As displayed on 2026-10-20 (counts change daily; each source is shown separately and not combined with any other):

  • BBB (profile for Polymarket US, New York, NY; not BBB Accredited): rating F, with the reasons shown as 'Failure to respond to 65 complaint(s) filed against business' and '70 complaint(s) filed against business'. The complaints tab shows 70 complaints in the last 3 years and 70 in the last 12 months. The reviews tab shows an average of 1 out of 5 from 7 customer reviews. BBB's raw page data gives file opened 2026-03-18, business started 2025-07-17 and incorporated 2017-11-06. BBB also displays the New York Attorney General matter as a pending government action.
  • Trustpilot, polymarket.us: 2.9 from 2 reviews; unclaimed profile; Trustpilot states that the company has not invited customers to review. With two reviews this is not a representative sample.
  • Trustpilot, polymarket.com (the international site, a different product): 1.3 from 653 reviews; claimed profile since July 2024; Trustpilot says it does not fact-check reviews. This figure concerns the other site and is not part of the Polymarket US figures on this page.

Polymarket US complaints: support, deposits, withdrawals and where to escalate

This page was checked on 2026-10-20. No published complaint reports are currently linked to this profile. The details on this page come from Polymarket US's own pages and the sources named. Polymarket US is the U.S. product described in the company's documentation as separate from the crypto-based international 'Polymarket' (polymarket.com).

  • Support. Polymarket US's help article says you can reach support through the in-app chat in account settings or at [email protected], and asks you to include what you were trying to do, error messages, reference IDs and screenshots. The article does not describe a formal complaint procedure or support hours.
  • Deposits. The deposit-methods page lists debit card, bank transfer (ACH), Apple Pay (iPhone), PayPal, Venmo, USDC (iPhone, where available) and wire transfer; it gives a $5,000 minimum for wire and a $50,000 daily limit for debit card and for ACH, and says 'All deposits must come from accounts in your own name'.
    More detailShow less

It says recent deposits can show in the balance as 'funds in flight' that can be traded but not withdrawn until they clear, and gives clearing times of about 3 to 4 business days for debit card and ACH and about 1 business day for wire.

  • Withdrawals. According to the withdrawal rules page, withdrawals must go back to the same payment method used to deposit, are processed in the order deposits were made, and are reviewed under anti-money-laundering rules, which the troubleshooting page says can delay processing until verification is complete.
    More detailShow less

If the original method is no longer active, the page says to contact support. The withdrawal overview says 'Wire withdrawals aren't available in the app. Contact support if you need one.'

  • Promotional credit. The Refer-A-Friend FAQ says each side receives a $25 bonus credit after the friend signs up with the code, completes onboarding and deposits at least $10, that bonuses 'may be subject to review before payout', and that each user can earn up to 50 referral bonuses.
    More detailShow less

The same FAQ says credits 'can only be used towards trades, and may be withdrawn upon position settlement or liquidation'. A separate help article (promo credits) says promo credits are 'trading credits, not cash' and 'cannot be withdrawn, including after they are used in trading or after the related position settles or is liquidated'. The two company pages differ on this point; check the wording shown in the app before relying on either.

  • Account under review. The help center says an account may be placed under review for mismatched or missing information, similar information on another account, or extra KYC or AML checks, and that approved accounts activate automatically.
  • Outside the company. BBB accepts complaints on its profile for Polymarket US (figures in the complaint-record section). The New York Attorney General's release invites complaints through its online portal or at 1-800-771-7755. The CFTC website footer links to 'Submit Tips & Complaints'.

Keep screenshots of the order, the market rules shown at the time, your balance and any support chat. Terms section 23 provides for individual arbitration (see the company-background section).

Regulators and Polymarket US: CFTC designation and the New York Attorney General's petition

CFTC designation. The CFTC's filing index (read 2026-10-20) lists 'QCX LLC d/b/a Polymarket US' as a Designated Contract Market with a date of 2025-07-09, with the remark that QCX LLC 'is now operating under the assumed name of Polymarket US'. The CFTC's Amended Order of Designation recites that the Commission designated QCX LLC as a contract market on July 9, 2025, that the original order barred futures commission merchants from carrying customer accounts, and that after submissions dated August 14 through November 24, 2025 the Commission vacated that provision and 'FINDS that the Exchange has demonstrated its ability to comply with the core principles and the Commission's regulations applicable to DCMs'. The order relies on the exchange's own representations about its surveillance and reporting arrangements.

