Independent profile — not affiliated with Miu Miu
Miu Miu
Miu Miu is a luxury fashion brand of Prada Group; the company says it was born in 1993. Its U.S. Legal Terms say the miumiu.com U.S. store is operated by Prada and that all sales are made by Prada USA Corp. in New York, and they set out when an order can be cancelled and a purchase returned (a 30-day window that Miu Miu's own pages count from delivery in one place and from shipping confirmation in another). As displayed on 2026-10-03, BBB's Miu Miu profile (not accredited) shows a D- rating, which BBB attributes to failure to respond to 11 complaints, and 13 complaints in the last three years; Trustpilot's unclaimed profile for miumiu.com shows 1.6 from 77 reviews and a notice that the company has not invited reviews, so they may not be representative. No recall or enforcement action naming Miu Miu was found in the sources checked.

Ordering from, cancelling or returning to Miu Miu: what its pages say
Miu Miu's U.S. online store is at miumiu.com/us. Its U.S. Legal Terms say the site "is operated by PRADA, and all sales are made by PRADA USA Corp., 610 West 52nd Street, New York, New York 10019"; a separate Miu Miu "Company Info" page says "The products offered on the Website are sold directly by Prada Group". Check which entity your order confirmation names. The points below come from Miu Miu pages opened on 2026-10-03. Where two Miu Miu pages say different things, both are given.
- Reach Client Service first. The Contact page says: "please call +1-888-964-8648 from Monday through Saturday 9 am - 8 pm, Sunday 11 am - 8 pm"; it also lists a WhatsApp channel (Monday to Saturday 9:00 am - 8:00 pm, Sunday 11:00 am - 8:00 pm EST) and an online form. The FAQ adds e-mail ([email protected]) and live chat on the website. Orders placed with a boutique and paid through a "Pay By Link" e-mail are covered by separate terms that give +1-877-99-PRADA (1-877-997-7232) and the same e-mail address.
- Cancelling an order. The U.S. Legal Terms (section 1.1) say: "You can cancel your order until the date of shipping for any reason free of charge and we will not charge your credit card." Section 1.2 says cancellations "cannot be made on or after the date of shipping" and that personalized products cannot be cancelled once ordered. The FAQ words it differently: "Once your order is placed modifications to the order are not possible. Should you wish to cancel your order, please contact Client Service ... once the order is confirmed it may not be possible to stop the item from shipping." If you want to cancel, contact Client Service as early as possible and keep the order acknowledgment e-mail.
- Return window (three Miu Miu pages, three start points). For orders placed on the website, the Terms (1.3) say products "may be returned free of charge, within thirty (30) days from the date of delivery"; the FAQ says "within 30 days from the date of the shipping confirmation"; and the Return Instructions page says "within 30 days from delivery or collection". For boutique orders paid through "Pay By Link", the separate distant-sales terms (1.3) say "within thirty (30) days from the date of the shipping confirmation". The start dates can differ; the earliest one is the safest to count from.
- Conditions for a return. The Terms list: original condition with all tags attached (including "identification tags, security tags and authenticity cards"), original packaging, all parts and accessories, the original proof of purchase, and return from a location within the United States. They add that "Incomplete, damaged, worn or altered items will not be accepted" and that "we will not issue any refunds for returns that do not satisfy all of the conditions outlined above, and will ship your merchandise back to you".
- How to start a return. Log in to your account, open the order history and follow the online instructions, or use "Returns" on the Contact page with your order number and e-mail address. Attach the prepaid carrier waybill from the original package; the Returns page tells you to bring the parcel to a UPS drop-off location or call 1-888-PICK-UPS. The Terms (1.4) say that if you use a carrier other than the one in the return instructions, or do not comply, "you will be responsible for all shipping and handling charges", and that "you shall solely and exclusively bear any and all risks associated with the return shipping and we shall in no event be liable for the loss, destruction, damage, misdirected or delayed shipment of any returned products".
- Refund. The Terms say Miu Miu refunds "the purchase price of the returned product(s), sales tax included, less the original shipping costs" to the original card or digital payment method, after checking the items; they put that check at "between 5 and 10 days" (the FAQ says up to 10 business days). The refund should appear "within approximately one week (for PayPal orders) or within approximately one to two billing cycles" for cards, counted from Miu Miu's confirmation e-mail.
