BBB and Trustpilot, as displayed on 2026-10-20

These are third-party snapshots, never added to anything else. They are not our own ratings, and a search of our database on 2026-10-20 for Novo Nordisk, Ozempic and Wegovy found no approved posts about the company.

  • BBB profile for Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals Inc., Plainsboro, NJ. BBB's search for "Novo Nordisk" on 2026-10-20 returned four separate listings (Farmington Hills MI, Seattle WA, Plainsboro NJ and Clayton NC). The Plainsboro file's address (800 Scudders Mill Rd, Plainsboro, NJ 08536-1606) matches the Novo Nordisk Inc. address on the company's Contact Us page; BBB's name for it is a different corporate name, and BBB lists "Wegovy" as an alternate name. BBB states the business is not BBB Accredited and shows a BBB Rating of F. Under reasons for rating BBB lists "Failure to respond to 35 complaint(s) filed against business" and "12 complaint(s) filed against business that were not resolved". The complaints tab reads "96 complaints in the last 3 years. 40 complaints in the last 12 months." The reviews tab shows 1.15 out of 5 stars, "Average of 13 Customer Reviews". BBB page data (raw) shows file opened 2005-02-17, business started 1923-01-01 and incorporated 1982-01-03; these are BBB data, not company statements. BBB notes that it does not verify third-party information and that the nature of complaints matters more than their number. The first complaint texts on the page describe a pen said to have malfunctioned, a wrong dose shipped and a defective-pen call; these are individual statements and no conclusion is drawn about themes or counts.
  • Trustpilot. On 2026-10-20 Trustpilot returned "page not found" for review/novocare.com and review/novonordisk.com. Its search showed a listing for the Danish domain novonordisk.dk, which is not used because it is not the U.S. operation.

Novo Nordisk, Wegovy and Ozempic: contacts, prices, returns and where to report a problem

Novo Nordisk Inc. is the U.S. company behind the prescription medicines Ozempic, Wegovy and Rybelsus. This page lists the channels the company publishes, the self-pay prices it shows, and the places to report a problem. It is not medical advice; questions about a prescription belong with the prescriber or pharmacist.

  • Customer care and side effects. The company's U.S. Contact Us page lists "Customer care support" and "Adverse Event Reporting" at +1 (800) 727 6500, under "Adverse Event Reporting", with online links to "Report a side effect" and, under "Product Complaints", "Report a product complaint" (page read 2026-10-20).
    More detailShow less

The page also has a "Submit your question" request form for Customer Care. Access-to-product lines on the same page are +1 (888) 809 3942 for obesity and +1 (844) 668 6463 for diabetes.

  • Report to FDA. The Wegovy safety information on NovoCare says: "You are encouraged to report negative side effects of prescription drugs to the FDA. Visit www.fda.gov/medwatch or call 1-800-FDA-1088."
  • Wegovy self-pay prices as displayed on 2026-10-20. The NovoCare Wegovy page shows, through NovoCare Pharmacy, $149 per month for the 1.5 mg pill, and $199 per month for the 0.25 mg pen for the first two months ("LIMITED TIME OFFER FOR NEW PATIENTS"). Its footnotes say pill pricing varies by dose: "$149 for each month of 1.5 mg, $199 per month for 4 mg and $299 per month for 9 mg and 25 mg". For the pen, they say new patients pay $199 for each of two monthly fills of 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg "through December 31, 2026, then $349 per month" for 0.25 mg to 2.4 mg and $399 per month for the 7.2 mg dose. With commercial insurance the page says "pay as little as $25 per month" subject to "a maximum savings of $100/month", with government beneficiaries excluded.
    More detailShow less

The footnotes add: "Novo Nordisk reserves the right to modify or cancel this program at any time." Prices change, so confirm them on NovoCare before ordering.

  • Ozempic self-pay prices as displayed in the NovoCare Pharmacy terms on 2026-10-20. For the injection, the limited-time offer is $199.00 per 28-day fill for the 0.25 mg or 0.5 mg pen, applying to "a maximum of the first two (2) 28-day fills"; the standard offer is $349.00 per month for the 0.25/0.5 mg and 1 mg pens and $499.00 per month for the 2 mg pen. Ozempic tablets are listed at $149.00 (1.5 mg), $199.00 (4 mg) and $299.00 (9 mg) per 30-tablet bottle.
    More detailShow less

The NovoCare Ozempic page at /patient/medicines/ozempic.html returned a 404 error on the same date. Confirm current terms before ordering.

  • Self-pay program conditions. The NovoCare Pharmacy terms page (read 2026-10-20) says patients "must have a valid prescription for Wegovy or Ozempic" and that the patient "will not seek reimbursement or otherwise submit a claim to any insurer" for medication received through the self-pay program.
    More detailShow less

The terms say "insurance is not accepted" and that "These cash/self-pay prescriptions are filled by Centerwell Pharmacy, CoAssist Pharmacy d/b/a Novocare Legacy or BlinkRx Network Pharmacies", so a delivery problem may involve CenterWell or a BlinkRx network pharmacy rather than NovoCare itself. The terms describe Lifefill I, LLC d/b/a Novocare as "A BlinkRx-affiliated pharmacy licensed in the State of Idaho that serves as the initial prescribe-to pharmacy", and say "Novo Nordisk reserves the right to pause or terminate enrollment". The NovoCare Wegovy page footnote reads "CoAssist Pharmacy d/b/a NovoCare Pharmacy". Full terms are linked on NovoCare as WegovyTerms.com and NovoCarePharmacyTerms.com.

