hoka.com is the official store of HOKA: the site's footer names Deckers Brands, and the Terms identify Deckers Outdoor Corporation, which files annual reports with the SEC under the ticker DECK (SEC filing data checked 2026-10-20). HOKA's own page on spotting a fake HOKA webstore says look-alike webstores use the HOKA name and logo and advises checking the website address for odd letters or numbers. Orders from unrelated domains are not HOKA orders. The company's warranty and return rules apply only to products bought from HOKA.com, the call center, HOKA stores or authorized retailers.

Complaint and review record as displayed on 2026-10-20

No complaints about HOKA were found in this site's own archive when this page was prepared on 2026-10-20 (a text search of approved posts for the word HOKA returned one 2009 post about an unrelated website; Deckers-named posts concern look-alike websites, not HOKA).

BBB. The BBB profile used is "Deckers Retail, LLC", Goleta, CA (headquarters; BBB says it includes complaints for the headquarters and its corporate-owned locations, so it is not specific to HOKA). As displayed: A+ rating; BBB Accredited; 817 complaints in the last 3 years and 339 in the last 12 months; customer reviews average 1.19 out of 5 from 134 reviews. BBB raw page data lists accreditation 2018-04-26, business start 1994-10-31 and incorporated 1993-09-09. Individual BBB reviews name HOKA; the counts are for the whole profile and are not summed with any other source.

Trustpilot. The Trustpilot page for www.hoka.com showed 14,345 reviews and a 3.7 score, a claimed profile (since Jun 2022) with a paid Trustpilot subscription; the displayed distribution was 61% 5-star, 7% 4-star, 4% 3-star, 4% 2-star and 24% 1-star. The page includes reviews written in pounds, so it is not limited to U.S. customers. Trustpilot says it does not fact-check reviews. These ratings are what the platforms display, not a finding by this site.

HOKA complaints: returns, exchanges and warranty claims

This page was checked on 2026-10-20. HOKA's U.S. Help Center lists customer care at 1-866-491-3125 (call or text, Monday to Saturday 10am-7pm EST, per the page) and live chat. Returns, exchanges and warranty claims start in the Returns Center linked from the Help Center.

Returns and exchanges. The Fly for 30 Guarantee page says: "send them back within 30 days of the original purchase for a full refund or product exchange", and adds that HOKA reserves the right to "verify customer information, require a valid proof of purchase, and deny Guarantee requests at our sole discretion" if it determines a customer is abusing the Guarantee or has engaged in fraud. The Help Center article "How to Return or Exchange" counts differently: the product must be "Received from HOKA.com, HOKA Call Center, or official HOKA store within the last 30 days (60 days for HOKA Members)"; footwear must be returned as a complete pair, in a return shipping box (not the shoe box alone), with proof of purchase. Monogrammed or personalized products, gift cards and final-sale products cannot be returned or exchanged. The article says returns can take up to 15 business days after they are delivered to the warehouse, and that items bought from an authorized retailer are not accepted by HOKA.com and must go back to that retailer.

More detailShow less

The article also lists these conditions: products "must be returned in original packaging if available" and "must be in our current product line, which is posted on HOKA.com"; HOKA says it sells at the suggested retail price and "this is the amount of credit you will be issued". Exchange requests are "subject to product availability"; if the item is no longer available, "a credit will be issued to the original form of payment". Free return shipping applies to hoka.com orders within the contiguous U.S. only; HOKA store purchases and gifts are not eligible for free return shipping, and the customer pays to mail them to the warehouse (Hoka Returns Department, 2757 Westpoint Blvd, Mooresville, IN 46158, "using a trackable shipping method"). The article also says to contact the authorized retailer for returns of items bought there.

Warranty. The U.S. Limited Warranty (last updated 3/6/2026 on the page) says products will be free from material or workmanship defects "for one year from the date of purchase or the date of delivery (whichever occurs later) by the original consumer purchaser", with proof of purchase, and only for products bought from HOKA.com, the HOKA call center, HOKA flagship locations or authorized U.S. retailers.

More detailShow less

The page says items sent under warranty will not be repaired; the process starts with a Warranty Claim form in the Returns Center, then a virtual evaluation by the Warranty Team that, per the page, can take 1 to 3 weeks; the page says not to ship the product before approval. If the product is eligible after the virtual evaluation, the Warranty Team "will advise next steps to send your product to our warehouse for physical evaluation". Only "If approved after physical evaluation" does the customer receive a merchandise credit for eligible HOKA.com purchases in the amount of the purchase price; the page says the merchandise credit does not expire. The page also says: "If your product is not eligible under our warranty policy, your warranty claim will be denied, and you will not be able to return your product to us." The page says the customer is responsible for the costs of mailing the items and that HOKA "is not responsible for items lost in transit". Excluded items include normal wear and tear, accidental damage, water damage, items with manufacturing tags removed, defaced or altered, and products from unauthorized sellers; the page also says HOKA does not offer its limited warranty for products purchased on eBay or other online auctions and may reject claims for products bought from unauthorized sellers, including marketplace storefronts.

Other routes. Card disputes go through your card issuer. You can also file a complaint with your state attorney general or the FTC (reportfraud.ftc.gov); these are general routes, not HOKA-specific channels. Product-safety incidents can be reported at SaferProducts.gov.

Litigation and regulatory record

Deckers' 10-K (Item 3, Legal Proceedings) says the company files lawsuits to protect its intellectual property and is from time to time involved in proceedings arising in the ordinary course of business, including employment, intellectual property, product liability and breach of contract claims, and says it "currently believe[s]" these ordinary-course matters will not "have a material adverse effect" on its business, results of operations, financial condition or cash flows (the company's statement).

Ninth Circuit appeal. The Justia docket for U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit case 26-6332 (opened 2026-10-20) lists the defendant as "DECKERS OUTDOOR CORPORATION, DBA Hoka" and the plaintiffs as suing "individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated". It shows the case filed September 28, 2026, nature of suit "Other Statutory Actions", arising from district-court case 2:25-cv-09654 (C.D. Cal.), with the opening brief due 12/16/2026 and the answering brief due 1/15/2027. Justia says the docket was last retrieved on September 28, 2026. The allegations and the outcome are unverified. An appeal docket is not a finding on the merits.

No other federal docket against Deckers entities is described here.

The CPSC recall database search for HOKA in the recall title returned no results on 2026-10-20 (one older result for the name Deckers concerns a Teva sandal recall, a different brand).

For U.S. customers the Terms (opened 2026-10-20) say disputes are resolved by binding arbitration "in accordance with the Consumer Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association"; that "Compliance with and completing this informal dispute resolution process is a condition precedent to commencing an arbitration" (a written notice, then sixty (60) days of good-faith efforts to resolve the dispute); that "You and Deckers also have the right to bring qualifying claims in small claims court"; and that "Neither you nor Deckers may act as a class representative". The Terms also say California law applies except as otherwise described.
