Manychat
Manychat, Inc., a Delaware corporation whose Terms list a principal office in West Hollywood, California, publishes Manychat, a platform that automates replies to comments and direct messages on Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and other channels. As displayed on 2026-10-03, its plans run from a free tier (25 Active Contacts) to $199 per month on monthly billing, with a per-contact overage fee, and the company's Terms, Help Center and pricing FAQ word the refund rules differently. USAComplaints holds no complaints about the company; Trustpilot and BBB figures as displayed that day are in the complaint-record section.

Using or billed by Manychat? Plans, cancellation, refunds and where to write
Manychat (manychat.com) is sold by Manychat, Inc. Its Terms of Service describe the product this way: "We provide a platform that enables businesses and individuals to create automated chat flows that they can deploy across a wide range of messaging services, social media and other third-party platforms." Customers are businesses and creators; people who receive automated messages are "Conversation Participants" in the Terms. The steps below use the company's own pages, read on 2026-10-03.
- Prices as displayed on manychat.com/pricing on 2026-10-03. The page opens on the annual view ("Save up to 30%"); with the monthly toggle selected it showed Free at $0 (25 Active Contacts, 2 channels, 1 user, Manychat branding), Essential at $17 per month (250 Active Contacts), Pro at $39 per month (2,500), Business at $99 per month (7,500) and Advanced at $199 per month (25,000). Annual billing was shown as $14, $29, $69 and $139 per month, "billed annually" ($168, $348, $828 and $1,668 per year). The page adds: "Prices do not include tax. The price is determined by the user's billing country." Essential and Pro list a 14-day free trial. Annual billing: the plan-selection article says "the full amount is charged upfront for the year" and that a customer on an annual plan will "need to wait until your annual subscription term ends before switching to monthly billing"; the pricing FAQ likewise says annual plans cannot be downgraded until the current annual term ends.
- Two pricing systems are described on company pages. The Help Center says a new pricing model began on March 2, 2026 and is available by default to accounts created on or after that date, with older accounts being moved "gradually" country by country. The Billing FAQ is still live and says it "describes the subscription plans that were available before March 2, 2026," including "The Pro plan starts at $15/month for up to 500 contacts" and that the Pro plan "can only be billed monthly." Check Settings, then Billing, to see which one your account is on. Two company blog posts add to this (company statements). A post whose page data gives April 20, 2026 says: "The new pricing model is currently only available for new users" and that existing customers would get advance notice by email and in-product notifications before changes are required. A post whose page data gives August 19, 2026 answers customer complaints about the new pricing: it says the $0.10 per additional contact rate applies "only for users on the Essential plan who pay monthly," that overages are automatic by default, that Manychat sends usage notifications at 70, 90 and 100 percent of the plan allowance, that an overage threshold can be set, and that AI is included in the Pro plan rather than sold as a separate add-on, adding: "Some legacy documentation in the Manychat help center may still reference the older subscription model." That post lists Advanced overage as "Custom pricing," while the pricing page showed $0.004 per additional contact on monthly Advanced on 2026-10-03; both are company pages.
- WhatsApp. The Essential plan article says: "the following channels are not available on the Essential plan: WhatsApp, SMS, Email." The WhatsApp message-template article says sending templates requires "an active paid subscription" on "a plan that includes Message Templates" ("available only on certain paid plans") and wallet funds: "Charges for sending Message Templates are deducted from your Wallet, similar to SMS messages." The broadcasting article describes WhatsApp's 24-hour rule: outside the window a template message is needed.