- Items that cannot be returned. Personalized products; perfumes and beauty products whose sealing cellophane or original packaging has been opened or removed (FAQ); and any product marked non-returnable on its page. The Terms add that Miu Miu "will not issue any refunds for returns that do not satisfy all of the conditions", will ship the merchandise back to the original address, and that if it "cannot be delivered to you at your original shipping address, you authorize PRADA, and any of its affiliates or agents, to dispose of such merchandise".
- Exchanges and returns to a U.S. boutique. Online exchange: the Return Instructions page says "the products purchased cannot be exchanged, therefore if you wish to exchange your goods you must perform a return according to the below terms and place a new order"; the FAQ says that to exchange an order online, contact Client Service, which will "organize a return for your order and assist you in placing a Phone Order". In a store: for an item bought on the website, the Terms (1.5) allow an exchange, store credit or refund "at any of our free-standing retail stores in the United States, within thirty (30) days of the date of delivery"; for a Pay By Link purchase, the distant-sales terms use "within thirty (30) days of the shipping confirmation" and say store credit is issued only when exchanging for an item of lesser value. The Services page lists "IN-STORE EXCHANGES" ("You can exchange a product purchased online at a Miu Miu store") without stating a time limit; the 30-day limits above are from the Terms. Store credits "expire one year following the date of issuance"; credit from a return of a website purchase cannot be used on the website.
- Delivery and risk of loss. The Terms (Delivery) say Miu Miu delivers the products "to a common carrier at our warehouse", that "You receive title and you bear all risks of loss and damage to the products from the time we deliver the products to the carrier at our warehouse", and that every website purchase requires an adult signature on delivery. If a parcel is missing or arrives damaged, tell Client Service and your card issuer promptly and keep the tracking record.
- Item arrives wrong, damaged or breaks. The FAQ says: "If you have encountered any issue with the products you received but do not wish to make a return, please contact Client Service. We will be glad to assist you in finding the best possible solution." It adds that Miu Miu "offers repair services on a case by case basis" through its stores or Client Service. No written warranty period was found on the Terms, FAQ or Services pages opened. The Terms also state a limited-remedy clause (your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with a purchase is the cancellation, return and store credit policies) and cap liability, if their other limits are held unenforceable, at the greater of the amount paid or U.S. $200.00; they also say nothing in them overrides mandatory laws.
- If Client Service does not resolve it. Keep order, payment, tracking and correspondence records. Options: ask your card issuer about its dispute process; file with the New York Attorney General (the Terms choose New York law; its complaint page lists "Consumer issues" for purchases); report to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov; or file a BBB complaint (see the complaint record below for what BBB shows).
Government and regulator matters
U.S. agencies. No U.S. government enforcement action, consent order or product recall naming Miu Miu or Prada USA Corp. was identified in the sources checked on 2026-10-03. Those sources were: the CPSC recalls and product safety warnings search for "Miu Miu" (no results; fragrances and cosmetics fall under the FDA, which was not searched), the Maine and Washington attorney general data-breach lists as displayed (no Prada or Miu Miu entry), and the federal court dockets described in the court-record section. Other agencies and state regulators were not searched exhaustively.
Italian labour-conditions investigation (press reports only). Reports say Milan prosecutors are examining labour conditions at suppliers and subcontractors of several luxury brands. A Business and Human Rights Resource Centre page dated 29 Jan 2026, excerpting the Financial Times, says "Prada is not under investigation, but in December Milanese prosecutors asked the group to hand over information about its supply chain", and that Prada told the FT it had carried out more than 850 on-site inspections since 2020 and ended relationships with more than 200 suppliers. Euronews (16 July 2026) describes a "wider investigation by Milan prosecutors that has uncovered alleged labour exploitation in the supply chains of several luxury brands, including Prada, Givenchy and Dolce & Gabbana". WWD (4 December 2025) reported, citing media reports, that 13 firms including Prada had been asked to hand over documents on governance and supply-chain controls. A Reuters report carried by RNZ (4 December 2025) lists the 13 brands that received document-production orders, naming Prada but not Miu Miu, and says "None of these companies is under investigation and prosecutors have not sought to impose court-appointed administration for any of them, according to the orders seen by Reuters". None of these reports names Miu Miu, and no prosecutors' or court document was opened, so the status of any inquiry concerning Prada Group or Miu Miu is not established here.
