There is no purchase minimum and no early cancellation fee. Most subscriptions recur every 30 days. You can manage the subscription in your online account or ask customer care by phone or email to change or cancel it. The terms set no notice period, so cancel before the next scheduled charge. If you cancel by phone, ask for an email confirming the cancellation and keep it. Charges appear under the name "Dr. Marty Pets". California's automatic renewal law (Business and Professions Code section 17602) requires a business that lets California consumers sign up for a subscription online to let them cancel it online as well.
90-day money-back guarantee. The Return Policy in the Terms and Conditions says: "We offer a 90-Day Money Back guarantee on all Products purchased through our Website." The guarantee starts on the day the order ships from the fulfillment center and ends 90 days later. To start a return, fill in the form at drmartypets.com/returns (email, order number and a reason) or call customer care at (800) 670-1839. If you are within the period, you receive a return authorization (RA) number and shipping instructions. Include the RA number in the package: the Terms say shipments without one will not be refunded and will be destroyed. You pay return shipping, and the refund is processed once the returned products arrive at the company's shipping facility.
Bought in a store or from another retailer. The guarantee is worded for purchases made through the company's website. For a bag bought at a store or another online shop, ask that seller about its return policy.
If your pet became ill after eating the food. See a veterinarian and keep the bag with its lot number. Report the problem to the FDA through its Safety Reporting Portal at safetyreporting.fda.gov; the FDA asks owners to keep the original packaging until the food is used up, because the lot number identifies the plant and production date. Tell customer care as well.
Charge you do not recognize or a refund that does not arrive. Contact customer care first and keep the order number and any RA number. If a credit card charge is not resolved, write to your card issuer's billing-inquiries address so the letter arrives within 60 days after the first statement showing the charge was sent to you, the window set by the Fair Credit Billing Act; debit card disputes follow the bank's own rules.