- What is billed. The unit is the "Active Contact." The pricing FAQ says: "A contact counts as "active" when messages are sent or received through Manychat - via automations, AI, Broadcasts, or the Inbox." Going over the plan's included number is charged per additional contact (as displayed: $0.10 on Essential, $0.05 on Pro, $0.025 on Business and $0.004 on Advanced on monthly billing; lower rates on annual; the Advanced plan article words its $0.004 monthly rate as "or less with higher usage" and its annual rate as $0.0028, also "or less with higher usage"). The Help Center's Active Contacts article words the definition differently from the pricing FAQ: an Active Contact is "a contact who has interacted with you through Manychat during your current billing month," imported contacts count only if they send or receive messages through "Manychat Automation," "Manychat AI," "Broadcasts" or "Live Chat," and the same person messaging several times within one billing month counts once. The plan-selection article's answer on cancelling says that after cancelling "Any Active Contact overages incurred before that period ends will still be charged." The FAQ says over-limit "automations don't suddenly shut off" and offers an overage threshold; the mobile-subscription article says that on app subscriptions "automations stop working for any new contacts above" the limit. Both are company statements about different subscription types.
- Trial. Terms section 10 says: "UNLESS YOU CANCEL A TRIAL BEFORE THE END OF THE TRIAL PERIOD, YOU WILL AUTOMATICALLY BECOME A RECURRING SUBSCRIBER ... TO CANCEL, YOU MUST LOG INTO YOUR ACCOUNT AND FOLLOW THE PROMPTS ON THE ACCOUNT PAGE." The pricing FAQ says the Free plan "doesn't require a credit card" and paid plans do.
- Cancel (web subscriptions). Help Center steps: Settings, then Billing, then Cancel Subscription; choose a reason; confirm with Cancel My Subscription. The status becomes "Pending cancellation" and the plan runs to the end of the paid period. The article says cancellation "is not available through the mobile app." Subscriptions bought inside the iOS or Android app are managed and cancelled in the Apple App Store or Google Play instead, and the company says refund requests for those are handled by Apple or Google, not Manychat. The Mobile Subscriptions article gives two descriptions for Android: its introduction says Android subscriptions are managed "directly in the Manychat app or in the Google Play Store," its Android section says cancellations are "handled directly in the Google Play Store," and its switching FAQ says "Android users directly in the Manychat app"; check both places if you subscribed on Android. The same article says WhatsApp, Email and SMS "are not available on mobile in-app subscriptions," including on the web while the account stays on a mobile subscription, and that mobile plans are Free, Essential and Pro only.
- Charged after cancelling? The company's cancellation article says Manychat charges after cancellation "if your next billing cycle has already started (i.e., the invoice was already generated but not paid before you cancelled)," recommends cancelling "a bit earlier" than the billing date, and says: "If you notice any payment attempts after the cancellation and no longer wish to continue using Manychat, please contact our Support Team as soon as possible."
- Refunds: company pages word the rule differently (details in the FAQ below). Keep your invoice dates, the plan name and what you cancelled, and write to support within the window each page names.
- Support. The Help Center says: "Manychat Support provides ticket-based support only. We don't offer phone or call support, and there is no live chat with the Support Team or a dedicated support email address." Requests go through the AI-bot ("Get help") for plans with ticket support (Essential and above); the Free plan has self-service and the AI-bot. If you cannot log in, the Help Center points to a ticket form. Terms section 19 asks you to submit a dispute through app.manychat.com/support and try to negotiate; the section says a matter still unresolved "30 days after notification (via certified mail or personal delivery)" is deemed a "Dispute" for the arbitration clause. The section text read on 2026-10-03 does not say whether a support-form submission by itself counts as that notification, so keep a record of how and when you wrote to Manychat, including any mailed notice to the West Hollywood address in Terms section 26.
- If you only received a message. Messages sent with Manychat are written and sent by the business using it; Terms section 5 says "You, not Manychat, are solely responsible for the content of your messages" and that senders must not message people who replied "STOP." Manychat's Acceptable Use Policy (effective July 1, 2026) names an Abuse Report Form at manychat.com/security/abuse-report for people who encounter a Manychat-powered bot or automation they believe violates the policy; the form page says reports are reviewed against the policy and Terms. Privacy questions about data Manychat holds can go to [email protected]. For data a business keeps about its own contacts, the Privacy Policy says: "We don't have any direct contractual relationships with customers' Subscribers" and that a person seeking access, correction or deletion of data processed in the Service by customers "is advised to initially direct their request to the Customer directly." A separate passage on Customer Content says: "We have no direct relationship with your Subscribers or any person other than you." The Help Center says account holders can use "Download Contact Data" and "Delete Contact Data" on a contact, and that deletion covers Manychat only, not the Facebook Page Inbox or the subscriber's Messenger. For requests to Manychat as controller, the California section says it will acknowledge a request within ten business days and respond within 45 calendar days (up to 90 days with written notice), after identity verification.
