Searching for Destro AI? Who it is and where to go
Destro AI Inc. sells software (and, per its Terms, robotic systems) to businesses that run warehouses and factories; its Terms say the Services are "intended for businesses and for individuals who are at least 18 years old," and its website describes no consumer-facing product. The company announced an $8 million seed round on September 29, 2026 (company press release). Below is what the company's own pages say about how to reach it and what its contracts and privacy policy provide, plus the public sources checked.
- If you are a customer or evaluating a pilot: the Terms say fees are set out in "an applicable order form, quote, or Services Agreement," that a signed Services Agreement "governs and controls" over the website Terms, and that "Cancellation and renewal terms in a Services Agreement control." Read your order form first, then contact [email protected] (the address the company lists for the "Legal Team" in its Terms).
- If you work at a site where Destro robots operate: the Terms require the customer to promptly report "incidents, malfunctions, or safety concerns to Destro AI." A U.S. worker can also report unsafe conditions to OSHA; OSHA's File a Complaint page says a safety and health complaint can be filed "online, by phone or letter" and "anonymously," and that for such complaints the "Filing deadline is less than 6 months."
- If you want to know what robot sensors collect about you: the Privacy Policy lists on-board cameras and microphones and says recordings "may, in some circumstances, include identifiable individuals in or near the operating environment." It tells people to submit privacy requests using its "Contact Us" details, which name [email protected], and says it will respond "generally within 45 days, extendable by an additional 45 days." For data it processes on behalf of a customer, the policy says it "will direct your request to the relevant customer or assist them in responding," so a request about warehouse data may be handled by the customer that controls that data.
- To report a business practice to a regulator: the FTC's ReportFraud site accepts reports about a company or an unwanted call.
The company's website navigation (Home, About, Mothership OS, Vision OS, Newsroom, Insights, Careers, Security, Contact) and footer link no separate customer-support, cancellation, claims or complaint page. This was checked on 2026-10-01 and is not a statement about what customers receive under their own contracts. The site publishes no telephone number on its Contact page. On that page the text shows [email protected], but the link behind it is coded as mailto:[email protected] (page source, 2026-10-01); the Terms (section 29) print [email protected] as plain text, so a sender may wish to type the address from the Terms and confirm the recipient before sending sensitive material.
Company background
Operator. The Terms and the Privacy Policy, both showing "Last updated April 1, 2026," name Destro AI Inc. as the contracting company and describe it as "a robotics-as-a-service ("RaaS") and artificial intelligence company that provides AI-powered orchestration software and robotic systems for warehouse and factory operations." The state of incorporation was not confirmed from a registry in the sources checked.
Addresses (three statements, all shown on 2026-10-01). The website's Contact page lists "HQ" as 370 Jay Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201. The company's press releases are datelined Brooklyn, N.Y. The Terms and the Privacy Policy list a mailing address in Jersey City, New Jersey, and neither document calls it the headquarters; its street address is not reproduced on this page.
Products, as the company describes them. MothershipOS is a "shared mind outside the robot body" that decides which robot should perform which task; VisionOS is "on-robot intelligence" for perception and manipulation using models "trained from human demonstrations" (press release, September 29, 2026). The company says its software is robot-agnostic and works across hardware from different makers. Its homepage markets outcomes under "Production Outcomes," including a "30–40%" building productivity increase, a "3–5 Months" typical payback period, "10¢ → 2¢" cost per unit handled, "$2.5M" annual savings per 50K sq ft warehouse, "1.5–2 FTE" replaced per robot and a "30–60%" throughput increase per labor hour; these are the company's own marketing figures, not independently measured results, and the homepage text read does not state how they were calculated.
People and funding (company and press statements). Manthan Pawar is named as Founder and CEO. The press release says the founding team has "backgrounds at HAI Robotics, Dexterity, and Matic," and that the $8 million seed round was co-led by Base10 Partners and Bonfire Ventures, with participation from CoFound Partners. TechCrunch (September 30, 2026) and SiliconANGLE report the same round. No valuation appeared in the sources read, and no founding year is stated in them; the press release says only that Destro is live in production "less than a year after founding."
Named customer. The company names one customer, Yusen Logistics (Americas) Inc. A joint announcement posted on Destro's site on August 3, 2026 (datelined Secaucus, NJ and Brooklyn, NY) says Yusen "has entered a strategic collaboration" with Destro and that the initial deployment "focuses on optimizing cart movements within Yusen Logistics' transload operations." TechCrunch, citing the company and Yusen's director of automation, reports a pilot at a Yusen facility in the Pacific Northwest with three cart-moving robots built by Miva Robotics, expanding to 26 robots, and a 17-robot pilot at a Southern California facility. These are company and press accounts, not records this site has verified.
Public timeline. The Robot Report reported on February 10, 2026 that Destro "emerged from stealth" at the Manifest conference in Las Vegas; TechCrunch's September 30, 2026 article says the startup "came out of stealth Tuesday." The two accounts differ and this page does not choose between them. TechCrunch also lists Destro among the Startup Battlefield competitors at its Disrupt event scheduled for October 13–15, 2026.
