Under its Terms, a phone number or email entered for a quote can receive calls, texts and emails from Insurify and its partners, and Insurify publishes text-STOP numbers and privacy contacts to end them. No published complaint reports are currently linked to this profile.

Its Privacy Policy lists, among the recipients of personal information, "insurance carriers and other providers in whose products you express interest", contractors, affiliates and advertising providers, and says information may include consumer reports such as credit reports, driving records and claims history "requested by us or our partners (such as insurance carriers) both before and after an application is finalized." The About page says: "We'll never charge you to show you quotes, or sell your personal information."
Calls, texts and emails. The Terms of Service say that by clicking "Continue" on a phone or email prompt you consent to transactional and marketing messages "via live operators, automated telephone dialing systems, pre-recorded voice, text messages and/or emails", "even if you have previously registered the provided number on the Do Not Call Registry", and that consent to marketing "is not a condition of purchase." If that does not solve it. For a problem with a policy, premium or claim, complain to the insurer first and then to your state insurance department; the NAIC directory links to each state's department and its complaint form. For a complaint about Insurify as the agency, use the same state department; in Massachusetts, the Division of Insurance takes complaints through its online form on mass.gov and asks you to try the company or agent first. Unwanted calls or texts after you opted out can be reported to the FTC at donotcall.gov and to the FCC at fcc.gov/complaints; deceptive sales practices to ReportFraud.ftc.gov and your state attorney general. If a credit card was charged in error, dispute it with the card issuer in writing within 60 days after the statement showing the charge was sent, the window set by the Fair Credit Billing Act. For a debit card or bank withdrawal, notify your bank promptly; the Electronic Fund Transfer Act gives you 60 days from the statement to report an error. BBB also accepts complaints on its Insurify profile.
Court dockets naming Insurify
Calls and texts. Three federal lawsuits by consumers under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the law on unwanted calls and texts, named Insurify entities. All three ended without a ruling on the merits: Sherman v. Insurify, Inc. (E.D. Tex., filed October 2019) was dismissed with prejudice on December 13, 2019 after the plaintiff's notice of voluntary dismissal, each side bearing its own costs; in Taylor v. Insurify Insurance Agency Inc (M.D. Ga., filed December 2024) a notice of settlement was filed on March 3, 2025 and the case was closed on April 21, 2025 after the plaintiff's notice of voluntary dismissal; Knuth v. Insurify, Inc (M.D. Fla., filed March 2025) was dismissed by order on May 20, 2025 after a notice of voluntary dismissal. No settlement terms appear on the dockets.

Other individual suits. Two more federal suits by individuals were voluntarily dismissed by the plaintiffs: Hafizi v. Insurify, Inc. (E.D.N.Y., filed December 2025) by a notice filed on February 20, 2026, and Koontz v. Insurify, Inc. (D. Mass., filed April 2026) by a notice filed on June 25, 2026. Neither case produced a ruling on the merits.
Disputes with competitors. Two trademark suits in Massachusetts federal court were brought by rival insurance businesses, not consumers. In Confie Holding II Co. v. Insurify, Inc. (filed November 2025) Confie alleges that Insurify bought Confie's agency brand names as search-ad keywords; Insurify argues that bidding on competitor keywords is lawful and that it had paused the challenged bids. Coverager reported that the court temporarily barred Insurify from bidding on Confie's marks until March 10, 2026 while both sides filed further briefs. The docket then records a Memorandum and Order on August 6, 2026 and a notice of appeal on September 3, 2026, sent to the First Circuit the next day; the docket entries do not state which side appealed, and the district court case remains open. In Jerry Services Inc. v. Insurify, Inc. (filed April 2026) Jerry, a rival comparison app, alleges that Insurify bid on Jerry's brand names as search-ad keywords; the court has not ruled on these allegations, and the case is open with briefs on a pending motion filed in July 2026.

Business dispute, not a consumer case. Confie Holding II Co. and affiliated insurance agencies (brands including Freeway, InsureOne, Estrella and Velox) sued Insurify for trademark infringement and unfair competition under the Lanham Act, alleging that Insurify bought their brand names as search-ad keywords. These are allegations. Insurify responded that it had paused bidding on those keywords, that bidding on competitor terms is lawful and that Confie delayed seeking relief. Trade outlet Coverager reported that the court temporarily barred Insurify from bidding on Confie's marks until March 10, 2026 while both sides filed further briefs. The docket records a Memorandum and Order on August 6, 2026 and a notice of appeal on September 3, 2026; the appeal record was sent to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit on September 4, 2026.

