Complaint record: BBB and Trustpilot
BBB. The BBB profile for Cooluli, Brooklyn, NY shows an A+ rating and says the business is not BBB Accredited, with 0 complaints in the last 3 years and 3 customer reviews. A BBB rating is BBB's opinion of how a business is likely to interact with customers, based on factors such as complaint history, time in business and transparency; customer reviews are not used in the grade. A complaint can be filed on the profile page.
Trustpilot. The cooluli.com page is unclaimed and shows 2.8 out of 5 from 3 reviews, 1 of them in the last 12 months, with no company replies visible. Trustpilot says the company has not invited customers to review, so the reviews may not be representative. Two reviews from August 2025, at 1 and 2 stars, describe a fridge that kept switching off, emails that went unanswered and then bounced, and the buyer paying return shipping on a heavy unit. A 1-star review posted August 19, 2026, six days after the recall announcement, says a submitted recall form had not been answered and that a replacement cord is not enough. Cooluli's form says its team reviews each submission and then makes contact about the kit.
No published complaint reports are currently linked to this profile. The CPSC fire and overheating reports are covered in the recall section and are separate from these figures.

Submit a ComplaintWhat to do: check your mini fridge against the recall, then returns and warranty
Step 1: find your batch number. The CPSC notice says the model and batch numbers are on a label inside the door; Cooluli's Contact page says the number can also be underneath the unit.
More detailShow less
The recall covers 10-Liter and 15-Liter Cooluli minifridges with an internal power supply, sold in the Infinity, Classic, Glow Beauty and Vibe Series, with batch numbers 1535 through 1545 and 1200000 through 1202080. A recalled unit has two power inputs (AC and DC) on the back instead of a single DC port, and its removable cord has no brick adapter. Cooluli's own recall page says units with an external power supply are not included and that model numbers must contain "10L" or "15L".
Step 2: stop using a matching unit. The CPSC says consumers should stop using the recalled minifridges immediately and contact Cooluli for a free replacement power cord. Cooluli's page says to stop using the refrigerator until the repair is complete.
Step 3: file the recall form. The recall form is at form.typeform.com/to/JtBuxBdf and is linked from cooluli.com/pages/product-notices-recalls. It is separate from the warranty registration form on the Contact page, which does not file a recall claim.
- Enter your contact details and shipping address.
- Enter the batch number, model number and retailer order ID or proof of purchase code. If the model starts with K, enter the model in capital letters instead of the batch number. If the batch starts with PO, enter the numbers only. If the batch contains a dash, enter only the numbers before the dash.
- The form then says whether the unit is eligible. If it says the unit is not affected and you think that is wrong, it directs you to [email protected].
- If the unit is eligible, unplug it, cut the power cord, and upload a photo of the cut cord and a photo of the model and batch label. A cut cord leaves the fridge unusable until the kit arrives.
- Finish every step and wait for the confirmation message; the form says your submission is not received until you see it. Cooluli's team then reviews the photos and contacts you about shipping the free repair kit.
The CPSC describes the kit as a replacement DC power cord and a permanent sticker to cover the AC port. It lists the remedy as "Replace" and does not mention a refund.

The CPSC says these units were sold through October 2024, which puts them outside Cooluli's 45-day return window and one-year warranty if bought in that period. Recall contacts listed by the CPSC: (718) 834-5312 (8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern, Monday through Friday) and [email protected].
If a unit has already caused a fire or damage. Photograph the unit and the damage and get legal advice before cutting the cord, tell your home insurer, and report the incident at SaferProducts.gov.
If Cooluli does not respond. The CPSC has a Recall Complaint form at cpsc.gov/form/recall-complaint-form, for use after you have contacted Cooluli about the remedy.
How to cancel an order. To stop an order, call (718) 834-5312 or email [email protected] at once; orders are processed within two business days, and Cooluli's published policies set out no separate cancellation procedure. After delivery, the return rule on this page applies; the page describes the money back as a credit of the purchase amount.
Returns. Returns or exchanges: items "in new and unused condition" within 45 days of purchase, with original packaging and all components; missing components or damaged packaging "may be subject to a 15% restocking fee".
More detailShow less
The customer pays return shipping: either ship the item yourself by UPS, USPS or FedEx and receive credit for 100% of the purchase price, or use a prepaid label from Cooluli and have its cost deducted from the credit.
Warranty. One year from purchase for manufacturer defects or workmanship, handled as a free replacement.