Security attestation. The company's Security page says it received a SOC 2 Type 1 report from KEN & Co. CPA LLC evaluating the design of controls for security, availability and confidentiality "as of July 31, 2026," that a Type 2 examination "is underway," and that the report can be requested under NDA (a request link on that page opens an email to [email protected]). This page has not seen the report. The page's HTML also contains a second version of that sentence, marked in the page's CSS for screens narrower than 810 pixels, that reads "from [AUDITOR NAME]" and "for [SYSTEM NAME] as of [REPORT DATE]" with the template brackets unfilled; at a desktop width on 2026-10-01 only the KEN & Co. CPA LLC wording displayed.
What the company's own job postings say (company statements, read 2026-10-01). The Staff Software Engineer, Physical AI Orchestration posting (New York, NY) says the platform consists of several services "built independently and under deadline pressure to win early customer pilots," that these "work in production today," and that there is "no shared architecture, no consistent versioning or release process, no automated deployment pipeline, limited test coverage, and insufficient telemetry to detect site degradation before customers notice it"; it adds that the approach is incremental "since the platform runs live customer operations that cannot be interrupted." The Robotics Software Engineer, Field Deployment & Support posting (Sumner, WA) says "Regular work outside standard business hours should be expected, including nights and weekends" and "Extensive travel to customer sites is required, at times on short notice." Both postings say Destro "recently closed its Seed round at one of the highest valuations for a robotics company at this stage"; no valuation figure appeared in the sources read. These statements describe the company's engineering plans and job conditions; they are not findings about the performance of its deployments.
Not to be confused with other "Destro" businesses. A separate company, Destro LLC (destrotechnologies.com), advertises AI chatbots, CRM and social-media automation for small businesses and lists an address at 2450 Holcombe Boulevard, Houston, TX 77021; its site also shows a second Houston address (11455 Bissonnet St), a London address and two telephone numbers, and some of its pages still carry "Lorem ipsum" template text. Neither company's pages read for this profile state a connection to the other. Approved USAComplaints posts that merely contain the word "destroyed" or "destroy" are about unrelated matters.
Complaint and review record: what was checked
This page reports each check separately and does not combine them. All were run on 2026-10-01.
- USAComplaints: no approved complaint posts about Destro AI were found; posts that contain similar-looking words (for example "destroyed") concern other companies and people.
- BBB: in a Chrome browser session on 2026-10-01, a BBB search for "Destro AI" with the country set to U.S. returned a "No Results Found" page ("No results for "Destro AI""), and a search for "Destro AI Inc" near Brooklyn, NY returned the same page. No BBB profile for the company was identified in these two searches; BBB says it does not have every business in its directory.
- Trustpilot: the pages trustpilot.com/review/destroai.com and /review/www.destroai.com display "Whoops! The page you're looking for could not be found," and a Trustpilot search for "destro ai" showed no Destro AI listing on its first page of results.
- ComplaintsBoard: the site search for "Destro" (complaintsboard.com/?search=Destro) returned "No reviews matching “Destro”."
- CFPB Consumer Complaint Database: a company-name lookup for "Destro" returned no match. Destro AI is not described as a financial company; this is noted only for completeness.
- Federal courts (CourtListener): searches of the RECAP archive on courtlistener.com for "Destro AI," "Destro AI Inc," "Manthan Pawar" and MothershipOS each showed "0 Results," as did the site's opinion search (published opinions) for "Destro AI" and "Manthan Pawar." Other courts' dockets, and state courts, were not searched.
- SEC EDGAR: the EDGAR company-name search for "destro" listed five names (two individuals and three entries for Destron Fearing Corp, Destron Fearing Corp /DE/ and Destron, Inc.), none named Destro AI. The EDGAR full-text search, run with the date range "All (since 2001)", showed "No results found for your search!" for "Destro AI," "Destro AI Inc," "Manthan Pawar" and MothershipOS. A control search for "Base10 Partners" did not show that message. Form D filings are not separately covered by the full-text search, so the company-name list is the check relied on for registrant records.
- Web news search: a search for Destro AI together with "lawsuit," "complaint," "data breach," "layoffs" and "recall" returned no article about such an event involving Destro AI.
Not completed: OSHA's establishment-inspection search returned a human-verification page and was not run; state attorney-general and state regulator databases and state data-breach notice lists were not searched individually. A search that finds nothing does not show that nothing exists, particularly for a company that, by its own account, was founded less than a year before September 2026.
Is Destro AI Legitimate?
Destro AI Inc. publishes Terms and a Privacy Policy (both last updated April 1, 2026) that name it as the contracting company, a Contact page with a Brooklyn, NY headquarters address and an email address, and a Security page stating a SOC 2 Type 1 report as of July 31, 2026 from KEN & Co. CPA LLC. Its customer Yusen Logistics (Americas) Inc. is quoted in a release posted on Destro's site, and TechCrunch (September 30, 2026) interviewed a Yusen automation director about the deployment.
What this page could not confirm: a state registry record for Destro AI Inc., its state of incorporation, a founding date, a valuation, or the contents of the SOC 2 report. No BBB, Trustpilot or ComplaintsBoard profile, no federal court case and no SEC filing under the company's name were identified in the sources listed in the complaint-record section, which also notes what was not searched. This page assigns Destro AI no rating or score and makes no finding about the quality of its software or robots.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Destro AI?