- If a problem is not resolved: the Terms require individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association for most claims, with a small-claims carve-out (rule names and details in Company background); your card issuer or bank is another route for a disputed charge.
Company background: Manychat, Inc., Meta dependence, Terms and privacy
Legal entity. The Terms of Service (effective April 1, 2026) are an agreement with "Manychat, Inc.," and section 10 calls it "a Delaware corporation with its principal office located at 8605 Santa Monica Blvd, #64372, West Hollywood, CA, USA, 90069"; the same address is the mailing address in section 26. For payments in Brazilian reais between users who declare residency in Brazil, the Terms say the processor is Manychat Brasil Ltda. (Guarulhos, Sao Paulo); the Terms name it only in that role and do not describe its corporate relationship to Manychat, Inc. SEC EDGAR searches on 2026-10-03 (company-name search and full-text search for "manychat") did not identify an SEC filer by this name. The company's Service Providers, Sub-Processors and Affiliates page (read 2026-10-03) lists under "List of Manychat Affiliates," each described as "Services & Support": Manychat, Inc. (USA), OctoHub LLC (Armenia), Manychat, S.L.U. (Spain), Manychat NL B.V. (Netherlands), Manychat Brazil LTDA (Brazil) and Manychat UK Limited (United Kingdom). The page spells the Brazilian entity differently from the Terms ("Manychat Brazil LTDA" against "Manychat Brasil Ltda.") and does not describe ownership between these entities, so this page does not state how they are related beyond the company's own "affiliates" heading.
History and people (company statements). The About page says: "We launched on Telegram in 2015," names Mike Yan as Co-founder and CEO and Antony Gorin as Co-founder and Chief Architect, says the company has "hubs in Armenia, Brazil, the Netherlands, Spain, and the US," and claims "1.5M+" creators and businesses. The company's blog post of April 22, 2025 says: "We've just closed a $140 million funding round led by Summit Partners, bringing our total funding to $163.3 million," and that it serves "over a million businesses in 170 countries." The Summit Partners announcement of the round says the $163.3 million total is "since its founding in 2015, including its first institutional investment of $18 million in 2019 by Bessemer Venture Partners," calls Manychat "already a profitable company," and says Sophia Popova, a Summit Partner, joined the Manychat Board of Directors; it does not state ownership percentages or a parent company. These are statements by the company and its investor and were not independently checked.
Meta and other platforms. Manychat works through accounts you link to Instagram, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, TikTok and Telegram. The pricing FAQ calls it an "official Meta-approved partner" and the Privacy and Security page says "As an official Meta Business Partner, Manychat complies with Meta's security policies and guidelines." The Help Center article "Is Manychat officially approved by Meta?" adds: "Manychat is Meta-approved, but Meta plays by its own rules," "We can't reverse bans or account restrictions - Meta holds that power, not us," and lists as common triggers too many automated messages too quickly, aggressive public comment automation and multiple accounts with overlapping behavior. Terms section 7 prohibits use "in any way which violates the policies of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, or any other platform." Manychat's own Acceptable Use Policy (effective July 1, 2026) lists "restrict specific messaging channels," "temporarily suspend your account" and "permanently ban your account and any associated accounts" among the enforcement actions it may take, says flagged accounts are reviewed by its anti-fraud team and that "No action is taken without sufficient evidence of a violation," and Terms section 12 says that if a linked account becomes unavailable or Manychat's access is terminated by the provider, content from it "may no longer be available." The Terms thus tie the service to the access those platforms grant.
