Corelle Brands complaints: returns, warranty claims and who to contact
This page was checked on 2026-10-18. The first step is to identify which company stands behind the product, because the brands on the shelf are not all run from the same website. Corelle, CorningWare and Chicago Cutlery are listed on corelle.com under Corelle Brands, and corelle.com's own warranty page names Corelle Brands LLC. The current Pyrex and Snapware consumer site, pyrexhome.com, is run by a different company (see the background section), and instantpot.com is a separate site (see below).
Returns on corelle.com orders. The Returns & Exchanges page says: 'Return Window: 90 days from purchase' and 'Condition: Unused, original packaging.' It adds that refunds are issued after inspection, that shipping is non-refundable, and that processing time may vary with return volume. On the day we read it the page also said the prepaid UPS return label was 'temporarily unavailable' and gave a mailing address for returns: Consumer Returns, Corelle Brands, Marshall Manufacturing Dist. Center, 190 Norfolk Southern Way, Byhalia, MS 38611. It recommends a carrier with tracking and keeping the receipt until the refund is processed. For items that arrive damaged, it points to its contact form.
Warranty claims. The warranty page links to a warranty request form on the Contact Us page. That form asks for an image of the affected area and of any markings on the product (attachments up to 5MB). The warranty texts say to keep the product because the company may ask for it back, and they say the owner must follow the Safety, Use & Care instructions. Terms differ by line, as quoted on the warranty page: Corelle Vitrelle glass dinnerware, three years from purchase for items that crack, break or chip (the warranty page states: 'It does not cover damage resulting from misuse, negligence, accidental breakage or attempted repair.' and 'PORCELAIN AND STONEWARE MUGS ARE NOT INCLUDED.'); Corelle stoneware, one year for a manufacturing defect; CorningWare French White cookware, one year; CorningWare StoveTop Pyroceram, ten years for glass-ceramic cookware that breaks from hot or cold temperatures; Chicago Cutlery, repair or replacement for the lifetime of the product for defects in material or workmanship. Read the full text for exclusions (misuse, negligence, commercial use, incidental and consequential damages).
Marketing and breakage terms, side by side. corelle.com's About Our Brands page describes Corelle glass as 'backed by our No Chip, No Crack Guarantee.' The Vitrelle warranty on the warranty page excludes 'accidental breakage', and the company's FAQ says, per the company, that the warranty does not cover accidental breakage from impact. The Safety, Use and Care text on the warranty page also says: 'A drop or knock against a hard object may cause immediate breakage or enough damage so that the item breaks later for no apparent reason. Such breakage may make a noise and can break into many small pieces.' We present these company statements together and do not reconcile them.
Two company pages describe the Vitrelle warranty differently. The warranty page says Corelle Brands LLC will replace Vitrelle items that 'crack, break or chip' within three years. The FAQ says Vitrelle is 'covered by a limited three-year warranty against breakage, chipping, and staining under normal household use.' If your claim involves staining or marks, quote both pages in your request.
Breakage and safe use. Corelle's safety page says: 'ALL GLASS, PORCELAIN AND STONEWARE CAN BE BROKEN and care should be taken in handling.' Its listed warnings include not using the dinnerware on a stovetop, under a broiler, in a toaster oven or near other direct heat, avoiding sudden temperature changes, not microwaving an empty vessel, and not using any item that is chipped, cracked or severely scratched. It says Corelle dinnerware can be used in microwaves and pre-heated conventional ovens up to 350 F (176 C). The stoneware instructions add a longer list of appliances not to use it with (for example air fryers, slow cookers and pressure cookers).
Old Corelle and lead questions. The company's FAQ says that before 2000 a small amount of lead was an ingredient in the decorating process, and that testing by an outside laboratory of the vintage designs it selected 'confirms that the vintage products tested comply with current FDA lead-safety regulations.' That is the company's own statement; we did not review the laboratory report or the designs tested.
How to contact the company. corelle.com's Contact Us page lists the email [email protected], a message form (reasons: Order support, Privacy, Warranty support, Product Information, Rewards Program), and a mailing address: Corelle Brands, Attn: Consumer Care, 12000 Molly Pitcher Highway South, Greencastle, PA 17225. No consumer phone number appeared on that page when we read it on 2026-10-18. BBB lists a phone number, (800) 999-3436, which we did not find on corelle.com.