  • Returns and refunds. On 2026-10-20 the visible text of the NovoCare Pharmacy terms page contained no refund, return, cancellation or dispute terms (the only appearance of "return" is a navigation link back to NovoCare.com).
    More detailShow less

Ask the pharmacy in writing about returns and keep order and delivery records. Some BBB reviewers describe wrong-dose, late or damaged deliveries; these are individual statements.

  • Avoiding counterfeit or unapproved versions. FDA's page on these drugs says it is aware of counterfeit Ozempic marketed in the U.S. and urges patients to buy only from state-licensed pharmacies on a prescription. See the FDA section.
  • Other complaint routes. BBB accepts complaints through its profile for the company (see the complaint record). You can also contact your state attorney general or the Federal Trade Commission; confirm the current route on the agency's own site.

Keep your prescription details, the order confirmation, lot and pen photographs and the date and time of every call.

FDA notices about counterfeit and compounded semaglutide

FDA's page "Medications Containing Semaglutide Marketed for Type 2 Diabetes or Weight Loss" (title shown in the page address; the page heading reads "FDA's Concerns with Unapproved GLP-1 Drugs Used for Weight Loss") carries the note "Content current as of: 10/01/2026". It is about unapproved, compounded, counterfeit or falsely labelled versions, not about a finding against Novo Nordisk's own approved products.

More on regulatorsShow less
  • Counterfeit Ozempic. FDA says it "is aware of counterfeit Ozempic marketed in the U.S." and that counterfeit drugs "could contain the wrong ingredients, contain too little, too much or no active ingredient at all or other harmful ingredients".
  • Compounded versions. FDA says compounded drugs are "not FDA approved" and that, as of May 31, 2026, it had received "990 reports of adverse events associated with compounded semaglutide" and "more than 730 reports" for compounded tirzepatide. FDA adds that it is not always possible to tell whether a drug caused an event, and that adverse events from compounded products are likely underreported.
  • Red flags FDA lists for telehealth sellers include deep discounts "too good to be true", medicine that looks different from what was pictured, packaging that is damaged or lacks instructions, and no screening or prescription by a licensed doctor. FDA also recommends not using an injectable GLP-1 that "arrives warm or with insufficient refrigeration".

FDA asks patients and clinicians to report problems through MedWatch.

GLP-1 lawsuits naming Novo Nordisk

The cases on this page are allegations in civil lawsuits. The MDL 3094 court page states that the Novo Nordisk defendants and Eli Lilly and Company deny the allegations; the MDL 3163 page does not state the defendants' position.

More on the lawsuitsShow less
  • MDL No. 3094, GI injuries. The Eastern District of Pennsylvania's page says the actions "are generally personal injury actions stemming from use of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists", a class that includes Ozempic, Wegovy and Rybelsus (Novo Nordisk) and Trulicity and Mounjaro (Eli Lilly and Company). It quotes the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation on common questions about whether defendants "knew or should have known that their GLP-1 RA products can cause gastroparesis and other gastrointestinal injuries" and whether they adequately warned. The page states: "The Novo Nordisk defendants and Eli Lilly and Company deny these allegations." It lists scheduling orders, including one for closing arguments on Rule 702 motions on cross-cutting issues.
  • MDL No. 3163, NAION. A second MDL, which its court page says is also pending before Judge Marston like MDL 3094, concerns non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy. The court's page says the actions bring "substantially identical claims for failure to warn, design defect, and breach of warranties" and names Ozempic, Wegovy and Saxenda (Novo Nordisk) and Trulicity (Eli Lilly).
  • Individual cases. Justia lists individual cases still being filed against the Novo Nordisk entities, in some cases with Eli Lilly, for example Lakin v. Novo Nordisk, Inc., No. 2:26-cv-07868 (E.D. Pa., filed October 14, 2026), naming Eli Lilly and Company, Novo Nordisk A/S and Novo Nordisk, Inc. Justia also lists further product-liability filings against Novo Nordisk entities in the same court on October 14 to 16, 2026 (for example Morris v. Novo Nordisk, Inc., No. 2:26-cv-07943), most naming only the two Novo Nordisk entities.
  • Data-incident class actions. Novo Nordisk A/S announced on 11 June 2026 an IT security incident in which, it said, "certain non-public data, including personal data, were copied externally without authorisation". Its half-year report on SEC Form 6-K (4 August 2026) states: "Novo Nordisk is a defendant in multiple putative class action lawsuits in the US related to an IT security incident"; the report says the complaints assert negligence and other claims on behalf of individuals who allege their personal and protected health information were compromised. These are allegations, and no number of affected people is stated.

A Pennsylvania Attorney General insulin-pricing filing naming Novo Nordisk was reported in October 2026, but the Attorney General's page returned an access-denied error on 2026-10-20 and was not read, so it is not described here. The absence of other matters is not a statement that none exist.