Terms that affect disputes. Section 19 requires, "except where local consumer laws prohibit such requirements," binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association "in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules and the Supplementary Procedures for Consumer Related Disputes," waives jury trial and class actions, and allows small-claims court for eligible individual claims; before that, the section tells customers to submit a dispute through app.manychat.com/support and treats a matter unresolved "30 days after notification (via certified mail or personal delivery)" as a "Dispute"; for Brazilian consumers the section says arbitration clauses are not mandatory; section 20 chooses California law for consumers outside Brazil. The preface to the Terms mentions "IF APPLICABLE, YOUR RIGHT TO OPT OUT OF ARBITRATION," but a search of the section 19 text for "opt out" found no opt-out procedure. Section 17 caps aggregate liability at the lower of the fees paid in the prior six months or $100 "to the extent permitted by applicable law." Section 23 lets Manychat change the Agreement "with or without prior notice." Section 11 says that after cancellation or termination "Your data cannot be recovered," that accounts inactive for 18 months may be closed with data deleted, and that a prepaid wallet balance must be used within one year.
Privacy and security (company statements). The Privacy Policy (effective August 14, 2026) says: "We do not sell your data to third parties for commercial or advertising purposes," and also describes sharing hashed identifiers with advertising partners for ad measurement; requests go to [email protected]. The Privacy and Security page lists ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2 Type II, ISO/IEC 42001, PCI DSS SAQ A and EU-US Data Privacy Framework certification and says "Manychat stores all production data in AWS data centers in Frankfurt, EU"; the certificates were not opened, and a search of the Department of Commerce Data Privacy Framework list for Manychat on 2026-10-03 could not be completed, so the listing is not confirmed here. The Privacy Policy also says Manychat refers unresolved complaints about personal data received under those frameworks to the ICDR-AAA DPF IRM Service (go.adr.org/dpf_irm.html) and that "AAA services are provided at no cost to you"; the ICDR-AAA page is the provider's general description of that service, and the route is for data-privacy complaints, not billing or refund disputes.
Not the same as agencies and course sellers. The Terms define "Agencies" as service providers hired by businesses to run Manychat accounts, and Manychat's site links to an agency directory and an affiliate program. This page covers Manychat, Inc. and its platform, not agencies, consultants or course sellers who use the product.
Other addresses on public pages. The Terms give the West Hollywood address as the principal office and as the mailing address for notices. Other pages show different addresses: the BBB profile used below lists 535 Mission St, San Francisco, CA 94105-2997 and the number (347) 999-6976, and BBB does not say whose file it is; the dateline of the Summit Partners announcement reads "Palo Alto, CA"; Trustpilot's contact info lists "Everett Avenue 535, 94301, Palo Alto, United States"; and the About page says the company has "hubs in Armenia, Brazil, the Netherlands, Spain, and the US" without street addresses. This page does not say which of these, if any, is an operating office, and none of the non-Terms addresses is used as a contact here.
Where data is hosted (two company pages). The Privacy and Security page says "Manychat stores all production data in AWS data centers in Frankfurt, EU." The Service Providers page lists Amazon Web Services, Inc. as a sub-processor for "Cloud service provider for hosting and storage" with the location "USA." The Service Providers page does not say which data is processed where, and neither page refers to the other; both are shown here as the company words them.
Service status (company page). On 2026-10-03 status.manychat.com showed "All systems operational." Its notice history lists, among others: an Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp incident resolved July 19, 2026 (1 hour 31 minutes); "Messaging on Meta platforms is partially down (FB/IG/WA)" from July 22 to July 23, 2026 (9 hours 57 minutes), which the company called "a Meta-side outage and is not specific to Manychat"; "Technical difficulties with manychat.com" on August 31, 2026 (1 hour 25 minutes); and "Increased WhatsApp Message Delivery Errors" on September 3, 2026 (1 hour 21 minutes), which the company attributed to "a message-processing issue on Meta's side." A notice from March 2026 about delays in the Instagram "Follow to DM" automation was shown as identified as "a Meta-side bug" and still listed. These are the company's own descriptions of cause.