If a product injured someone or you want to report it. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission runs SaferProducts.gov, whose home page invites visitors to 'Report unsafe products.' You can also file a BBB complaint or contact your state attorney general. If you are injured, get medical care first and keep the item and its packaging.
Instant Pot owners. instantpot.com is a separate website whose Terms of Use (updated and effective May 1st, 2025) refer to 'Instant Pot Brands' and give a Legal Department address at 8725 West Higgins Rd, Suite 725, Chicago, IL 60631; its Contact page lists its own support email and phone. Use that site's support channels for an Instant Pot appliance. The two sites show overlapping names (see the background section), but we did not establish who owns what.
Who is Corelle Brands, and what about Pyrex and Instant Pot?
Who this page covers. BBB lists 'Corelle Brands' as a limited liability company with headquarters at 3025 Highland Parkway, Suite 700, Downers Grove, IL 60515, and lists the alternate names Instant Brands LLC and World Kitchen, LLC. The company's corporate site (copyright 2024) lists the same Downers Grove headquarters and says Corelle Brands 'employs over 1,800 employees on three continents'; that is the company's statement. Its Terms of Use (updated and effective January 1st, 2023) say the sites are owned or controlled by 'Corelle Brands Holdings, Inc. and its affiliates, subsidiaries, successors, sub-licensees and assigns.' Corelle's warranty pages name 'Corelle Brands LLC', and one stoneware warranty paragraph and its copyright line still use the older name 'InstantBrands LLC' ('© 2022 InstantBrands LLC').
Brands. corelle.com's About page says Corelle Brands is 'home to iconic, category-leading brands, including Corelle, Corningware, and Chicago Cutlery', and the contact form also offers ZOID and Visions as brand choices. The Corelle FAQ says Corelle was first introduced by Corning over 50 years ago and, 'in 2000 started to be manufactured by the company known today as Instant Brands.' The company's corporate site says Corelle introduced its three-layer glass dinnerware in 1970 and lists, among its locations, a Corning, NY plant for Corelle, a Charleroi, PA plant for Pyrex and a Greencastle, PA distribution center.
Pyrex. Sources read on 2026-10-18 do not agree on who operates Pyrex for U.S. consumers. The corporate site (copyright 2024) says 'CORNINGWARE and PYREX are registered trademarks of Corning Incorporated used under license by Corelle Brands LLC' and lists Pyrex among its brands. corelle.com's current About page does not list Pyrex. The consumer site pyrexhome.com (copyright 2026) shows a Terms of Use owned by '1880 Retail, LLC', a returns policy by the '1880 Retail LLC Consumer Care Center', and a Pyrex warranty that begins: 'Food Services Brand Group promises to replace any Pyrex glass product that breaks from oven heat... within TWO YEARS from the date of purchase.' Its Snapware warranty says Snapware is a registered trademark of Corelle Brands LLC 'used under license to Foodservice Brand Group.' A May 20, 2025 press release on pyrexhome.com from 'Foodservices Brand Group' lists Pyrex and Snapware among its brands. The pyrexhome.com warranty page also contains a Snapware lifetime warranty that reads 'Corelle Brands LLC promises to replace this SNAPWARE plastic lid and vessel', on a site that says Snapware is distributed by Foodservice Brand Group. Corelle Brands' own CorningWare StoveTop warranty page still contains a two-year warranty on 'Pyrex Glass Covers' from Corelle Brands LLC. For a Pyrex item, check the box or the warranty card to see which company is named, and use that company's customer care.
Instant Pot. A 2023 federal court caption names 'INSTANT BRANDS, INC. f/k/a DOUBLE INSIGHT INC., d/b/a INSTANT POT COMPANY' and 'INSTANT BRANDS LLC, d/b/a INSTANT POT COMPANY' as defendants. instantpot.com's Contact Us page (read 2026-10-18) lists 'Phone Support: 800-828-7280', 'Email: [email protected]' and a mailing address for 'Instant Pot Brands, Attn: Consumer Care, 8725 West Higgins Rd, Suite 725, Chicago, IL 60631', and its Terms name 'Instant Pot Brands'. Instant Pot owners should use those channels rather than corelle.com's. Davis Polk, counsel to the company, states on a case page dated March 1, 2024 that Corelle Brands Acquisition Holdings Inc. (f/k/a Instant Brands Acquisition Holdings Inc.) and certain affiliates had chapter 11 proceedings in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas, that the court entered an order approving the plan on February 23, 2024, that 'Corelle Brands emerged from bankruptcy on February 27, 2024', and that the plan contemplated 'the equitization of over $390 million of the prepetition term loan claims into 100% of the new equity interests in the company.' A Haynes Boone press release dated March 19, 2026 says the Fifth Circuit affirmed a ruling in that restructuring about indemnification rights under a master supply agreement and rejected objections by Midea entities; we describe it only as that release does and draw no link to the 2026 product liability filings. We did not open the bankruptcy claims-agent docket, so the case number is not stated here.
