DaBella contract, cancellation, warranty claims, calls and texts, and where to complain (checked October 6, 2026)
This section sets out what DaBella's own pages and the federal rule text said when opened on October 6, 2026. This site has no archive posts about DaBella that we could tie to the company, so nothing below is drawn from complaints written on this site.
Cancelling a signed contract. The company pages checked on October 6, 2026 (FAQs, Process & What to Expect, Customer Service, Warranty, Terms, Financing) did not state a cancellation procedure or a right-to-cancel period; the signed contract and any notice of cancellation you were handed show the address and instructions to follow, and federal or state law may give rights that exist apart from the contract. The rule itself says a buyer cancels by "mail[ing] or deliver[ing] a signed and dated copy of this Cancellation Notice or any other written notice" to the seller at the address on the notice, not later than the stated midnight deadline. The Federal Trade Commission's Cooling-Off Rule (16 CFR Part 429), as shown on eCFR on October 6, 2026, applies to a "door-to-door sale", defined as a sale of consumer goods or services in which the seller's representative personally solicits the sale and the buyer's agreement is made "at a place other than the place of business of the seller" such as the buyer's residence, with a purchase price of $25 or more if made at the residence. Where it applies, the rule requires the seller to give the buyer a notice of cancellation saying the buyer "may cancel this transaction at any time prior to midnight of the third business day after the date of this transaction", and to tell the buyer orally of that right. The rule excludes some transactions (for example, sales where the consumer has a right of rescission under the Consumer Credit Protection Act, and certain emergency-repair sales); whether it covers your contract depends on where and how it was signed. DaBella's process page says an estimator visits the home, takes measurements and "provide[s] a detailed quote on the spot".
Dispute and warranty channels. DaBella's Customer Service page gives 1-855-322-3552 (8 AM to 7 PM CT, Monday to Friday) and an online form asking for the project state, product, issue type (for example Active Leak, Install Issues, Post Completion Issue) and a description; it says a representative in the United States will reach out. The Warranty page says: "To file a warranty claim, give us a call weekdays at 1-855-322-3552 or fill out our online claim form." It lists, by product, a two-year DaBella workmanship warranty plus the 50-year GAF Golden Pledge for roofing; a one-year DaBella warranty plus a limited lifetime Alside warranty for windows; a one-year DaBella warranty plus a 30-year limited James Hardie warranty for siding; and a one-year DaBella warranty plus a limited lifetime Sentrel warranty for baths, and adds that "coverage varies by product and service." The Warranty page's FAQ says "Every warranty is different" and "Warranties vary by manufacturer and product," so ask for the product-specific written warranty (registration steps, transferability, exclusions) before signing.
Arbitration clause on the website. DaBella's Consumer Privacy, Texting, and Dispute Resolution Policy (last updated August 11, 2025) says claims relating to the website, forms or "any home improvement agreement between me and DaBella and/or its authorized dealers" are subject to individual arbitration at either party's option, with a class-action waiver, administered by Forum (adrforum.com), or JAMS if Forum cannot act; it says a claim may be brought in small-claims court instead and that the clause does not apply to lawsuits or administrative proceedings filed by a state or federal agency. Your signed contract may contain its own dispute terms; read it.
Calls and texts. The policy says opting out of texts requires replying STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE or QUIT, and that other methods (including a verbal request to an employee) are "not a reasonable or valid means of opting out"; email to [email protected] is described as available for support but "not a reasonable or valid method of opting out"; the Terms page separately says consent can be revoked "by calling DaBella at 855-322-3552". The two statements are different, so use more than one method and keep a record. Calls and texts to numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry are the subject of the federal class action described under court cases below, which is an allegation.
Other routes. Licence numbers for 24 states are listed on DaBella's Licenses page, which lets you check a licence with your state's contractor board. BBB accepts complaints through its profile page (see the complaint-record section). Financing is arranged with third-party lenders; DaBella's financing page says DaBella "is neither a broker nor a lender", so questions about a loan go to the lender named in your loan papers. A separate federal right may apply to credit secured by a principal dwelling: Regulation Z, 12 CFR 1026.23, as shown on the CFPB website on October 6, 2026, gives a consumer the right to rescind such a transaction (with listed exceptions) until midnight of the third business day after the latest of consummation, delivery of the material disclosures, or delivery of the rescission notice; the loan documents should say whether it applies.
Washington Labor & Industries workplace-safety citation (December 2025)
This is a worker-safety action, not a consumer-protection action. Washington's Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) news release 26-01 on roofing fall-protection fines says: "DaBella (Vancouver): Cited Dec. 23 for a repeat willful serious violation and fined $134,640 for not protecting its subcontractor's employees from exposure to falls during a roofing job. The company has 15 business days to appeal the citation and fine." The release adds that DaBella is part of L&I's Severe Violators Enforcement Program and that "the DaBella inspection was an SVEP follow-up inspection." The Columbian reported the citation on January 16, 2026. No appeal or later outcome was identified in the sources checked on October 6, 2026, and DaBella's response was not found in the L&I release.
No attorney-general, FTC or contractor-board enforcement action against DaBella was identified in the sources checked on October 6, 2026 (L&I release; federal dockets on CourtListener; web searches). This is a statement about those searches only; state agencies were not each searched individually.
Who operates DaBella, where it is based and what it sells
DaBella's Consumer Privacy, Texting, and Dispute Resolution Policy names the operator as "DaBella Exteriors LLC dba DaBella". The company's About page says Donnie McMillan Jr. founded it in 2011 in Portland, Oregon, and lists its headquarters as Austin, Texas, 69+ locations, 27 states served, three U.S. call centers and 2,200+ employees (all company statements, not independently verified). The Contact page gives Corporate HQ as 400 E Anderson Ln, Austin, TX 78752 (1-512-402-3655) and an Irving, Texas call center. The About page also says: "Damselfly Improvement LLC, Monarch Home Improvement LLC, Karner Home Improvement LLC, Viceroy Improvement LLC, Reve Exteriors LLC & DaBella Exteriors LLC is a D/B/A of DaBella" and that references to those names mean DaBella; the Terms and Financing pages use the name "DaBella LLC" in their financing disclaimers. These are the company's own statements and no registry record was checked for them, so compare the exact entity named in your contract, financing papers, licence and cancellation notice. BBB lists a different address, 3495 NE Aloclek Dr, Hillsboro, OR 97124, as the "Headquarters" of its DaBella profile.
The website offers roofing, siding, windows, baths, walk-in tubs and gutters. The About page names manufacturers it works with (GAF, James Hardie, Alside, Glasswing, Fairfield Windows, Sentrel Bath Systems) and awards it lists (including GAF Master Elite and Angi/HomeAdvisor awards); these are company statements. The Licenses page lists contractor licence numbers for states including Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Massachusetts, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas and Washington; check the number against the state board for your project's state. The Process page says consultations and quotes are free, an estimator visits the home, and financing is optional and provided by third-party lenders.