Who Miu Miu is and which Prada companies stand behind it
Prada Group's website lists Miu Miu among the brands it owns and says "Miu Miu was born in 1993 from the independent and unconventional spirit of Miuccia Prada" (a company statement). Prada S.p.A. is the group's "operating holding company"; its registered office is Via Antonio Fogazzaro 28, 20135 Milan, Italy (VAT number 10115350158) and its shares are listed on the Hong Kong exchange under stock code 1913, according to the Prada Group legal-terms page.
Who is who on Miu Miu's own pages.
- The Company Info page says the site "is operated by Prada S.p.A." and that the "Miu Miu" trademark is "owned and registered by Prada S.A.", a Luxembourg company "fully owned by Prada S.p.A.". The page itself is marked "Last updated on May 26th, 2017", and its terms of use choose Italian law and the courts of Milan.
- The U.S. Legal Terms for the online store (no date shown) say sales are made by PRADA USA Corp. in New York and choose New York law and the courts of the City of New York; the text read does not mention arbitration.
- The Privacy Statement (last updated December 28, 2022) names Prada S.p.A. as "site manager of www.miumiu.com, together with its subsidiary, PRADA USA Corp." and gives [email protected] for requests.
Miu Miu says it sells through its U.S. online store, boutiques (a store locator is on the site) and by phone order; the Services page also lists in-store pick-up, in-store returns and exchanges, gift cards sold in stores, and personalization.
Complaint record: BBB, Trustpilot and press
All counts below are as displayed on 2026-10-03 and are not combined with each other. Posts on this site that mention Miu Miu in their text were reviewed on 2026-10-03: four older posts (2008 to 2012) concern Miu Miu products ordered from other websites; those complaints are about the sellers, not about Miu Miu, and are not linked to this profile.
- BBB profile "Miu Miu", New York, NY (11 E 57th St). Not BBB Accredited; BBB rating D-, with the stated reason "Failure to respond to 11 complaint(s) filed against business" (BBB's own wording for its grade, not a court or regulator finding); 13 total complaints in the last 3 years and 3 closed in the last 12 months; 0 customer reviews. Of the 10 complaints shown on the first page (dated 08/27/2024 to 03/05/2026), BBB labels 8 "Unanswered", 1 "Unresolved" and 1 "Resolved", and their types are Service or Repair, Delivery, Order and Product Issues. BBB says it does not verify information from third parties.
- BBB profile named "Prada" (alternate name Prada USA Corp., 609 West 52nd Street, New York). This is a separate BBB file; BBB lists Prada USA Corp., the seller named in Miu Miu's U.S. Legal Terms, as an alternate name. Not BBB Accredited; D- ("Failure to respond to 29 complaint(s)"); 52 complaints in the last 3 years, 18 closed in the last 12 months; average 1 out of 5 from 6 customer reviews. None of the 10 complaints displayed on its first page mentions Miu Miu, and the file does not say which brands the complaints concern.
- Trustpilot, www.miumiu.com. Unclaimed profile; 77 reviews, of which Trustpilot shows 19 as posted in the last 12 months; TrustScore 1.6 (Trustpilot's label "Bad"). Trustpilot shows the notice that the company "hasn't invited their customers, so reviews may not be representative", so the score describes only the reviewers who chose to post. Individual reviewers write, for example, that a pair of glasses costing over $700 came without a hard case (Aug 23, 2026) or that return instructions took several e-mails (Jun 30, 2026); these are reviewers' statements, not findings.
- Press coverage of product quality. CNN (Dec 29, 2025) reported social-media videos by an influencer who said items from what he said was an $18,000 Miu Miu purchase fell apart as he unpacked them, and by a customer whose $2,000 fleece jacket lost a drawstring after two wears; CNN also reported that "some store locations require customers to pay a fee" for repairs. Prada Group told CNN "These were two isolated incidents and they are not indicative of quality issues for the brand" and that the cases were handled through client service, and said Miu Miu's global post-purchase return rate ranges between 0.2 and 0.3 percent (company statement).