More detailShow less
Exclusions listed include products Cooluli determines, at its sole discretion, have no material or workmanship defect, along with misuse, alteration, excessive wear and purchases from secondhand or unauthorized sellers. Claims go through the chat widget on the site or [email protected]. The warranty page does not mention registration, but the Contact page says registering a product activates the warranty, so register to be safe and keep your receipt; that form asks for the model, batch number, store, purchase date and order number.
Shipping. Free standard shipping within the continental U.S., orders processed within two business days, no expedited option; report missing items or shipments within 20 days of the ship date. Missing parts are sent after proof of purchase is checked.
If customer service does not resolve an order problem. For goods not delivered as agreed, a credit card billing dispute must reach the card issuer within 60 days after the first bill with the error was sent, under the FTC's guidance.

CPSC recall 26-685 (August 13, 2026): 10-Liter and 15-Liter minifridges
Notice. On August 13, 2026 the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall "Cooluli Recalls 10-Liter and 15-Liter Minifridges Due to Fire and Burn Hazards" (recall number 26-685), covering about 250,000 units.
More on regulatorsShow less
Hazard (CPSC): "The recalled minifridges' electrical switch can short circuit, posing fire and burn hazards." Cooluli's own recall page describes the hazard as the Cooling/Warming selector switch overheating.
Incidents (CPSC): Cooluli received at least 19 reports of the minifridges smoking, sparking, burning, melting, overheating or catching fire, including more than $80,000 in property damage and one smoke inhalation injury.
Companies named by the CPSC: importer Lisse USA LLC of Brooklyn, New York; manufacturer Ningbo Iceberg Electronic Appliance Co., Ltd. of China; the units were manufactured in China. The notice says they were sold at Amazon.com and Cooluli.com from January 2019 through October 2024 for between $80 and $120.
Cooluli's statement. Cooluli's recall page calls this a voluntary safety recall and says MM Products found the issue while reviewing the older products it inherited. It says the issue is limited to specific older production batches of 10L and 15L refrigerators with an internal power supply, and that current Cooluli refrigerators with an external power supply are not part of the recall.
This is a voluntary product recall, not a lawsuit, a court case or a finding of liability; the CPSC notice and Cooluli's recall page mention no lawsuit or class action. Cooluli's safety page also lists general precautions for all units: keep ventilation openings clear, leave at least 2 inches of space behind the unit, and if there is smoke or a burning smell, unplug it at once, do not try to repair it, and contact Customer Support. On units with a Cooling/Warming selector switch, Cooluli advises turning the switch to OFF before plugging in and leaving it at OFF for at least one second when changing between cooling and warming.

UniCourt's docket listing classes this as a personal property tort case, with the complaint filed with a jury demand. It was filed four years before recall 26-685, and the CPSC notice does not mention it.
Who Cooluli is
Cooluli sells portable mini fridges and cooler/warmers on cooluli.com and through retailers; the product registration form on its Contact page lists Amazon, Best Buy, eBay, Home Depot, Kroger, Lowe's, Macy's, Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, Walmart.com and Wayfair as places of purchase. Its site describes the line as thermoelectric, without compressors or refrigerants, but its product page for the 1.7 cu ft Curve fridge lists R600a refrigerant, and Best Buy sells that model as a compressor fridge. The website's Terms of Service ("Edited as of November 20, 2023") say the site is operated by Cooluli USA, 1449 37th Street, Suite 213, Brooklyn, New York. The Terms print ZIP 11233; the BBB and business directories use 11218 for that building. Cooluli's About page dates the brand to 2016 in Brooklyn, and the BBB lists the business as started on March 16, 2016. Its FAQ says the products are manufactured in China.
Ownership. In an announcement dated April 25, 2025, MM Products Inc., the Brooklyn company behind the JoyJolt glassware and kitchenware brand, said it had acquired Cooluli from Lisse Inc.; no price was given, and the announcement names Martin Mittelman as CEO of MM Products. MM Products now owns the brand; Cooluli's About page names no founder or chief executive of its own. MM Products said customers would see no changes to product availability, warranties or customer support during the transition. Cooluli's own recall page says MM Products took over the brand from Lisse USA, the company the CPSC names as importer of the recalled models; those models were sold from January 2019 through October 2024, before the sale. The announcement says Lisse Inc. and the recall page says Lisse USA; neither explains how the two names relate.

