid cannot be canceled; it describes a reversal of the deposit from your bank account and says that if the reversal cannot be collected the loan is treated as active with all fees applying.

Bank transfers. The Terms of Use say “You have the right to refuse bank transfers and debit via ACH” and give [email protected] for alternative transfer options and for questions about transactions initiated by Possible from your bank account.

Loan not yours or suspected identity theft. Possible's Help Center article on identity theft and fraud points to the FTC's identity-theft reporting and recovery plan page (IdentityTheft.gov) and CFPB fraud guidance, and says Possible will verify identity before discussing account information.

Debt that has been charged off. Possible's article says a loan 90 days or more past due is charged off and that a defaulted loan may be sent to collections. Its “Understanding Late Payments” article says a charged-off loan “may be transferred to a third-party collection partner like TrueAccord or Indebted”, which would contact you at the email address on file; the article also says to contact Possible's support if a charged-off loan has not been transferred. If a collector contacts you, ask for written validation of the debt; the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act lets consumers request written validation of a debt and dispute it in writing, and the CFPB explains the steps on its website. A collector is a different business from the original lender.

Its “About The Possible Card” article says the company “decided not to move forward with the program”, that new card spending is restricted after April 20 and that accounts close automatically once balances are paid, with the monthly membership fee waived from that date (the article does not state a year). The website says there is no FICO check and that eligibility is based on banking activity, and that an Instant Delivery fee may apply in select states.

Published sample rates. Read your own loan agreement for your actual terms.

Terms. The website Terms of Use (last updated December 6, 2024) state that disputes with Possible Finance are determined by mandatory binding individual arbitration with a class-action waiver; read the Terms and your loan agreement for the exact scope and any opt-out.

Complaint record: BBB, CFPB database and Trustpilot (as displayed October 14, 2026)

These figures come from different sources, are measured differently and are not combined here. Possible Finance says on its own site that it has more than 100,000 app reviews and that some displayed ratings are from members who were compensated or incentivized; that statement is the company's.

  • BBB (profile for Possible Financial Inc, Seattle, WA): rating A+, BBB Accredited Business; 263 complaints in the last 3 years and 38 filed in the last 12 months; an average of 2.44 out of 5 from 57 customer reviews. BBB page data shows the file opened October 9, 2018 and accreditation from October 10, 2018.
  • CFPB Consumer Complaint Database (company name “Possible Financial Inc”): 2,852 complaints in total, first received July 4, 2019 and latest September 27, 2026; 1,503 received from October 14, 2025 to October 14, 2026. By product label, the largest groups are credit reporting (1,204 under “Credit reporting or other personal consumer reports” and 192 under an older credit-reporting label) and debt collection (1,132), followed by payday, title, personal or advance loan labels (222 and 76). The most frequent issue labels are incorrect information on a report (922), attempts to collect a debt not owed (555) and took or threatened to take negative or legal action (376). The company's responses are recorded as closed with explanation (2,789), closed with non-monetary relief (58), closed with monetary relief (3) and in progress (2); 2,811 are marked timely and 41 not timely. Court cases, regulator actions and arbitration (sources checked October 14, 2026)

A CourtListener RECAP search by case name run on October 14, 2026 returned 5 dockets with “Possible Finance” and 8 with “Possible Financial” in the case name, filed from 2022 to 2026 in federal district and bankruptcy courts in several states. The docket headers show, for several of them, the nature-of-suit labels “Fair Credit Reporting Act” and “Armed Forces: Terms of Consumer Credit”; one of those dockets shows a notice of voluntary dismissal filed January 12, 2026. This page does not characterize the claims or outcomes of dockets whose filings it did not read, and the list may be incomplete.

California consent order. The California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation's December 2019 enforcement summary lists “Possible Financial, Inc.” (Seattle, Washington) with a Consent Order dated December 24, 2019, described as unlawful California Deferred Deposit Transaction Law and California Financing Law activity. The consent order itself (Department of Business Oversight, in the matter of the Commissioner of Business Oversight v. Possible Financial, Inc.) recites that the company applied on November 13, 2019 for a deferred deposit originator license; that it had been granted a California Financing Law lender license on October 18, 2018 which the order attributes to a miscommunication between the company and its licensing consultant that led to an application under the wrong license law; that it self-disclosed the mistake on discovering it in a July 2019 audit and ceased making California loans; and that the Commissioner determined it made deferred deposit transactions without a license, in violation of Financial Code section 23005(a). Under the order Possible agreed to desist and refrain from deferred deposit transactions without a license and to pay a $51,500 penalty, and the Commissioner agreed to issue a CDDTL license within five business days of the effective date. The order is an agreement between the parties that waived hearing rights, not a court judgment.

No CFPB or FTC enforcement action naming Possible Financial Inc was identified in the sources checked on October 14, 2026 (the CFPB complaint database, the company's own licenses and disclosures, BBB and the CourtListener search above); the California order above is the only state regulator action located, and other state regulators' enforcement databases were not searched for this page. The BBB profile lists the Washington State Department of Financial Institutions with its contact details; this page does not state what that listing signifies.

The Terms of Use describe mandatory individual arbitration; see the company background section.