Court record
No court case naming Miu Miu as a party or product was identified in the sources checked on 2026-10-03. A CourtListener RECAP search restricted to case names containing "Prada USA" returned 45 results on 2026-10-03 (an unrestricted text search for the phrase returned 194 cases, most of which only mention it), including cases with an Americans with Disabilities Act cause code and a Court of International Trade case brought by Prada USA Corp. against the United States; only the three dockets described here were opened. Prada USA Corp. is the seller named in Miu Miu's U.S. Legal Terms.
- Lander v. Prada USA Corp. (S.D.N.Y., No. 1:26-cv-03020, filed April 13, 2026). A putative class action by a purchaser of customized Prada America's Cup sneakers from prada.com who alleged the shoes did not match his design and that Prada refused a refund or exchange; the proposed class was limited to customizable merchandise bought on www.prada.com, and the complaint does not mention Miu Miu. The docket's newest entry as of 2026-10-03 is a stipulation of voluntary dismissal with prejudice filed June 16, 2026; no terms are shown. It is listed because the same U.S. entity sells Miu Miu, whose Terms also treat personalized products as non-returnable; it is not a case about Miu Miu products.
- Booker v. Prada USA Corp. (N.D. Ill., No. 1:26-cv-03638, filed April 1, 2026). The complaint is brought by a legally blind plaintiff under the Americans with Disabilities Act about the church-footwear.com website, not Miu Miu. The CourtListener docket opened on 2026-10-03 lists, after the complaint, entries about extensions of time to answer (June 3 and 4, July 6 and August 18, 2026), the newest an order on a motion for extension; it shows no ruling on the claims.
- Brown v. Prada USA Corp. (N.D. Ga., No. 1:25-cv-00893, filed February 19, 2025). The CourtListener docket lists the cause as "Job Discrimination (Race)" and the nature of suit as "Civil Rights: Jobs", with an EEOC charge and right-to-sue notice attached to the complaint. It is an employment matter, not a consumer or Miu Miu product case; the entries shown end on May 20, 2025.
Is Miu Miu Legitimate?
Miu Miu is a brand of Prada Group; Prada Group's website lists it among the brands it owns, and Miu Miu's U.S. Legal Terms name Prada USA Corp. (New York) as the seller on miumiu.com/us. Prada S.p.A., the group's holding company, has its registered office in Milan and is listed in Hong Kong (stock code 1913). Miu Miu is not BBB Accredited and BBB displays a D- rating for its file; BBB gives its reason as failure to respond to 11 complaints, so the letter grade reflects BBB's own complaint-handling assessment (see the complaint record above) and is not a statement about whether the brand or its products are authentic.
Checking whether a website or seller is Miu Miu's. Miu Miu's U.S. site is miumiu.com/us/en, and its Store Locator lists the brand's own boutiques. The Prada Group legal terms say the Miu Miu trademark "may not be used in connection with any product or service that does not originate with PRADA Group". The Miu Miu pages opened on 2026-10-03 do not contain a counterfeit-warning page or a list of authorized retailers; the Contact page does offer a topic for "any information or assistance you may need regarding purchases from our stores and authorized retailers". Prada's own brand FAQ (prada.com, which covers Prada, not Miu Miu) says its products "are available exclusively through our official stores, the www.prada.com website, and an authorized retail network". The pages opened do not say which third-party sellers, if any, Miu Miu has authorized. Ask Client Service (1-888-964-8648, via the Contact page "stores and authorized retailers" topic or by e-mail) to confirm whether a seller is authorized, keep your payment records, and report problems to your card issuer and to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who sells Miu Miu products on miumiu.com in the U.S.?
Miu Miu's U.S. Legal Terms say the site "is operated by PRADA, and all sales are made by PRADA USA Corp., 610 West 52nd Street, New York, New York 10019". Miu Miu's separate Company Info page (last updated May 26th, 2017) says the website is operated by Prada S.p.A. of Milan and that the products are "sold directly by Prada Group". Prada USA Corp. is described in Miu Miu's Privacy Statement as a subsidiary of Prada S.p.A. Check the seller named on your order confirmation.
How do I cancel a Miu Miu order?
The U.S. Legal Terms say you can cancel "until the date of shipping for any reason free of charge" and that cancellations cannot be made on or after the shipping date; personalized products cannot be cancelled once ordered. The FAQ words it more cautiously: modifications are not possible once an order is placed, and cancellation requests go to Client Service, noting "once the order is confirmed it may not be possible to stop the item from shipping". Contact Client Service at 1-888-964-8648 or [email protected] as soon as possible and keep the order acknowledgment e-mail.