New York Attorney General. On September 24, 2026 the New York Attorney General and the Governor announced a lawsuit against QCX LLC d/b/a Polymarket US. The Attorney General's verified petition, brought under Executive Law 63(12) in New York Supreme Court, New York County, alleges that the platform's prediction markets are unlicensed gambling in New York; that Polymarket is not licensed by the New York State Gaming Commission; and that it allows users aged 18 to 20, although New York law sets the minimum age for mobile sports wagering at 21. It pleads causes of action under the New York Constitution (Article I, Section 9), Penal Law 225.05, 225.10 and 225.20, Racing Law 1367, and the federal Wire Act (18 U.S.C. 1084(a)). The relief sought, as stated in the release, is an order stopping the alleged unlicensed operation in New York, forfeiture of illegal gains, restitution to consumers, and fines equal to three times the gains. BBB displays the same matter as a 'Pending Government Action' that has not been resolved and whose allegations have not been proven. These are the State's allegations. The release contains no statement from Polymarket; in a statement reported by CNBC on September 24, 2026, Polymarket's chief legal officer, Neal Kumar, said the company would 'fight for our users' (company statement). The status of the case in court is in the litigation section.

Affiliate matter (2022). On January 3, 2022 the CFTC announced an order against Blockratize, Inc. d/b/a Polymarket (release 8478-22, 'CFTC Orders Event-Based Binary Options Markets Operator to Pay $1.4 Million Penalty'). The release says the order found that beginning around June 2020 the respondent operated an unregistered facility for event-based binary options it called 'event markets', imposed a $1.4 million civil monetary penalty (reduced for cooperation), and required it to cease and desist and to wind down non-compliant markets on Polymarket.com. The order's own consent or admission wording is not quoted here. BBB lists 'Blockratize Inc.' among the alternate names on its file for Polymarket US, and Polymarket US's documentation describes polymarket.com as a separate product.

CourtListener search results read on 2026-10-20 also list a Nevada Gaming Control Board case naming Blockratize.

Who operates Polymarket US

Polymarket US describes itself as 'a CFTC-regulated exchange for trading event contracts' in which users trade against each other on a central limit order book, in U.S. dollars, and says it operates as a designated contract market and derivatives clearing organization (company documentation, read 2026-10-20). The polymarket.us site footer (read 2026-10-20) says 'Polymarket US is operated by QCX LLC d/b/a Polymarket US, a CFTC-regulated Designated Contract Market'. The app Terms (effective September 25, 2025, embedded at polymarket.us/tos) name three related entities: the app provider 'PM US Tech (a/k/a QC Tech Limited Liability Company)', the exchange 'Polymarket US (a/k/a QCX Limited Liability Company)', a CFTC-registered designated contract market, and 'Polymarket Clearing (a/k/a QC Clearing Limited Liability Company)', a CFTC-registered derivatives clearing organization. The CFTC lists the exchange as QCX LLC d/b/a Polymarket US. A court filing in the federal class action (docket entries of 2026) is made jointly for Adventure One QSS, Inc., Blockratize, Inc., QC Clearing, LLC, QC Tech LLC and QCX LLC. The plaintiffs' consolidated class action complaint of June 25, 2026 alleges that Blockratize, Inc. is the sole member of QCX LLC, QC Clearing, LLC and QC Tech LLC (an allegation, not a finding). The New York petition says QCX operates 'along with its parent corporation and affiliates'.

BBB's profile lists Mr. Shayne Coplan, CEO, as principal contact. It lists an address on Lexington Avenue in New York, while the Terms give a Boca Raton, Florida address for legal notices; neither is described here as the headquarters. In its December 3, 2025 announcement as quoted in the New York petition, the company said it was 'launching with sports—followed by markets on everything'. A current fee schedule says fees apply from 1:00 PM ET on Monday, October 19, 2026 and uses a taker fee of 0.0695 x contracts x price x (1 - price), with no fee on orders that are canceled, expire or are rejected. The help center says customer funds are held in a dedicated customer account separate from Polymarket US's operating funds and that the company 'cannot access or use your money' (company statement, not independently verified).

Terms. Section 3 says: 'You must be at least 18 years old (or the higher age required in your jurisdiction) and legally permitted to access the DCM.' Section 23 provides for 'confidential, binding arbitration' administered by the American Arbitration Association before a single arbitrator seated in New York County, on an individual basis with no class arbitration or class action; the Terms contain no opt-out provision. Read the current Terms before depositing funds.