Corelle Brands complaint record: BBB, Trustpilot and this site
All counts below are as displayed on 2026-10-18 and are kept in this section; they are consumers' statements on third-party sites and are not summed with each other or with this site's archive.
- BBB (profile for Corelle Brands, Downers Grove, IL, headquarters). Not BBB Accredited. BBB Rating D-; the reason BBB displays is 'Failure to respond to 20 complaint(s) filed against business'. The complaints tab shows '114 total complaints in the last 3 years' and '76 complaints filed in the last 12 months'. The reviews tab shows 1.4 out of 5 stars, 'Average of 10 Customer Reviews'. BBB page data shows the file opened 2009-11-16 and a business start of 1998-01-01. The BBB complaint types shown on the first page of the complaints tab included Delivery Issues, Product Issues, Billing Issues and Sales and Advertising Issues; we did not count them and draw no conclusion from that page. A company reply dated 09/25/2026 shown on the complaints tab (signed by a supervisor at Corelle Brands, per the reply) says: 'At this time, the issue with our pre-paid return label has not been resolved.' This is the company's own statement in its response to a BBB complaint; it also shows the company answers some BBB complaints, alongside BBB's 'Failure to respond to 20 complaint(s)' note. corelle.com's returns page separately states the label is temporarily unavailable.
- Trustpilot (corelle.com). 1.8 'Poor' from 15 reviews. The profile is unclaimed and Trustpilot shows 'No history of asking for reviews' and a note that reviews may not be representative.
Archive complaints on this site. Two approved complaints in this site's archive are linked to this company: a 2006 post about Corelle Ware dishes breaking, and a 2011 post about an order-cancellation dispute with shopworldkitchen.com (World Kitchen, an alternate name BBB lists for the company). Other archive posts that mention Pyrex or Corelle name a retailer or a news outlet as the subject and are not linked. Two archive posts are far too few to show how common any problem is, so this page lists no complaint themes.
Corelle Brands lawsuits, terms and recalls
Court filings. A Justia Dockets party search for 'Corelle Brands' run on 2026-10-18 showed 100 results (the number of results Justia lists; the true total may be higher). Of those 100, Justia's nature-of-suit column labels 94 as personal injury or tort product liability (77 filed in 2026, the most recent on September 28, 2026; 17 filed in 2024, of which 16 are labelled personal injury and one is labelled tort product liability), one as an insurance contract case filed in 2026, and five filed in 2025 under other categories (two civil rights employment, one disability civil rights, one telephone consumer protection, one other statutory). The defendants named in the 2026 captions we read include Corelle Brands LLC, Corelle Brands ULC, Corelle Brands Acquisition Holdings, Inc., Instant Brands, Inc., IB Appliances US Holdings, LLC, several Midea entities, and, in some cases, a retailer (Walmart or Target). The two dockets we opened (a 2024 case in the Western District of Washington and an August 2026 case in the Northern District of Illinois removed from Cook County) list only procedural entries and do not state the product involved, so this page does not describe what the cases concern. Each case is one plaintiff's allegations, and the listing shows no finding of liability. Individual plaintiffs are not named here.
Terms that affect disputes. corelle.com's Terms of Use (updated and effective January 1st, 2023) contain an arbitration agreement and a class action waiver, with a stated right to opt out within 30 days of first purchasing a product by writing to Corelle Brands, Attn: Consumer Care, 12000 Molly Pitcher Highway South, Greencastle, PA 17225. The Terms name the American Arbitration Association in one place and JAMS in another; read the current text before relying on either. Illinois law governs under the Terms.
