FundsNetwork: what it is and where to take a problem

This page was checked on 2026-10-22 and 2026-10-23. The FundsNetwork User Agreement defines 'FundsNetwork' as 'Fidelity's investment platform for mutual funds and other collective investment vehicles', and defines the FundsNetwork Site as the FundsNetwork2.com website.

More detailShow less

It describes the users as a 'Fund/Agent', meaning any entity that is a party to a Services Agreement with one or more Fidelity entities, and their end users. The site's login page shows username and password fields, a 'Remember my username' box and a 'Forgot username or password?' link. The User Agreement says use of the site is limited to within the United States.

  • Locked out or password reset. The 'Contact Firm Admin' page, reached from 'Forgot username or password?' on the login page, says: 'Please contact your firm's administrator to reset your password.' That is the company's own stated route; no consumer phone number is given on that page.
  • Services Agreement questions. The User Agreement says use of the FundsNetwork Site is governed by the User Agreement itself, and defines the separate Services Agreement as the agreement that 'governs the availability of mutual funds or other investment products associated with Fund/Agent that are held through FundsNetwork'.
    More detailShow less

It also says the User Agreement is 'in addition to any other agreements between Fund/Agent and any Fidelity Entity, including any Services Agreement'.

  • Disputes and notices by a fund firm. Section 10 of the User Agreement says it is governed by 'the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' and that 'All notices to Fidelity pertaining to this Agreement should be sent directly to Fidelity in accordance with the notice provisions of the Services Agreement.' The word 'arbitration' does not appear in the User Agreement.
  • Who may use the site. Section 2 requires the end user to be 'an authorized representative of Fund/Agent or an authorized representative of an approved third party', and Section 3 grants access 'solely for the purpose of Fund/Agent's internal business purposes'.
  • Access can be withdrawn. Section 8 says 'Fidelity may immediately terminate its provision of the Services to End User, Fund/Agent or any third party' and that Fidelity 'may monitor, store and retrieve any electronic communication transmitted on the FundsNetwork Site'.
    More detailShow less

Section 17 says Fidelity may modify, suspend or terminate access 'at any time'. Section 4 makes the end user 'responsible for the confidentiality and use of any user name, password, access code, or PIN', and Section 11 says the end user 'agrees to be liable for any and all fees, charges or expenses incurred in connection with the use of the FundsNetwork Site'. Section 9 says nothing on the site is 'a recommendation for any security'. The agreement shows 'last modified September 1, 2026'.

  • Investors in mutual funds. An individual who owns a fund through a Fidelity brokerage account deals with Fidelity Brokerage Services LLC at its customer-service channels (see fidelity.com); the FundsNetwork site is not described as a retail investor portal.
  • Complaints about a brokerage firm. FINRA's File a Complaint page says: 'Before you file a complaint with FINRA, contact your firm.' It adds that if you lost money or there was an unauthorized trade in your account, 'you should complain in writing', and that if you are not satisfied with your broker's response you can contact the firm's branch manager or compliance department.

FINRA's Need Help page says investors can use its online form to report potentially fraudulent or suspicious activities by brokerage firms or their employees; it lists general inquiries at 301-590-6500 and the Securities Helpline for Seniors at 844-574-3577 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm ET). Both pages were read on 2026-10-23.