Complaint record and what was checked
USAComplaints. This site holds 0 approved complaints about Manychat as of 2026-10-03: a read-only database query that day found no post, approved or not, containing the word "manychat" in its title, text or form fields. A looser text search for "many chat" matched 12 approved posts dated 2004 to 2013, before the 2015 launch the company states, where the words appear in other contexts; none is linked to this profile. Because there are no linked complaints, this page has no complaint-themes block.
Other sources, as displayed on 2026-10-03:
- Trustpilot (trustpilot.com/review/manychat.com, name shown "ManyChat"): claimed profile; 2.1 out of 5 from 304 reviews, 94 of them in the last 12 months; the star split shown was 39 percent 5-star, 4 percent 4-star, 5 percent 3-star, 7 percent 2-star and 45 percent 1-star. Trustpilot shows "This company hasn't invited customers recently, so reviews may not be representative" and "Hasn't replied to negative reviews." Trustpilot's AI-generated summary of recent reviews, labelled as such, mentions billing continuing after attempts to cancel and difficulty reaching support; these are reviewers' statements, not findings.
- BBB ("BBB profile for Manychat, San Francisco, CA"; BBB does not say it is Manychat, Inc.'s file): "NOT BBB Accredited"; rating F with the stated reason "Failure to respond to 4 complaint(s) filed against business"; "4 total complaints in the last 3 years" and "2 complaints closed in the last 12 months"; the four complaints are dated September 7, 2026 (product issues), August 31, 2026 (billing issues), February 13, 2025 and January 11, 2024 (service or repair issues). Reviews tab: 1 out of 5 from an average of 3 customer reviews. BBB's raw page data gives the file-opened date as January 13, 2023. The complaints tab shows "Status: Unanswered" for the two most recent. The September 7, 2026 complaint text (a consumer's statement, not checked by BBB or by this site) says the writer believed they were signing up for a free trial, could not log in to cancel, emailed Manychat support on August 20, 2026 and was billed $15.00 for "Manychat PRO - 500 Contacts" on September 7, 2026. The August 31, 2026 text says the writer paid about $78 for two accounts, that the account was suspended and that support had given no meaningful response. Manychat's side of these two matters is not displayed, and four complaints are too few to generalize from.
- ComplaintsBoard: a site search for "manychat" returned "No reviews matching manychat." No ComplaintsBoard company page was found.
- CFPB: not searched; Manychat is not a financial company.
These platforms accept unverified submissions and show only part of the picture; the company's own position on cancellation timing and refunds is in the first section of this page.
Court records and regulators checked
Court records searched. A CourtListener docket search for the term "manychat" on 2026-10-03 listed one case with ManyChat, Inc. in its caption; the other results had unrelated captions and were not opened. A CourtListener opinion search for "ManyChat, Inc." returned no results. CourtListener does not cover every court, and state courts and arbitration records (AAA) were not searched.
Case filed by the company. In ManyChat, Inc. v. Silfer Bots, Inc. (D. Del., 1:20-cv-01391), filed October 16, 2020, ManyChat, Inc. sued for copyright infringement. The docket shows a clerk's entry of default on November 17, 2020 and, on December 15, 2020, an order granting ManyChat's motion for default judgment, with the case closed. This is a commercial case the company brought against another business, not a consumer case. The plaintiff's name matches the entity named in the Terms (Manychat, Inc.); the docket entries read do not state its business or address, the complaint itself is offered on CourtListener only through PACER, and the Justia docket lists a Rule 7.1 disclosure statement filed October 16, 2020 whose entry text reads "No Parents or Affiliates Listed" (docket text only).
Regulators. The California Attorney General's data-breach list returned "There are currently no published reported breaches" for a search of "manychat" on 2026-10-03. A general web search for FTC, state attorney general or other regulator actions naming Manychat surfaced none, but agency enforcement databases were not searched one by one, so the absence of an action here is not a finding.
