Bumble complaint record: BBB and Trustpilot as displayed

All figures were read on 2026-10-20 and are shown as displayed; they are not added together or averaged.

  • BBB (profile for Bumble, Austin, TX; not BBB Accredited): BBB Rating F. BBB's stated reasons for the rating: "Failure to respond to 624 complaint(s) filed against business" and "Business has failed to resolve underlying cause(s) of a pattern of complaints" (BBB's wording). The profile also shows "This business has 1 alert" titled "Pattern of Complaints"; BBB's alert text says its files indicate consumers allege account bans, billing disputes and refund denials, and "unauthorized or recurring charges after cancellation," and that BBB notified the business and requested a response. This is BBB's characterization of consumer allegations, not a finding by us or a court. The complaints tab shows 672 complaints in the last 3 years and 215 in the last 12 months. The reviews tab shows an average rating of 1.02/5 from 62 customer reviews; BBB notes that customer reviews are not used in the letter grade. Trustpilot displays a notice that the company has not invited customers recently, so reviews may not be representative, and that it has not replied to negative reviews. Trustpilot does not fact-check reviews.

  • Cancellation (Terms, Section 6). The Terms say: "YOUR SUBSCRIPTION WILL RENEW AT THE END OF THE PERIOD, UNLESS YOU CANCEL." They also say: "Deleting your account or deleting the application from your device does not cancel your subscription."
    More detailShow less

For a subscription bought through a Third Party Store (the Terms name the Apple App Store and Google Play Store), the Terms say "you will need to access your account with that Third Party Store" to change or cancel it.

  • Refunds (Terms, Section 6). The Terms say: "Generally, all charges for purchases are nonrefundable, and there are no refunds or credits for partially used periods." For purchases made through Apple or Google, the stores handle refunds. The Terms add exceptions. For subscribers residing in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island and Wisconsin, they say the buyer may cancel "WITHOUT PENALTY OR OBLIGATION, AT ANY TIME PRIOR TO MIDNIGHT OF THE THIRD BUSINESS DAY FOLLOWING THE DATE YOU SUBSCRIBED (EXCLUDING SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS)." For subscribers residing outside the U.S., the Terms give a refund (minus the value of any portion used) if requested within "the first 6 days after the subscription starts" for weekly subscriptions and "the first 14 days after the subscription starts" for monthly or longer ones; "There are no refunds for subscription renewals," and "In addition to cancelling, eligible subscribers must request a refund to receive one."
  • Disputes (Terms, Section 15). The Terms say the Arbitration Agreement "requires you and Bumble Group to resolve disputes by binding arbitration instead of in court," with an exception for individual small claims court cases, and that claims "MUST BE ARBITRATED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT ON A CLASS OR COLLECTIVE BASIS." The Terms allow opting out in writing "within 31 days after first becoming subject to this Arbitration Agreement"; read Section 15 for the method.
  • Notice address. The Terms give "Bumble, Attn.: Cancellations, P.O. Box 300940, Austin, Texas, 78703" for cancellation and refund notices.
  • Keep screenshots of the charge, the subscription screen, the date you cancelled and any support replies. If a charge went through Apple or Google, dispute it there first; if you paid by card, you can also ask the card issuer about the charge.
  • You can file a complaint with the BBB (profile listed on this page), the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov, or your state attorney general. These are routes, not endorsements of any claim.
