NetCredit problems: pay, get payment help, dispute credit reporting, complain (checked October 11, 2026)

NetCredit is an online personal-loan and line-of-credit brand. Its website says that in some states loans and lines of credit are made by a lending partner bank (Quill Bank or Republic Bank & Trust Company) and that NetCredit services them. Your loan agreement names the lender; check it before you write to anyone.

NetCredit's own channels (contact page, October 11, 2026). Customer Support (877) 392-2014 (Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. CT, Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CT); Collections (877) 392-2016 (Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. CT, Saturday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CT, Sunday closed). Email: [email protected], [email protected] (loan processing), [email protected], and [email protected] (general comments). Fax: Customer Support (855) 878-1068, Loan Processing (855) 878-1069, Collections (855) 878-1070. Mail for disputes and correspondence goes to Customer Support Team, NetCredit, 175 W. Jackson Blvd., Suite 600, Chicago, IL 60604, with your account or loan number and the name on the loan; payments by check or money order go to P.O. Box 206766, Dallas, TX 75320-6766.

Payment timing, as the company states it. AutoPay (automatic ACH payments) must be set up or changed before 5 p.m. CT two business days before the due date; one-time EFT must be scheduled before 6 p.m. CT on the day before the due date; one-time debit or prepaid card payments made before 8 p.m. CT are applied the same day; checks received by 4 p.m. CT are credited the same day.

If you cannot pay. The FAQ says to call Customer Support before the due date if you are worried about paying on time, and says that a person falling behind can reach the collections team at [email protected] or 877-392-2016 about payment relief options; it also encourages borrowers to contact NetCredit directly before enrolling with a debt management company. For a borrower who has already missed a payment, the FAQ says the Collections Team will try to set up a payment arrangement and gives (877) 392-2016 for payment plans, and adds that any payment activity is reported to credit bureaus. Line-of-credit customers can read about the Skip-a-Pay and Fee Saver rewards on the Line of Credit Rewards page.

Fees, per the FAQ. The FAQ says that for installment loans on or after March 12, 2025 a borrower is not charged application, prepayment, non-sufficient funds or late fees by the lender, that NetCredit stopped assessing late-payment fees on March 12, 2025 on older loans whose agreements allowed them, and that there is no penalty for early payoff. For lines of credit it describes a Cash Advance Fee deducted from each advance (the contact page gives 10 percent) and a Statement Balance Fee each billing cycle. State-specific charges are on the Rates & Terms page.

Credit reporting. NetCredit says all payment activity is reported to the major credit bureaus; for My CreditBuilder, the FAQ says payments toward a personal loan or line of credit are reported to TransUnion and Experian. To dispute an error, the FAQ asks you to write to the Chicago mailing address above with supporting documents, or email [email protected] with the subject line "Credit Reporting Error"; it links the FTC's guide to disputing errors on credit reports. You can also dispute directly with each credit bureau.

If NetCredit does not resolve it. You can submit a complaint to the CFPB at consumerfinance.gov/complaint, to the FTC, and to your state attorney general or state financial regulator. The public record of regulator and court matters involving NetCredit's parent follows below.

Regulator actions involving NetCredit and its parent Enova International

CFPB, January 2019. On January 25, 2019 the CFPB issued a consent order against Enova International, Inc. (File No. 2019-BCFP-0003). The order defines the respondent as Enova, "its subsidiary entities doing business under the brand names CashNetUSA and NetCredit." It found Enova violated the Consumer Financial Protection Act by debiting consumers' bank accounts without authorization and by failing to honor loan extensions it had granted, barred electronic fund transfers without valid authorization and required a $3.2 million civil money penalty. Enova consented "without admitting or denying any of the findings of fact or conclusions of law," except facts needed for the CFPB's jurisdiction. The CFPB's page lists the action's status as expired, terminated or dismissed.

CFPB, November 2023. On November 15, 2023 the CFPB issued a second consent order (File No. 2023-CFPB-0014) concerning the payment-processing practices of Enova's "CashNetUSA and NetCredit businesses," finding violations of the 2019 order and of the Act, and superseding the 2019 order. It required redress to consumers whose accounts were debited without express informed consent and a $15 million civil money penalty. Enova again consented without admitting or denying the findings. On September 2, 2025 the CFPB terminated the order and waived any alleged non-compliance; its notice states that Enova had paid the $15 million penalty, retained a third-party consultant on redress and taken steps to provide redress to certain consumers.