Product recalls. On 2026-10-18 we queried the CPSC recall database (SaferProducts.gov API) by title, product, manufacturer, importer, distributor and retailer for 'Corelle', 'Pyrex', 'Corelle Brands', 'Instant Brands' and 'Chicago Cutlery'. It returned no recall that names Corelle Brands, Corelle or Instant Brands. A separate query for 'Instant Pot' returned CPSC recall alert 15741 dated July 15, 2015, 'Instant Pot Pressure Cookers Recalled by Double Insight Due to Shock Hazard (Recall Alert)', which lists 'Double Insight Inc., of Canada' as the importer and names neither Corelle Brands nor Instant Brands; the 2023 court caption above lists Double Insight as a former name of an Instant Pot defendant. Historical CPSC entries that did surface under related names: a November 2005 recall titled 'CPSC, World Kitchen Inc. Announce Recall of Immersion Heaters' (World Kitchen Inc., of Reston, Va., is listed as the distributor), and a 2004 recall of CorningWare slow cookers by Select Brands Inc. We did not establish that the firms in those entries are the same legal entity as the Corelle Brands profiled here. We did not search CPSC warnings, Health Canada or the consumer incident reports on SaferProducts.gov.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is Corelle Brands?
BBB lists Corelle Brands as a limited liability company headquartered at 3025 Highland Parkway, Suite 700, Downers Grove, IL 60515, with the alternate names Instant Brands LLC and World Kitchen, LLC (read 2026-10-18). corelle.com's About page lists Corelle, Corningware and Chicago Cutlery as its brands.
How long is the Corelle warranty?
Per the warranty page on corelle.com (read 2026-10-18): three years from purchase for Corelle Vitrelle glass dinnerware that cracks, breaks or chips (accidental breakage is not covered), and one year for Corelle stoneware items with a manufacturing defect. The FAQ describes the Vitrelle warranty as covering breakage, chipping and staining. Keep the product, because the company may ask for it back.
What is the Corelle return window?
corelle.com's Returns & Exchanges page says: 'Return Window: 90 days from purchase' and 'Condition: Unused, original packaging.' Refunds are issued after inspection and shipping is non-refundable. On 2026-10-18 the page said the prepaid UPS return label was temporarily unavailable.
What is the Corelle Brands customer service phone number?
corelle.com's Contact Us page, read 2026-10-18, lists the email [email protected], a message form and a Greencastle, PA mailing address, and shows no consumer phone number. BBB lists (800) 999-3436, and the corporate site lists 800-367-8600 for the Downers Grove headquarters; neither is described on corelle.com as a consumer line.
Why can Corelle dishes break or shatter?
The company's safety page says 'ALL GLASS, PORCELAIN AND STONEWARE CAN BE BROKEN', that a drop or knock 'may cause immediate breakage or enough damage so that the item breaks later', and lists causes to avoid: direct heat sources, sudden temperature changes, microwaving an empty vessel, and using chipped or cracked items. It gives 350 F (176 C) as the preheated-oven limit.
Is vintage Corelle safe to use according to the company?
The company's FAQ says that before 2000 a small amount of lead was an ingredient in the decorating process, and that outside-laboratory testing of the vintage designs it selected 'confirms that the vintage products tested comply with current FDA lead-safety regulations.' This is the company's statement; per its FAQ, the company selected 'multiple patterns of vintage Corelle products, dating back to 1978' for testing, a quote that uses the company's own term, and was 'food surface contact testing', so the tested designs are those the company selected, not every design; we did not review the test report.
Who handles Pyrex warranty and returns?
The Pyrex consumer site pyrexhome.com (copyright 2026) names 'Food Services Brand Group' in its Pyrex warranty and '1880 Retail LLC' in its returns policy and Terms, not Corelle Brands. Corelle Brands' 2024 corporate site and its CorningWare StoveTop warranty page still mention Pyrex. Check the company named on your product's packaging or warranty card.

These are BBB's figures for the Downers Grove headquarters profile.
What does Trustpilot show for Corelle?
Trustpilot displayed 1.8 ('Poor') from 15 reviews for corelle.com on 2026-10-18, with an unclaimed profile and a note that the company has no history of asking customers for reviews, so the reviews may not be representative.
Are there lawsuits against Corelle Brands?
A Justia Dockets search for 'Corelle Brands' on 2026-10-18 listed 100 federal cases, most of them labelled personal injury product liability and filed in 2026, naming entities such as Corelle Brands LLC and Corelle Brands Acquisition Holdings, Inc. The dockets we opened did not state the product involved. They are plaintiffs' allegations, and no outcomes were listed.