Business dispute, not a consumer case. Jerry Services, Inc., which runs a competing car-insurance comparison app, sued Insurify; the docket lists the cause as trademark infringement under the Lanham Act. As reported by Insurance Business, Jerry alleges that Insurify bid on Jerry's brand names as search-ad keywords. These are allegations that the court has not ruled on.
Who Insurify is and how the marketplace is organized
Business. Insurify was founded in 2013 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, by Snejina Zacharia, Giorgos Zacharia and Tod Kiryazov. Its comparison engine opened in 2016 in 30 states with up to 82 insurers and, according to the company, reached all 50 states within a year. In March 2023 it completed the purchase of Compare.com from Inspop USA, a company majority owned by the UK insurer Admiral Group, which kept a minority stake in Insurify; the Compare.com brand still operates. Pet insurance quotes, offered through a partnership with the embedded-insurance company Fletch, became available on October 1, 2023. Insurify says customers can compare and buy car, home, life, renters, commercial, business and pet insurance "from up to 500 of our insurance partners"; its Contact page FAQ gives a lower figure, "120+ insurance companies". Both figures are the company's own.
Newer products. Insurify Car is a liability-only car insurance policy billed every seven days; customers manage and cancel it in their Insurify Car account. In February 2026 Insurify launched a car insurance comparison app inside ChatGPT.

Who is who. The Terms name Insurify, Inc. as owner and operator of the sites "and/or its licensed insurance agency affiliate, Insurify Insurance Agency, Inc.", and state that "all insurance agency services are performed by Insurify Insurance Agency, Inc." The policy itself is issued by the insurer you choose, which is why claims and cancellations go to that insurer, not to Insurify.
Licensing. The Licensing Info page says "Insurify Insurance Agency is a licensed insurance agency in 50 states and DC" and lists a license number for each (for example Massachusetts 17405022, New York PC-1400749, Texas 2002091). To confirm a license, look the number up in your state insurance department's licensee search.
Offices. Headquarters in Kendall Square at 201 Broadway, Cambridge, Massachusetts, and an office in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do Insurify quotes work and who gets my information?
Insurify says it compares quotes from partner insurers and earns an agent commission only if you buy a policy through a quote. Its Privacy Policy says personal information may be disclosed to insurance carriers and other providers in whose products you express interest, to contractors and affiliates, and to advertising providers, and that consumer reports (credit, driving record, claims history) may be requested by Insurify or its partners. The About page says Insurify will not sell personal information.
How do I stop Insurify texts and emails?
The Terms of Service say to text STOP to 508-594-8717 (Insurify) or 617-207-8296 (Insurify Car) to end texts, and to click unsubscribe in a marketing email or write to [email protected] or [email protected] for emails; requests are processed within 10 business days. Insurance partners may send their own marketing and must include their own opt-out; [email protected] can help if a partner's opt-out does not work.
How do I cancel a policy bought through Insurify?
The Contact page says to contact your insurance company directly to cancel a policy, and that Insurify Car customers can cancel by logging into their Insurify Car account. For help with a policy bought through Insurify, call servicing at 1 (866) 448-2362, text 1 (855) 734-0979 or email [email protected]. Ask the insurer to confirm the cancellation date and any refund of unused premium in writing.
Who handles a claim on a policy bought through Insurify?
The Contact page says Insurify does not handle insurance claims; claims are filed and managed through the insurer, online or by phone. Insurify Car customers can log in to reach the underwriter's claims site.
How do I ask Insurify to delete my data or stop sharing it?
The Privacy Policy lists requests to know, delete, correct and opt out of sale or sharing. Submit them to [email protected], by the toll-free number (855) 206-0522, or through the form on the sites. The footer also links a Do Not Sell My Data form, and the sites say they honor Global Privacy Control signals.
Is Insurify a licensed insurance agency?
The company says Insurify Insurance Agency, Inc. is licensed in all 50 states and DC and lists a license number for each on its Licensing Info page, for example Massachusetts 17405022. To confirm, enter the number in your state department of insurance's licensee lookup.
Do Insurify's terms require arbitration?
The Terms of Service (last updated October 23, 2026) do require arbitration. They open with a notice that they include a mandatory binding arbitration clause and a waiver of the right to take part in a class action or representative lawsuit, set out in the "Governing Law & Dispute Resolution" section. Before starting arbitration you must send a written Notice of Dispute by certified mail to Insurify, Inc., Attn: Legal Department, 201 Broadway, 6th Floor, Cambridge, MA 02139, describing the claim and the relief you want; the parties then have 30 days to try to resolve it informally. If that fails, the dispute goes to binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association. Massachusetts law governs, and claims that are not subject to arbitration, such as intellectual-property claims, go only to state or federal courts in Middlesex County, Massachusetts.
Where can I file a complaint about an insurance agency?
Start with Insurify in writing: [email protected] for a policy you bought through it, [email protected] for other issues. If that fails, file a complaint with the insurance department of your state, which licenses agencies such as Insurify Insurance Agency; the NAIC directory links to every state department and its complaint form. Problems with the policy itself, the premium or a claim go first to the insurer and then to the same state department. BBB also takes complaints on its Insurify profile, and unwanted calls or texts can be reported to the FTC at donotcall.gov and to the FCC.
