Insight Pest Solutions complaints, cancelling, billing and retreatments: the routes the company publishes (checked October 12, 2026)

This section lists the contact routes and promises the company publishes. It describes the company's own wording; your signed service agreement and your state's rules control. Before you call, check which company serves your address: several former Insight branches now operate under other owners (see the company background section).

Contact and account routes. The company's Contact page gives (888) 234-2847 with hours of 'Mon-Fri (7AM - 7PM)' and 'Sat (8AM - 5 PM)', a 'Contact Customer Care' form for current customers that asks for an account number or full address, a 'Give Feedback' form, and a Client Portal for account history and payments. The FAQ says payments can also be sent by mail to 1214 Copeland Oaks Dr., Morrisville, NC 27560.

Retreatments and the money-back promise. The home page lists five guarantees. Among them: a free retreatment if you have pest issues between its scheduled visits, and 'If we have performed two retreatments between regular visits and interior pests are still not controlled, we will credit your last payment.' The BBB profile lists the same promises, adding that quarterly services include 'Free Interior Treatments' and, for the money-back promise, the parenthetical '(so your next service is free)'. Ask for retreatments by phone or the portal and keep the dates of each request and visit.

Cancelling and contract terms. The company pages opened for this profile (home page, FAQ, Terms and Conditions, which cover only mobile messaging) do not state a contract length, an early-cancellation fee or a cancellation procedure for pest services. Some reviewers on Trustpilot and some BBB complainants describe a one-year commitment or an early-cancellation fee; those are reviewer and complainant accounts, not company terms. The company's Washington and Oregon site (insightpestnorthwest.com) shows a plan 'starting at $79/mo with 24 month agreement'. Read your own agreement and ask for a written copy and for the cancellation steps before you sign or call to cancel.

If the company does not resolve it. The North Carolina Attorney General says it prefers complaints through its online form and gives the toll-free number 1-877-566-7226 (in North Carolina) and (919) 716-6000; the NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services' Structural Pest Control and Pesticides Division lists (984) 236-4575 and the mailing address 1090 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC 27699-1090. If your branch is outside North Carolina, your own state attorney general or pesticide regulator handles complaints there. You can also file with BBB, and a card issuer's dispute process applies to card charges.

Who operates Insight Pest Solutions, and which branches still use the name

The company. BBB lists 'Insight Pest Solutions, LLC' as a Limited Liability Company with headquarters at 1015 Passport Way, Cary, NC, owner Mr. Adam Villareal, business started and incorporated February 24, 2010, and BBB accreditation since March 17, 2011. The company's About page says it was 'founded by Adam Villareal in 2010', started with locations in 4 cities and 'have since grown to 19 offices', and names Adam Villareal as President. The privacy policy (effective date 7/23/26) lists the address 1214 Copeland Oaks Drive, Morrisville, NC 27560.

What it sells. The home page lists a 'Pest Guard' plan (perimeter treatments, sealing entry points, web and nest removal), a 12-month mosquito control program and termite services with a free inspection. The page lists 27 location names, including Albuquerque, Atlanta, Boston, Cleveland, Pensacola, Portland, Seattle and a 'Canada' entry.

Branches now run by other companies. Pest Control Technology (PCT) magazine and a PR Newswire release report several sales of Insight branches to two buyers. For Greenix Pest Control: PCT (June 28, 2024) reported 'its recent acquisition of four Insight Pest Solutions branches based in Wisconsin, Ohio and Indiana' (it names states, not cities), and on May 19, 2026 Greenix announced 'the acquisition of select operations from Insight Pest Solutions', including 'service operations in the Boston and New Hampshire markets'; the release calls this 'Greenix's second acquisition involving Insight operations' and quotes Adam Vilareal [sic], Insight Pest Solutions President (PCT republished it on May 22, 2026). The Boston and New Hampshire pages on insightpest.com now say 'Powered by Greenix' and 'Your Insight branch is now part of the Greenix family!'. For Massey Services, PCT reported acquisitions of Insight Pest Solutions of Wilmington, N.C., and Virginia Beach, Va. (October 7, 2021); Knoxville, Tenn. (October 4, 2022); Oklahoma City, Okla., serving Oklahoma City and Tulsa (November 8, 2022); Augusta, Ga. (January 17, 2024); Myrtle Beach, S.C. (February 5, 2024); Nashville, Tenn. (February 27, 2024); and San Antonio, Texas (April 21, 2025). Dates are PCT publication dates. If your service address is in an acquired market, your agreement and billing may be with the buyer; the sources opened do not say which Ohio, Wisconsin or Indiana branches Greenix bought, and insightpest.com still shows Cleveland and Toledo (Ohio) pages.