Court cases involving DaBella Exteriors LLC (federal dockets checked October 6, 2026)
A CourtListener search by case name on October 6, 2026 showed several federal cases naming DaBella Exteriors LLC. The two summarized in the court-cases table are consumer telemarketing (Telephone Consumer Protection Act) class actions; their allegations are the plaintiffs' claims, not findings. Other dockets that came up (for example employment, trademark and individual cases in Oregon, Nevada, Colorado, Washington, New Mexico and Texas) were not reviewed in detail and are not summarized here.
Weingrad v. DaBella Exteriors LLC. The plaintiff alleges unwanted telemarketing texts and calls to a number on the National Do Not Call Registry and seeks class status. On February 23, 2026 the court denied DaBella's partial motion to dismiss and motion to strike class allegations. DaBella then moved (March 3, 2026) to certify that order for interlocutory appeal and to stay discovery; a ruling on that motion was not located in the entries checked. The newest docket entry seen was an order of September 4, 2026 on a joint motion to extend discovery and pretrial deadlines. No class has been certified in the entries checked.
DiCicco v. DaBella Exteriors LLC. A similar Do Not Call class complaint was filed in Massachusetts on November 8, 2025. The newest docket entry seen was a stipulation of dismissal filed by the plaintiff on August 29, 2026.
Is DaBella Legitimate?
DaBella Exteriors LLC dba DaBella operates dabella.us, which publishes licence numbers for 24 states, a physical headquarters address in Austin, Texas, and customer-service and warranty channels. BBB shows an A+ rating and BBB accreditation for its DaBella profile, and the Trustpilot profile is claimed. Against that, Washington L&I cited the company in December 2025 for a workplace-safety violation, a federal Do Not Call class action is pending past a motion to dismiss, and BBB shows 584 complaints in the last three years. These are separate records and this page does not weigh them into a score.
Practical checks before signing, drawn from the sources above: confirm the licence number for your state, read the contract's cancellation notice and dispute clause, and keep copies of what you signed.

How do I cancel a DaBella contract?
The DaBella pages checked on October 6, 2026 did not state a cancellation procedure, so follow the address and instructions on the notice of cancellation you received, bearing in mind that applicable federal and state law may give rights apart from the contract. The FTC rule says a buyer cancels by "mail[ing] or deliver[ing] a signed and dated copy of this Cancellation Notice or any other written notice". Under the FTC Cooling-Off Rule (16 CFR Part 429), a covered door-to-door sale carries a notice that the buyer may cancel "prior to midnight of the third business day after the date of this transaction"; whether it applies depends on where the contract was signed and its terms. Customer service is 1-855-322-3552 (8 AM to 7 PM CT, Monday to Friday).
How do I file a DaBella warranty claim?
DaBella's Warranty page says to call 1-855-322-3552 on weekdays or use its online claim form. It lists a two-year DaBella workmanship warranty and the 50-year GAF Golden Pledge for roofing, and one-year DaBella warranties with manufacturer warranties for windows, siding and baths; it says coverage varies by product and service.
How do I report a problem with a project?
The Customer Service page lists 1-855-322-3552 (8 AM to 7 PM CT, Monday to Friday, closed on major holidays) and a form with issue types such as Active Leak, Install Issues, Post Completion Issue and Post Install Cleanup. Does DaBella require arbitration?
DaBella's Consumer Privacy, Texting, and Dispute Resolution Policy says claims about its website or any home improvement agreement are subject to binding individual arbitration at the option of either party, with a class-action waiver, and allows a small-claims-court alternative. Your own contract may have separate terms.
How do I stop DaBella calls and texts?
DaBella's texting policy says to reply STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE or QUIT to a message, and says other methods are not valid opt-outs; its Terms page says consent may be revoked by calling 855-322-3552. Because the two pages differ, keep a record of every request.

Or., filed March 6, 2025) a Do Not Call class action, the court denied DaBella's partial motion to dismiss on February 23, 2026 and the case was in discovery-schedule proceedings as of September 4, 2026.