Website terms. The Terms of Service make New York law the governing law. They say a dispute "arising out of or concerning these Terms and Conditions" goes to final and binding arbitration through the American Arbitration Association or a similar service the parties select, and a section headed Class Action Waiver says class arbitrations and class, representative or collective actions are not permitted. These are the terms of the cooluli.com website; whether they reach a purchase made at another retailer, or an injury or fire claim, is a question for a lawyer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Cooluli mini fridges are recalled?
The CPSC recall 26-685 covers 10-Liter and 15-Liter Cooluli minifridges with an internal power supply and two power inputs (AC and DC) on the back, in the Infinity, Classic, Glow Beauty and Vibe Series, with batch numbers 1535 through 1545 and 1200000 through 1202080. The cord has no brick adapter. The model and batch numbers are on a label inside the door, and Cooluli's Contact page says the number can also be underneath the unit. On the recall form, enter only the numbers of a batch starting with PO, only the numbers before a dash, and the model in capitals instead of the batch if the model starts with K. Cooluli's recall page says units with an external power supply are not included.
What hazard does the Cooluli recall describe?
The CPSC says the electrical switch can short circuit, posing fire and burn hazards, and that Cooluli received at least 19 reports of smoking, sparking, burning, melting, overheating or fires, with more than $80,000 in property damage and one smoke inhalation injury.
How do I get the Cooluli recall remedy?
Stop using the unit and open the recall form at form.typeform.com/to/JtBuxBdf. Enter your contact and shipping details, batch number, model number and order ID. If the form says the unit is eligible, unplug it, cut the power cord, upload a photo of the cut cord and a photo of the model and batch label, and wait for the confirmation message. Cooluli then reviews the submission and contacts you about shipping the free kit, which the CPSC describes as a replacement DC power cord and a permanent sticker to cover the AC port. Questions go to (718) 834-5312 or [email protected]. If the unit has already caused a fire or damage, photograph it and get legal advice before cutting the cord.
Does the Cooluli recall offer a refund?
The CPSC notice lists the remedy as "Replace": a replacement power cord and a sticker. It does not mention a refund. The CPSC says these units were sold through October 2024, which puts them outside Cooluli's 45-day return window and one-year warranty if bought in that period. Owners who bought on Amazon.com also go through Cooluli for the remedy, since the CPSC directs consumers to contact Cooluli.
What is Cooluli's return policy?
Cooluli's returns page says items can be returned or exchanged "within 45 days of purchase" in new and unused condition with original packaging and all components; missing components or damaged packaging "may be subject to a 15% restocking fee". The customer pays return shipping: ship it yourself and receive credit for 100% of the purchase price, or use Cooluli's prepaid label and have its cost deducted. Start a return through the chat widget on cooluli.com or at [email protected].
What does the Cooluli warranty cover?
Cooluli's page describes a one-year warranty from the purchase date for manufacturer defects or workmanship, resolved by free replacement. Exclusions listed include products Cooluli determines, at its sole discretion, have no material or workmanship defect, along with misuse, alteration, excessive wear, improper care or storage, and purchases from secondhand or unauthorized sellers. The warranty page does not mention registration, but the Contact page says registering activates the one-year warranty, so register to be safe.
How do I contact Cooluli?
For orders, returns and warranty claims, use the chat widget on cooluli.com, [email protected] or (718) 834-5312. For the recall, use the form linked from cooluli.com/pages/product-notices-recalls, [email protected] or the same phone number.
Who is Lisse USA LLC?
The CPSC names Lisse USA LLC of Brooklyn, New York as the importer of the recalled minifridges, which were sold from January 2019 through October 2024. Cooluli's recall page says MM Products, the owner of JoyJolt, took over the Cooluli brand from Lisse USA. MM Products' April 2025 announcement names the seller as Lisse Inc.; neither document explains how the two names relate. Recall claims go to Cooluli, not to Lisse USA.
Where can I report a problem with a Cooluli product or recall?
The CPSC has a Recall Complaint form (cpsc.gov/form/recall-complaint-form) for problems with a recall and SaferProducts.gov for reporting product incidents. You can also contact Cooluli directly at (718) 834-5312 or [email protected].
Is Cooluli a scam?
