Fora Travel complaints: where to go with a booking, cancellation, refund or subscription problem (checked October 21, 2026)

Work out which of two relationships you have. Fora Travel, Inc. runs a platform for independent travel advisors. Travelers book trips through an advisor. People who join as advisors pay Fora a membership. The complaints and reviews published about Fora are a mix of both, so start by identifying yours.

If you are a traveler. Fora's Terms of Use (last updated August 31, 2026) say in capitals: "PAYMENT DISPUTES, CANCELLATIONS, AND/OR SERVICE ISSUES MUST BE REFERRED TO THE APPLICABLE FORA ADVISOR AND/OR TRAVEL PROVIDER."

More detailShow less

They also say Fora "is not the seller or provider of any travel products or services reserved or booked through the website" and that Fora Advisors are independent contractors, and they disclaim responsibility for advisors and providers "except where otherwise explicitly stated in its booking terms." A separate clause says you are responsible for payment for all travel products booked through the website or by an advisor, and that the amount quoted may differ from the amount charged to your credit card. A further clause in the Terms says you assume the risks of a trip and release Fora from claims associated with a trip, including third-party negligence, and covenant not to sue Fora for such claims; read it before relying on any claim against Fora. In practice: contact your advisor first and in writing, then the hotel, airline, cruise line or tour operator whose terms govern your booking. The Terms also say you must review your itinerary and travel documents on receipt and report any errors to the advisor. For a general company contact the Contact Us page gives [email protected] and a mailing address (228 Park Ave South, Suite 53272, New York, NY 10003-1502). No U.S. traveler booking-terms page was found in the Legal Center on October 21, 2026; its "Booking Terms & Conditions" page is labelled for UK travelers.

If you are an advisor. The company's FAQ for prospective advisors states the membership price as "$99/quarter or $299/year" and a commission split of 70/30 (80/20 after selling $300,000 of travel in the calendar year, a threshold the FAQ says resets annually). A complaint on the BBB profile displayed on October 21, 2026 concerns a $99 automatic renewal of an advisor subscription and a refund request after cancelling; that is one consumer's account. Fora's response on BBB (August 24, 2026) says the subscription was canceled and the $99 quarterly fee was refunded; BBB lists the complaint as Answered. Before you join or renew, read the advisor agreement and subscription terms you are shown at sign-up.

Dispute rights and deadlines. The website Terms contain a binding individual arbitration clause (American Arbitration Association consumer rules), a class-action waiver with a small-claims exception, New York governing law, and a clause that any claim must be started within one year after it arises, to the fullest extent the law permits.

UK users are carved out of the arbitration clause. If you paid by credit card, your card issuer's dispute process has its own deadlines; ask the issuer. Outside the company you can also file with your state attorney general or the FTC (reportfraud.ftc.gov), and for a complaint the company has not resolved, BBB accepts complaints on Fora's profile.

The same FAQ answers "Is Fora an MLM?" with: "No. Advisors work independently, and earnings come directly from the travel you book, not from recruiting others."