Virginia Attorney General. On May 4, 2018 the Virginia Attorney General announced a Predatory Lending Unit suit against "Net Credit," alleging that loans of $1,000 to $10,000 were made to more than 47,000 Virginia borrowers between 2012 and 2018 at rates of 34 percent to 155 percent, that the company operated without a Virginia license, and that it collected from borrowers under bankruptcy protection. Enova's Form 10-Q for June 30, 2026 describes the case as brought on April 23, 2018 in Fairfax County Circuit Court against NC Financial Solutions of Utah, LLC, a subsidiary, and states that in January 2026 the parties entered a consent decree: the subsidiary denied the allegations and agreed to pay $3.4 million ($3.1 million customer restitution, $0.2 million fees and costs, $0.1 million administration), to modify certain outstanding loans at reduced interest rates and to forgive approximately $87.0 million of previously charged-off receivables.

State attorneys general and the Grasshopper application. Enova's Form 10-Q for June 30, 2026 described a pending acquisition of Grasshopper Bancorp, Inc. and Grasshopper Bank. On July 6, 2026 the attorneys general of New York, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon and Vermont, with the Hawaii Office of Consumer Protection, asked the Federal Reserve Board to hold public hearings and to deny the application in the absence of assurances that it was not an effort to evade state lending laws, describing Enova as a nonbank lender offering high-cost loans under the trade names CashNetUSA and NetCredit. That letter is advocacy, not a finding. Enova's Form 8-K dated September 14, 2026 says Enova issued a press release that day announcing the withdrawal of its applications with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System related to the proposed acquisition of Grasshopper Bancorp, Inc.; the press release (Exhibit 99.1) quotes Enova's CEO, Steve Cunningham, as saying that without clearly articulated standards "the process is susceptible to political pressure and outside advocacy." No NetCredit-specific state enforcement action other than the Virginia matter was identified in the sources checked on October 11, 2026.

Who operates NetCredit and how its loans are made

NetCredit is a brand of Enova International, Inc., a publicly traded online lender headquartered in Chicago, according to the CFPB's 2023 enforcement page and order, which describe Enova as extending or arranging unsecured installment loans and lines of credit through CashNetUSA- or NetCredit-branded subsidiaries. NetCredit's Terms of Use (last updated November 3, 2025) say the site is owned and operated by CNU Online Holdings, LLC and its subsidiaries and affiliates operating under the NetCredit brand. Its personal-loan page states that interest rates and fees range from 34.99% to 99.99% depending on creditworthiness and state.

Who is the lender. The Lending Partners page says Quill Bank is the lender for some loans and lines of credit in AR, AK, AZ, CA, FL, HI, IN, KS, KY, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NE, NJ, NV, OH, OK, RI, SC, TN, TX, VA and WY; Republic Bank & Trust Company is the lender for some in AR, AK, AZ, FL, HI, IA, IN, KS, KY, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, NE, NV, OH, OK, RI, TN, TX, VA and WY; and in AL, DE, GA, ID, IL, LA, ND, NM, SD, UT and WI loans are offered by a member of the NetCredit family of companies. It also says NetCredit partners with Transportation Alliance Bank, Inc. d/b/a TAB Bank to service lines of credit previously underwritten, approved and funded by TAB Bank. All accounts are serviced by NetCredit, and the lender is identified in the consumer credit agreement.

The Terms of Use contain an arbitration section covering disputes about the site and services; a loan agreement has its own terms, so read the arbitration and governing-law provisions of your agreement.

Court cases involving NetCredit

Trawick v. NetCredit Loan Services, LLC (N.D. Ill., No. 1:24-cv-07481). Filed August 20, 2024 as a proposed class action by an Indiana borrower who says she took a NetCredit loan online in May 2022 at an interest rate of 64.75 percent that exceeded the limit of the Indiana Uniform Consumer Credit Code. The loan agreement chose Kentucky law and contained an arbitration provision. On August 22, 2025 the court (Judge April M.