Other businesses using the name. The company site links its Canada entry to insightpestcanada.com. Pest Control Technology magazine (November 17, 2025) describes 'Insight Pest Solutions Canada' as founded in 2020 by Brendan and Jessica Quinlan and says it has also opened branches in Australia; none of the sources opened for this profile states how that business is related to Insight Pest Solutions, LLC. The Portland and Seattle entries link to insightpestnorthwest.com, a separate site for Washington and Oregon, titled 'Insight Pest Solutions | Washington and Oregon Pest Control Services' with the headline 'Insight Pest Control Solutions'; the sources opened do not state its legal operator. What BBB and Trustpilot show (as displayed on October 12, 2026)

BBB. The BBB profile for Insight Pest Solutions, LLC (Cary, NC, headquarters) shows rating A+, BBB Accredited, '82 total complaints in the last 3 years' and '25 complaints filed in the last 12 months'. BBB says the profile includes complaints for the headquarters and its corporate-owned locations. Customer reviews on BBB show 4.46 out of 5 stars, 'Average of 229 Customer Reviews'. BBB also notes that it does not verify the accuracy of information supplied by third parties. On the complaints page BBB shows status filters 'Complaint Answered (74)' and 'Complaint Resolved (8)' and type filters 'Service or Repair Issues (36)', 'Order Issues (25)', 'Billing Issues (8)', 'Product Issues (5)', 'Sales and Advertising Issues (5)' and 'Customer Service Issues (3)'; these are BBB's own filter counts as displayed, not findings of fault. Several complainant texts published there describe cancellation fees (for example 'an arbitrary $500.00 cancellation fee'); these are complainants' allegations, and some complaints are shown with a business response from Insight. On Trustpilot, by contrast, the profile says 'Hasn't replied to negative reviews'; the two platforms are reported separately.

Trustpilot. Trustpilot shows 715 reviews and a score of 3.6 ('Average') for insightpest.com: 68 percent 5-star and 26 percent 1-star, with 4-, 3- and 2-star shares of 4 percent, under 1 percent and 1 percent. The profile shows 'Claimed profile', 'September 2020', 'This company hasn't invited customers recently, so reviews may not be representative' and 'Hasn't replied to negative reviews'. Trustpilot says it does not fact-check reviews, and its listing may include reviews about branches that are now run by other companies.

What reviewers describe. On the first page of Trustpilot reviews read on October 12, 2026 (dated between February and October 2026), several describe difficulty cancelling, charges after a cancellation request, an early-cancellation fee, a one-year commitment, monthly billing with less frequent spraying, and requests for re-sprays; other reviews on the page praise technicians. These are individual accounts that this site has not verified, and they are not a count of cases. The same company site publishes customer quotes praising its technicians.

Other places checked. A search of ComplaintsBoard for 'insight pest solutions' on October 12, 2026 returned no listing for the company. This site has no approved complaint posts about Insight Pest Solutions as of October 12, 2026 (searched by company name, domain and phone number). The BBB, Trustpilot and any complaints posted here are separate sources and are not added together.

Court and regulator records checked

Court dockets. A CourtListener search on October 12, 2026 for the exact phrase 'Insight Pest Solutions' returned 9 cases. One is a new docket naming 'Insight Pest Solutions WA LLC' as the defendant (below). The other eight are dockets between other parties in which the phrase appears in a filing, for example in a debtor's list of creditors or in a contract schedule; this site did not read each filing in full, and the company is not shown as a party in them.

Madden-Jones v. Insight Pest Solutions WA LLC (W.D. Wash., 2:26-cv-03771). The docket shows a complaint filed on October 5, 2026, a summons issued on October 6, 2026 and a 'Case/IFP Deficiency Letter' the same day. The public docket view does not state the claims, and nothing in the sources opened states how 'Insight Pest Solutions WA LLC' relates to Insight Pest Solutions, LLC. The case is at its first stage and no ruling or answer is shown.

Regulators. No consent order, civil penalty or administrative action against Insight Pest Solutions, LLC was identified in the sources checked on October 12, 2026 (the BBB profile, CourtListener, the company's own pages and news search). State pest-control license records for each branch were not searched. BBB lists North Carolina license numbers 1973PW and JB256710, issued by the NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, for the business; this site did not open the state's license search to confirm their current status.