Cooluli is a Brooklyn mini fridge brand dating to 2016 that sells on cooluli.com and through retailers including Amazon and Best Buy, and MM Products Inc., the owner of JoyJolt, announced its purchase in April 2025. The CPSC announced recall 26-685 of about 250,000 older 10-liter and 15-liter units in August 2026 over fire and burn hazards. The BBB shows an A+ rating, no accreditation and 0 complaints in the last 3 years. Trustpilot shows 2.8 out of 5 from 3 reviews on an unclaimed page, and says they may not be representative. An August 2025 reviewer used the word scam about a fridge that kept switching off and emails that went unanswered and then bounced; another that month objected to buyer-paid return shipping, and a review posted six days after the August 2026 recall announcement says a submitted recall form had not been answered. A buyer can compare Cooluli's 45-day return and one-year warranty terms before ordering, and owners of older 10-liter and 15-liter units can check their batch on the recall form.
Is Cooluli legit?
The website names its operator as Cooluli USA, 1449 37th Street, Suite 213, Brooklyn, with the phone number (718) 834-5312, and MM Products Inc. announced that it bought the brand from Lisse Inc. in April 2025. The record a buyer can check includes a BBB profile (A+, not accredited, 0 complaints in the last 3 years), a Trustpilot page with 2.8 out of 5 from only 3 reviews, and CPSC recall 26-685 on older 10-liter and 15-liter units. Two August 2025 Trustpilot reviews report trouble reaching support by email and a unit that kept switching off. Purchases from secondhand or unauthorized sellers fall outside Cooluli's one-year warranty, and the warranty page does not define an authorized seller, so buy from cooluli.com or a retailer named on its product registration form, such as Amazon, Best Buy or Walmart.com, and keep proof of purchase.
What is the Cooluli customer service phone number and email address?
The Cooluli customer service phone number is (718) 834-5312, with live agents Monday through Friday, 8am to 8pm Eastern, according to its Contact page; the CPSC lists the same number for recall questions, 8am to 5pm Eastern. The customer service email address is [email protected], and recall questions go to [email protected]. The site also has a chat widget at the bottom right of the page.
Who owns Cooluli, and who is the CEO?
MM Products Inc., the Brooklyn owner of JoyJolt, announced on April 25, 2025 that it had acquired Cooluli from Lisse Inc. The announcement names Martin Mittelman as CEO of MM Products. Cooluli's About page names no founder or chief executive of its own, and the website's Terms still name Cooluli USA as operator.
Where is the Cooluli corporate office?
Cooluli does not name a corporate office. Its Terms and Privacy Policy give 1449 37th Street, Suite 213, Brooklyn, New York, with ZIP 11233; the BBB lists the same address with ZIP 11218, the ZIP business directories use for that building. The Contact page lists no mailing address. Returns and warranty claims start through the chat widget or [email protected], not by mailing that address.
How do I cancel a Cooluli order or get a refund?
To stop an order, call (718) 834-5312 or email [email protected] at once; orders are processed within two business days, and Cooluli's published policies set out no separate cancellation procedure. After delivery, an item in new and unused condition can come back within 45 days of purchase; Cooluli credits 100% of the purchase amount if you pay return shipping yourself, or deducts the cost of its prepaid label. Missing components or damaged packaging may bring a 15% restocking fee. The CPSC lists the recall remedy as a replacement cord and sticker and does not mention a refund.
Is there a Cooluli lawsuit or class action?
UniCourt's docket listing shows a federal lawsuit naming Cooluli: Westfield Insurance Company v. Cooluli, No. 1:22-cv-00327, filed June 7, 2022 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and classed as a personal property tort. It predates the recall by four years, and the CourtListener docket shows a notice of voluntary dismissal and the case closed on October 5, 2022. CPSC recall 26-685 is a voluntary safety recall, not a lawsuit or a finding of liability, and neither the CPSC notice nor Cooluli's recall page mentions a lawsuit or class action. Some law firms, including Johnson//Becker, advertise that they are accepting injury cases over these minifridges, which is not the same as a filed case. Cooluli's website Terms send disputes "arising out of or concerning" those Terms to binding arbitration and say class actions are not permitted; whether they reach a purchase at another retailer or an injury claim is a question for a lawyer. Owners with property damage or an injury should keep photos and proof of purchase, take legal advice before cutting the cord on a damaged unit, and report the incident at SaferProducts.gov.
What do Cooluli reviews and complaints show?
The BBB lists 3 customer reviews and 0 complaints in the last 3 years. Trustpilot shows 2.8 out of 5 from 3 reviews, two at 1 star and one at 2 stars. Two from August 2025 concern support email, a unit that switched off and return shipping costs; one posted six days after the August 2026 recall announcement says a submitted recall form had not been answered. Separately, the CPSC says Cooluli received at least 19 reports of its recalled minifridges smoking, sparking, burning, melting, overheating or catching fire.