Is Manychat Legitimate?
Manychat, Inc. is identified in its own Terms as a Delaware corporation with a stated principal office in West Hollywood, California; the company's blog and About page describe a product launched in 2015, a $140 million funding round announced on April 22, 2025 and offices or hubs in several countries (company statements), and the site shows a pricing page, Help Center, status page and published legal terms. The company says it is a Meta Business Partner. Review-site figures as displayed on 2026-10-03 are in the complaint-record section.
Points a reader may want to weigh: the Terms (section 10), the Help Center refund policy, the pricing FAQ and the plan-selection article each word the refund rule differently; two pricing systems are described on live pages; support is ticket-only with no phone line; cancelling on the web is required for web subscriptions; billing depends on "Active Contacts," which include inbox conversations as well as automations; the service depends on Meta and other platforms' policies and Manychat says it cannot reverse platform restrictions; and the Terms require arbitration. This page gives Manychat no rating and no verdict.

| ManyChat, Inc. v. Silfer Bots, Inc. (copyright infringement suit filed by ManyChat, Inc.) The clerk entered default on November 17, 2020, and on December 15, 2020 Judge Colm F. Connolly signed an order granting ManyChat's motion for default judgment against Silfer Bots, Inc.; the docket marks the case closed. The relief and any amount were not read because the order text was not opened, and the docket entries read do not describe the work at issue or the plaintiff's business or address; the plaintiff's name matches the entity named in the Terms (Manychat, Inc.). Frequently Asked Questions
Which company operates Manychat?
The Terms of Service (effective April 1, 2026) are an agreement with Manychat, Inc., which section 10 calls "a Delaware corporation with its principal office located at 8605 Santa Monica Blvd, #64372, West Hollywood, CA, USA, 90069." For payments in Brazilian reais between users who declare residency in Brazil, the Terms name Manychat Brasil Ltda. as the processor. The About page says the company "launched on Telegram in 2015" and has hubs in Armenia, Brazil, the Netherlands, Spain and the US (company statements).
How much does Manychat cost?
As displayed on manychat.com/pricing on 2026-10-03, with the monthly toggle: Free $0 (25 Active Contacts), Essential $17 per month (250), Pro $39 per month (2,500), Business $99 per month (7,500) and Advanced $199 per month (25,000). Annual billing was shown as $14, $29, $69 and $139 per month, billed annually. Extra Active Contacts were listed at $0.10, $0.05, $0.025 and $0.004 each on monthly Essential, Pro, Business and Advanced (the Advanced plan article adds "or less with higher usage" to its $0.004 and $0.0028 annual rates). The page says prices exclude tax and are "determined by the user's billing country." The Billing FAQ, which says it describes plans before March 2, 2026, lists a Pro plan from $15 per month for up to 500 contacts; accounts created before that date may still be on that model. A company blog post whose page data gives August 19, 2026 says the Essential monthly rate of $0.10 per additional contact is the highest overage rate and that AI is included in Pro; see the first section for the company's own statements and for where its pages differ.
What counts as an Active Contact on Manychat?
The pricing FAQ says: "A contact counts as "active" when messages are sent or received through Manychat - via automations, AI, Broadcasts, or the Inbox," and that one person counts once per month however many messages are exchanged. The Help Center's Active Contacts article uses different words: a contact who "has interacted with you through Manychat during your current billing month," with imported contacts counting if they send or receive messages through "Manychat Automation," "Manychat AI," "Broadcasts" or "Live Chat." It adds that a person who contacts you on several platforms may be counted separately depending on how the accounts are connected, unless the same phone number or email address is used across platforms. It also says: "On annual plans, Active Contacts are still calculated monthly, and any overages are billed monthly, too." The plan-selection article says you can set a contact limit under Settings, Billing, Subscription to control overages, and that overages incurred before a cancellation takes effect are still charged.
How do I cancel a Manychat subscription?