Destro AI Inc. sells warehouse-automation software, called MothershipOS and VisionOS, to businesses. The company's September 29, 2026 press release describes MothershipOS as the "shared mind outside the robot body" that decides which robot performs which task, and VisionOS as on-robot intelligence trained from human demonstrations. Its Terms also list robots (humanoids, autonomous mobile robots and autonomous forklifts) among the services it may provide. It is based in Brooklyn, NY, per its Contact page.
Who operates Destro AI and where is it located?
The Terms and Privacy Policy (last updated April 1, 2026) name Destro AI Inc. The Contact page lists HQ at 370 Jay Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201, and the Terms list a mailing address in Jersey City, New Jersey (its street address is not reproduced here). Manthan Pawar is named as Founder and CEO in the company's press releases. This page did not obtain a state registry record, so the state of incorporation is not stated here.
How do I contact Destro AI?
The Contact page lists general email [email protected] and a contact form; it publishes no phone number. The link behind the displayed address on that page is coded as mailto:[email protected], while the Terms print [email protected] as text, so it is worth confirming the recipient before sending sensitive material. The Terms name [email protected] for the "Legal Team," and the Privacy Policy names [email protected] for the "Security Team" and for privacy requests; for data processed on a customer's behalf the policy says the request may be directed to that customer. No separate support, cancellation or complaint page is linked from the site navigation or footer as of 2026-10-01.
Are there reviews or complaints about Destro AI?
In the sources checked on 2026-10-01, none were identified: a BBB search for "Destro AI" returned "No results," ComplaintsBoard returned "No reviews matching “Destro”," no Trustpilot profile for destroai.com was found, and CourtListener's RECAP search for "Destro AI" showed "0 Results." USAComplaints has no approved posts about the company. Searches for state regulator actions, state breach notices and OSHA inspection records were not completed, as the complaint-record section explains.
What do Destro AI's Terms say about fees, renewal and cancellation?
The Terms (last updated April 1, 2026) say fees are set out in "an applicable order form, quote, or Services Agreement," that invoices are due within thirty days, that late amounts may accrue interest at "the lower of 1.5% per month or the maximum rate permitted by law," and that "Except as expressly stated or required by law, payments are non-refundable." Subscription services "automatically renew for successive periods unless either party gives written notice of non-renewal before the end of the then-current term," and "Cancellation and renewal terms in a Services Agreement control over this section." A signed Services Agreement governs over the website Terms where they conflict. Section 22 separately says "You may stop using the Services at any time" and that return, deletion and transition of Customer Data after termination are addressed in any applicable Services Agreement; the Terms do not state in that section whether stopping use ends a subscription term, so the order form or Services Agreement is the document to check.
How are disputes with Destro AI handled under its Terms?
The Terms are governed by New York law. They provide for "final and binding arbitration administered by a recognized arbitration body" conducted in New York, New York (or another agreed location or by videoconference), except for "claims that may be brought in small-claims court and claims for injunctive relief to protect intellectual property or confidential information," and state that disputes will be resolved "only on an individual basis" with a class-action waiver "to the extent permitted by law." A separate Services Agreement may contain different terms.
What does Destro AI's Privacy Policy say about camera and microphone data from robots?
The Privacy Policy (last updated April 1, 2026) says robots carry sensors that can include cameras, microphones and LiDAR, and that recordings "may, in some circumstances, include identifiable individuals in or near the operating environment." It says Destro AI "does not sell personal information for monetary consideration," lists rights to access, delete and correct, and says requests go through the "Contact Us" details ([email protected]), with responses "generally within 45 days, extendable by an additional 45 days," and says that where state law requires it a decision can be appealed by contacting the company. For data processed on a customer's behalf it says it "will direct your request to the relevant customer or assist them in responding." It states the company acts as a service provider when it operates robots on a customer's behalf and as a controller for its own website and systems.
Is Destro AI the same as Destro LLC (destrotechnologies.com)?
The pages read for this profile do not say so. Destro LLC at destrotechnologies.com advertises AI chatbots, calling agents and CRM automation for small and mid-sized businesses and lists an address at 2450 Holcombe Boulevard, Houston, TX 77021; Destro AI Inc. at destroai.com sells warehouse robot-orchestration software from Brooklyn, NY. Destro LLC's site also shows a second Houston address, a London address and template "Lorem ipsum" text on some pages. Neither site, in the pages read on 2026-10-01, states a connection to the other.
Where can a worker or customer report a safety or business-practice concern about a robot deployment?
Under its Terms, a customer is to promptly report incidents, malfunctions or safety concerns to Destro AI ([email protected] is the address listed for legal notices). OSHA's File a Complaint page says workers can file a safety and health complaint "online, by phone or letter," "anonymously," and notes a filing deadline of "less than 6 months" for such complaints and 30 to 180 days for whistleblower (retaliation) complaints, depending on the statute. The FTC's ReportFraud site accepts reports about a company or an unwanted call.
