Independent profile — not affiliated with DPD Group
DPD Group
DPD Group (DPDgroup, legally Geopost SA since 2023) is the real, large international parcel-delivery network owned by La Poste Groupe, France's national postal operator; its UK arm, DPDgroup UK Ltd, is on the active UK Companies House register. This company is not accused of wrongdoing here. The reason it has a profile is a separate, well-documented issue: since at least 2020, criminals have run repeated SMS/email phishing ("smishing") campaigns impersonating DPD's name and branding to steal payment card details through a fake "redelivery fee" page.

About DPD Group
DPD Group (legal name Geopost SA, styled "DPDgroup" from 2015-2023 and rebranded "Geopost" in 2023) is the parcel and express-delivery arm of La Poste Groupe, France's national postal operator. Geopost is headquartered in Issy-les-Moulineaux, France, and was founded in 1999. In 2024 it delivered 2.1 billion parcels and reported €15.8 billion in revenue across more than 50 countries, operating through national brands including DPD, Chronopost, SEUR, BRT, Speedy and Jadlog (Wikipedia; La Poste Groupe).
In the United Kingdom, the network is run by DPDgroup UK Ltd (Companies House company no. 00732993, status: active), registered at Roebuck Lane, Smethwick, West Midlands. That company was incorporated in 1962 as Mayne Nickless (U.K.) Limited, became Geopost UK Limited following La Poste's November 2000 acquisition of the former Parceline courier network, and adopted its current name in 2015; the "DPD" trading brand itself replaced "Parceline" in March 2008 (UK Companies House; Wikipedia).
Is DPD Group Legitimate?
DPD Group is a real, large, legitimate international courier company — it is not accused of any wrongdoing on this page. Its UK operating company is on the public UK Companies House register in active standing, and it is a subsidiary of La Poste Groupe, France's national postal operator (Companies House; La Poste Groupe).
As of this review, USAComplaints has no confirmed complaints filed against DPD Group itself. A cluster of older complaints on this site that surface under a "DPD" name search were individually checked and found to concern an unrelated business — "DPD Pools"/pooldeals.com, a New York-area pool-equipment retailer — and are not linked to this profile.
The reason this profile exists is a different, well-documented issue: criminals impersonating DPD's name and branding in phishing text messages and emails to trick people into paying a fake "redelivery fee" — see below.
The "DPD Delivery" Text and Email Scam
Since at least 2020, criminals have run repeated SMS/email "smishing" campaigns impersonating DPD. A typical message claims a delivery attempt failed or an address needs confirming, and links to a convincing fake DPD-branded website asking for a small "redelivery fee" — commonly around £1.45-£3, or roughly $1.50-$3 in similar international variants — to harvest payment card details; some victims are later called by someone posing as their bank about "suspicious transactions" (Action Fraud; Which?).
UK national fraud-reporting body Action Fraud recorded 166 reports of the scam between June and November with a combined £139,000 in reported losses, plus a further 35 reports and £103,000 in losses in the first week of December alone (Action Fraud alert). Researchers have documented the same pattern recurring in later waves: Bitdefender's 2023 research traced a DPD-impersonating SMS campaign using unique per-victim phishing links hosted on compromised European domains, and an April 2026 writeup found the "fake redelivery fee" pattern still active, now paired with card-testing and follow-on fraudulent charges (Bitdefender; MalwareTips, Apr 2026).
DPD's own official guidance states a genuine DPD email will only come from @dpd.co.uk, @dpdlocal.co.uk, @dpdgroup.co.uk, or @dpd.uk, and that genuine links in emails or texts only ever point to www.dpd.co.uk, www.dpdlocal.co.uk, or www.dpdgroup.co.uk (with track.dpd.co.uk recommended separately as the site's own tracking page). DPD says it will never ask for a password, bank details, or a "redelivery fee" via a link in email, text, or iMessage.
As of this check, DPD's guidance describes additional verification signals it has since rolled out. Emails that support BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) will show a blue checkmark and DPD's logo next to the sender name in supporting email clients. For texts, DPD has joined the UK Mobile Ecosystem Forum's SMS SenderID Protection Registry and now displays a consistent sender name -- "DPD UK," "DPD Local," or "DPDgroup UK" -- at the top of a genuine text thread, rather than the retailer's own brand name, specifically to make the sender harder to spoof; the retailer's name still appears in the body of the message. DPD's page also states that the most recent campaigns it has observed are primarily iMessage-based rather than plain SMS, and flags the "iMessage" label itself (genuine DPD alerts are sent via SMS, not iMessage) and Apple's own blue "Report Junk/Spam" prompt for unrecognized senders as additional tells (DPD UK — official phishing guidance, re-verified 2026-08-25).
If you get a suspicious "DPD" text or email: don't click the link. Forward a text to 7726 (free on all UK mobile networks) or report a phishing email to [email protected] (National Cyber Security Centre). If you already entered card details, contact your bank immediately and report the loss to Action Fraud at actionfraud.police.uk or 0300 123 2040. To check a real delivery, go directly to www.dpd.co.uk or call DPD UK customer service on 0121 275 0500 rather than using any link from the message.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is DPD Group a real, legitimate company?
Yes. DPD Group (legally Geopost SA, trading as DPDgroup/DPD) is a real international parcel-delivery network owned by La Poste Groupe, France's national postal operator. Its UK operating company, DPDgroup UK Ltd, is on the active UK Companies House register (company no. 00732993). This page does not allege any wrongdoing by DPD Group itself — it exists to document scams that impersonate DPD's name.
I got a text saying DPD couldn't deliver my parcel and asking for a redelivery fee — is that real?
Almost certainly not. This is a widely-reported phishing ("smishing") pattern impersonating DPD. UK fraud-reporting body Action Fraud logged 166 reports and £139,000 in losses over a six-month period from one wave of this scam alone, and researchers have tracked similar campaigns recurring through 2026. DPD's own guidance says it will never ask for payment or card details via a text or email link.
How can I tell a genuine DPD email or text from a scam?
Per DPD's own official guidance, a genuine DPD email only ever comes from @dpd.co.uk, @dpdlocal.co.uk, @dpdgroup.co.uk, or @dpd.uk, and genuine links only ever point to www.dpd.co.uk, www.dpdlocal.co.uk, or www.dpdgroup.co.uk (track.dpd.co.uk is DPD's own separate tracking page). A genuine text is never shown as an "iMessage" and will display as being from "DPD UK," "DPD Local," or "DPDgroup UK" rather than a retailer's name or a random number. Supporting email clients will also show a blue BIMI checkmark next to a genuine DPD sender. Anything else — a lookalike domain, a random-number sender, an iMessage label, or a request for card details — is not genuinely from DPD.
How do I report a fake "DPD" text or email?
Forward a scam text to 7726 (free on UK mobile networks) or report a phishing email to [email protected] (National Cyber Security Centre). If you entered payment details on a fake site, contact your bank immediately and report the fraud to Action Fraud at actionfraud.police.uk or 0300 123 2040.
