The complaints tab shows 256 complaints in the last 3 years and 222 in the last 12 months. The reviews tab shows an average of 1.1 out of 5 from 30 customer reviews. Kalshi complaints: how to contact support, withdraw funds and escalate

This page was checked on 2026-10-20. No published complaint reports are currently linked to this profile. The details on this page come from Kalshi's own pages and the sources named.

  • Support. Kalshi's Help Center says the best and fastest route is the support messenger while logged in (in the app: menu, Get help, Chat with support). If chat is unavailable it gives an email fallback, asks that you write from the email on your account, and states that 'Kalshi does not offer phone call or text support at this time.' The article also says the company's support uses AI that is built to resolve requests on its own, with a human reviewing when needed.
  • Deposits and withdrawals. The Transfers FAQ (dated August 24, 2026) lists debit card, bank transfer (ACH), PayPal, Venmo, Cash App (deposits only) and crypto, plus wire transfers, and says that Kalshi places temporary security holds on deposited funds before they are available for withdrawal, with hold periods depending on the method. It also says deposits cannot be canceled or refunded once submitted, but that after a deposit clears any hold you can withdraw the funds back to the original payment method.
  • BBB. BBB accepts complaints through its profile for Kalshi; its figures are in the complaint-record section.
  • State regulators. Several state attorneys general have taken action over Kalshi's sports contracts (see the regulator section). For a gambling-law or consumer-protection concern, the attorney general of your state takes complaints.

State actions about Kalshi's sports event contracts

Massachusetts. In a statement dated 1/20/2026 on mass.gov, the Massachusetts Attorney General said she had secured a preliminary injunction in her lawsuit against KalshiEX, LLC, which the statement calls a 'self-described online prediction market'. The statement says the court's order 'will allow a preliminary injunction to take effect, prohibiting Kalshi from accepting online sports wagers and related events contracts from Massachusetts customers until the company follows the state laws that govern sports gaming, including licensure by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission', and that the order also denied Kalshi's motion to dismiss the lawsuit filed in September 2025. BBB's summary of the same case (read 2026-10-20) says the suit was filed in Suffolk Superior Court on September 12, 2025 and alleges, among other things, that Kalshi allowed users aged 18 to 21 to trade. These are the Attorney General's allegations; BBB labels the matter a pending government action that has not been resolved. Later developments, including any appeal, are not stated here.

Arizona. In a press release dated March 17, 2026 (azag.gov, read 2026-10-20), the Arizona Attorney General said she filed criminal charges against KalshiEx LLC and Kalshi Trading LLC for operating an unlicensed gambling business and for election wagering. The release describes a 20-count criminal information alleging that Kalshi accepted bets from Arizona residents on sporting contests, player propositions and other events, including four counts of election wagering, and says that on March 12, 2026 Kalshi sued the State of Arizona 'preemptively'. The release does not name a court. These are the State's allegations and have not been proven; the current status of the case was not verified as of 2026-10-20. BBB's profile for Kalshi also displays the Arizona matter as a pending government action.

Federal appeals courts. Courts of appeals have ruled on Kalshi's requests for preliminary injunctions against state enforcement; these are preliminary-injunction rulings, not final judgments. Third Circuit, KalshiEX, LLC v. Flaherty, No. 25-1922 (New Jersey), decided April 6, 2026: the court wrote that 'Kalshi has demonstrated a reasonable chance of success' on its argument that the Commodity Exchange Act preempts state law, and affirmed the district court's grant of the injunction. Ninth Circuit, KalshiEX, LLC v. Assad, No. 25-7516 (Nevada Gaming Control Board), filed August 28, 2026: the panel affirmed in part the district court's order dissolving a preliminary injunction in Kalshi's favor and remanded in part. Sixth Circuit, KalshiEX LLC v. Schuler and v. Orgel, Nos. 26-3196/5235 (Ohio and Tennessee), decided September 25, 2026: the court affirmed the Southern District of Ohio's denial of a preliminary injunction, vacated the Middle District of Tennessee's grant of one, and remanded. Any later petition or further review was not verified.

CFTC. On October 9, 2026 the CFTC published a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking that proposes to define 'swap' expressly to include event contracts (CFTC press release 9310-26). It is a proposal open for public comment, not a final rule.

Kalshi's position. Kalshi's website says it is 'regulated by the CFTC' and calls itself 'the first regulated exchange for trading on the outcomes of real-world events' (company statements, kalshi.com/about, read 2026-10-20). Whether federal commodities law applies to these contracts instead of state gambling law is the question these state actions put before the courts; this page does not take a side.
