Returns, refunds, shipping and contacting Modlily: its own rules
The text below comes from Modlily's own Terms of Use, Return and Exchange Policy, Shipping and Handling, Contact and About pages, opened on 2026-10-11. The Return Policy and Shipping pages show different terms for the United States and for other countries; both are given below, United States first. Confirm the terms shown at checkout.
Returns and exchanges, United States tab. The Return Policy page has separate 'United States' and 'Non-US' tabs. Under the United States tab it says: 'You have 30 days from the date of delivery to return your purchase if we have still not met your expectations.' Its listed conditions include: 'Each order is eligible for one free exchange for a new size, color, or alternative item priced equal to or lower than the original item being exchanged'; 'Only items in their original, undamaged, unstained and unworn condition and swimsuits with hygiene liners attached can be returned or exchanged'; 'beach blankets, sunglasses, jewelries and hair accessories are not eligible for returns or exchanges'; products labeled 'No returns or exchanges' 'are considered final sale products and cannot be refunded or exchanged'; and 'Customers are responsible for the return shipping fee. However we offer FREE RETURNS as store credit, which is issued promptly and never expires.' It also says 'The original shipping and order protection are non-refundable if return for a refund' and that the return label fee, which 'will be deducted from your refund if you used Modlily return label', is 'at least US$10.99' (CA$12.99 is shown for Canada). US Step 3 reads: 'Drop off your box-free, printer free return at a Happy Returns Return Bar Location for an instant refund.'
Returns, Non-US tab. The Non-US tab lists the same 30-day window and condition set without the free-exchange line, with a return label fee of 'at least £3.99' in one variant. Its page source carries two versions of the last item, shown by country: 'Customers are responsible for the return shipping fee. However we offer FREE RETURNS as store credit, which is issued promptly and never expires.' and 'Customers need to pay the return shipping fee.' The page does not state in text which countries get which version. The FAQ at the bottom of the page, which is not split by tab, says 'Customers need to pay the return shipping fee' and gives the label fee as 'at least US$10.99'.
How to start. Use My Order (registered account) or Order Lookup (guest), then follow the on-screen steps to get the return address or label. The page also says: 'Any address on the parcel is not an authorized return address'. The FAQ on the same page says the return address is in New Jersey, and the Notes mention Happy Returns drop-off locations across the U.S.
When the refund arrives. The Return Policy FAQ says: 'The refund will be issued within 7 business days upon the receipt by our warehouse and verified the conditions of the items.' It adds that the refund 'normally takes one business day' to appear in the Modlily wallet, and that the wallet balance 'could either be applied to your future purchases or withdrawn to your PayPal/bank account'. It then gives 1-3 working days for PayPal and 10-20 business days for a credit or debit card, depending on the financial institution. If you used a Modlily return label, the page says its fee 'will be deducted from your refund'. It also says: 'Modlily is not responsible for lost, missing or damaged packages in return transit.'
Shipping prices, United States. On the Shipping page with 'United States' chosen in the country selector on 2026-10-11: Standard Shipping '$12.99 for orders less than $39', '$8.99 for orders between $39-$79', 'FREE shipping for orders over $79'; Expedited Shipping '$24.99 for orders less than $99', '$19.99 for orders between $99-$149', '$9.99 for orders over $149'. QuickShip and Express Shipping are also listed with their own tiers. The delivery dates shown are date ranges that move from day to day (for example Standard 'Estimated to be delivered on 16 Oct - 26 Oct' on that day), and the page says delivery times depend on customs clearance and other factors. For comparison, the same page showed Latvia Standard Shipping as '$16.99 for orders less than $69' and 'FREE shipping for orders over $69'.
Orders that do not arrive. Shipping and Handling: 'If you don't receive your order, please contact us within 2 months after dispatch of the order'; for orders within that period, 'Full refund include shipping fee except order protection, or resend for products you did not receive' (the page labels this 'Modlily responsibility' where the address was correct); 'overdue requests won't be accepted'. It also says: 'We consider a package successfully delivered once it's marked as such to the address you provided. No compensation will be offered for non-receipt if the package was delivered to the correct address.' On customs: 'Customs taxes vary by country/region and will be charged according to the local customs policies.' On changing an order, the page says a modification may reduce the refund amount if the order no longer meets the earlier shipping or coupon conditions.
How to reach the company. The Contact page lists a Messenger and LiveChat option, 'Submit A Ticket' ('We will reply in 1 business day') and Email ('We will reply in 1 business day'); the Privacy Policy gives [email protected]. The About page says live chat is available '24*7'. Phone: Modlily's own text on its Trustpilot page (company details, 'Written by the company') says: 'No phone support. Don't call the number left by unverified people on third-party website.' Keep your order number, screenshots and tracking details.
Cancellation and pricing terms. The Terms of Use say: 'Modlily.com reserves the right, at sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any order for any reason.' They also say: 'Pricing of products sold by Modlily.com is based upon figures calculated in U.S. Dollars (US$).' The Terms list situations that may lead to cancellation, including quantity limits, price or product-information errors and problems identified by its credit and fraud avoidance department.
If the company does not resolve it. If you paid by card, the FTC page on disputing credit card charges says to write to the issuer so the letter reaches it 'within 60 days after the first bill with the error was sent to you', and that if those steps do not work you can report the problem to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov. PayPal, Klarna and Afterpay purchases have their own dispute routes through those providers. The Terms say they are governed by Hong Kong law; this page does not interpret that clause.
Who operates Modlily
The Terms of Use say: 'Merchants' name, Hongkong Yuzhen E-Commerce Co., Limited 66491738. Business address, C1 12/F WONG KING INDUSTRIAL BUILDING NO 2-4 TAI YAU STREET KOWLOON HongKong'. The page does not say what the number after the name is. The Terms do not show an effective date, and the Privacy Policy does not name a company. The page footer reads '© 2005-2026 modlily.com Copyright, All Rights Reserved.'
The About page says: 'Since 2009, we've aimed to be a top online fast-fashion brand' and 'We have our own designer and factory'. These are company statements; this page did not verify them. It lists payment by PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Diners Club, Afterpay and Clearpay, and says 'Modlily does not collect your credit/debit card number'.
OpenCorporates, which republishes Hong Kong register data, lists Hongkong Yuzhen E-Commerce Co., Limited as company number 2409809, status Live, private company limited by shares, jurisdiction Hong Kong, with the Chinese name 香港鈺真電子商務有限公司 (viewed 2026-10-11; the incorporation date was behind a login there). The number in the Terms (66491738) differs from that company number. This page did not open the official Hong Kong Companies Registry (ICRIS) record, so incorporation date and directors are not stated here. A U.S. trademark search was not completed either.

Is Modlily Legitimate?
Facts available as of %s: modlily.com publishes Terms of Use naming Hongkong Yuzhen E-Commerce Co., Limited with a Kowloon business address, a return policy with a 30-day window, a contact page with live chat, ticket and email, and a Privacy Policy. Points a buyer may want to weigh: the contract and governing law are Hong Kong; the Return Policy says customers pay return shipping for a cash refund, while its United States tab offers free returns as store credit; the Return Policy FAQ gives separate timings for the Modlily wallet, PayPal and cards; the Return Policy and Shipping pages limit liability for packages lost in return transit and for packages marked delivered; the Terms let the company cancel any order at its sole discretion; and this page checked the Hong Kong register only through the OpenCorporates mirror, not ICRIS. Read the checkout terms for your country and keep payment and tracking records.