What is Miu Miu's return policy for U.S. online orders?
The U.S. Legal Terms allow returns "free of charge, within thirty (30) days from the date of delivery", while the FAQ says "within 30 days from the date of the shipping confirmation" and the Return Instructions page says "within 30 days from delivery or collection"; orders paid through a boutique "Pay By Link" use the shipping-confirmation date in their own terms. Items must be in original condition with all tags (including security tags and authenticity cards), in the original packaging, complete, with proof of purchase, and returned from within the United States. Personalized products are non-returnable, as are opened perfumes and beauty products and items marked non-returnable. Returns can be requested from your account or through "Returns" on the Contact page, using the prepaid waybill in the package. The Return Instructions page says "the products purchased cannot be exchanged": to exchange, return the item and place a new order (the FAQ says Client Service can organize the return and help place a Phone Order). The Terms also say the customer bears the risks of return shipping.
How long does a Miu Miu refund take?
The Terms say Miu Miu verifies the returned items first and that this "may take between 5 and 10 days" (the FAQ says up to 10 business days), then sends a confirmation e-mail. The refund goes to the original card or digital payment method and should be visible "within approximately one week (for PayPal orders) or within approximately one to two billing cycles" for cards. The Terms say the refund is the purchase price with sales tax, "less the original shipping costs".
How do I contact Miu Miu customer service in the U.S.?
Miu Miu's Contact page gives +1-888-964-8648 (Monday to Saturday 9 am-8 pm, Sunday 11 am-8 pm), a WhatsApp channel with the same hours (EST), and an online form; the FAQ adds [email protected] and live chat. The Terms give +1-877-99-PRADA (1-877-997-7232) for orders placed through a boutique and paid by "Pay By Link". Privacy and data requests go to [email protected] per the Privacy Statement.
Which Miu Miu purchases cannot be returned or cancelled?
Per Miu Miu's Terms and FAQ: personalized products cannot be cancelled once ordered and cannot be returned; perfumes and beauty products cannot be returned if the sealing cellophane or original packaging has been opened, damaged, altered or removed; and Miu Miu may designate items as non-returnable on their product pages, with "no refunds on any products designated on the Site as non-returnable". Pre-order items may be cancelled until shipment. Returns of website purchases to a U.S. boutique, and Pay By Link purchases, are covered by separate Terms paragraphs (1.5 and the distant-sales terms).
What can I do if a Miu Miu item arrives damaged or breaks?
The FAQ tells customers with a problem who do not want to return the item to contact Client Service, which it says will help "in finding the best possible solution". It says repairs are offered "on a case by case basis" at stores or through Client Service. No written warranty period was found on the Terms, FAQ or Services pages opened on 2026-10-03, and the Terms disclaim implied warranties and limit remedies (see the section above for the exact wording). CNN reported in December 2025 that some stores charge a repair fee; Prada Group's statement to CNN was that two widely shared cases were "isolated incidents" handled through client service.
How can I tell whether a website is Miu Miu's official store?
Miu Miu's U.S. store is at miumiu.com/us/en, and the Terms identify Prada USA Corp. as seller there. The Miu Miu pages opened on 2026-10-03 do not include a counterfeit-warning page or a list of authorized retailers, but its Contact page offers a topic for "purchases from our stores and authorized retailers"; Prada's brand FAQ on prada.com (which covers Prada, not Miu Miu) says its products are sold through "official stores, the www.prada.com website, and an authorized retail network". The Prada Group legal terms say the Miu Miu trademark may not be used for products that do not originate with Prada Group. To check a seller, ask Client Service (1-888-964-8648) to confirm it is authorized, or use the Store Locator, and report suspected fraud to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
Where can I file a complaint about Miu Miu?
Start with Client Service in writing ([email protected]) so there is a record. Beyond that: your card issuer's dispute process; the New York Attorney General, whose complaint page lists "Consumer issues" for purchases (the Terms select New York law); ReportFraud.ftc.gov for fraud or deceptive practices; and BBB, where the Miu Miu profile showed a D- rating and 13 complaints in the last three years as displayed on 2026-10-03 (BBB does not verify complaints). Miu Miu's U.S. Legal Terms choose the courts of the City of New York.