For a subscription bought on the website, the Help Center says to open Settings, then Billing, click Cancel Subscription, choose a reason and confirm with Cancel My Subscription; the status becomes "Pending cancellation" and access continues to the end of the paid period. It says the option "is not available through the mobile app." Subscriptions bought in the iOS or Android app are cancelled in the Apple or Google subscription settings. If you cannot log in, the article says to submit a ticket through its form. Terms section 11 also says you may cancel and delete your account at any time.
Does Manychat give refunds?
Company pages word the rule differently, so all are listed. Terms section 10: "We'll give you a refund for all or a portion of a prepaid month or year ... if we stop providing our Services to you for a reason that's not laid out in these Terms as determined by Manychat in its sole discretion. We may offer a refund to customers, if such customer applies for a refund based on the requirements posted on the Site. You won't be entitled to a refund from us under any other circumstances." Help Center refund policy: eligible cases are technical problems on Manychat's side and cancelling "within the first 30 days of purchase," and "We reserve the right to deny a refund for any reason, in our sole discretion"; requests go through the Submit a request form (Billing & Subscriptions, Pro Subscription & Pricing, Refund Request), and approved refunds are returned to the card "within 10 working days." Pricing FAQ: "If it's been under 30 days since you bought your Manychat plan, you can cancel your plan and get a refund." Plan-selection article: the 30 days run from the first purchase and "Upgrading to a higher plan later doesn't reset or extend that refund period." App subscriptions: refunds are handled by Apple or Google.
Why might Manychat charge me after I cancel?
The Help Center's cancellation article says Manychat will charge after cancellation "if your next billing cycle has already started (i.e., the invoice was already generated but not paid before you cancelled)," because cancelling "will only prevent renewal for the following month, not the current one." Billing recurs on the day the subscription first started, and the article recommends cancelling a bit before that date to allow for time zones and payment delays. It tells customers who see payment attempts after cancelling and no longer want the service to contact the Support Team "as soon as possible." Trustpilot's AI-generated summary of recent reviews also mentions charges continuing after cancellation attempts; that summary reflects reviewers' accounts, not findings.
How do I contact Manychat support, and what if I cannot log in?
The Help Center says: "Manychat Support provides ticket-based support only. We don't offer phone or call support, and there is no live chat with the Support Team or a dedicated support email address." Requests are created through the AI-bot (the "Get help" button in the Help Center or the workspace), and ticket support is included on Essential and above; the Free plan has the Help Center, Community and AI-bot. For people who cannot log in, the article says to submit a ticket using its form. The Terms name app.manychat.com/support for disputes and questions and a mailing address in West Hollywood for notices. The number (347) 999-6976 appears on a BBB profile and is not given by the company as a support line.
Does Manychat protect my Instagram account from restrictions?
Manychat's Help Center says it is a Meta Business Partner but also: "Manychat is Meta-approved, but Meta plays by its own rules," "We can't reverse bans or account restrictions - Meta holds that power, not us," and "We can't override their spam detection system, even if you use Manychat properly." It lists too many automated messages too quickly, aggressive public comment automation and multiple accounts with overlapping behavior as common triggers, says it can escalate cases it thinks are mistakes ("the final call is always theirs"), and, in its Instagram rules post, describes a 24-hour automated messaging window after a qualifying user interaction. Terms section 7 prohibits use that violates the policies of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram or other platforms.
How does Manychat handle account deletion and personal data?
The Help Center says only the account owner can delete an account, from the desktop version; a Pro account must first cancel, wait for the subscription to expire, remove team members and channels, and request any wallet refund, and "Deleted accounts cannot be restored." Accounts with no activity for 18 months may be closed after emails sent 30 and 3 days before, with data deleted within 90 days after closure ([email protected] for questions). The Privacy Policy (effective August 14, 2026) says "We do not sell your data to third parties for commercial or advertising purposes" and directs privacy requests to [email protected]; the Privacy and Security page says production data is stored in AWS data centers in Frankfurt, EU (company statements).
