Blueland's Terms of Service name One Home Brands, Inc. (dba Blueland) as the operator of blueland.com, with legal notices to an address in New York, NY. BBB lists a profile for Blueland in New York, not accredited, rated B-, and Trustpilot shows 4.2 from 838 reviews (both as displayed on 2026-10-20; see the complaint-record section). Dispute terms. The Terms open with a notice that they contain 'a binding arbitration agreement with a class action waiver and jury trial waiver.' Section 11 requires a written notice of dispute sent to [email protected] or to the New York address, followed by a 60-day period of good-faith negotiation; unresolved disputes go to binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's Commercial Arbitration Rules, with AAA fees paid under its Consumer Arbitration rules, and the Terms say that if a dispute proceeds in court the parties waive jury trial. The Terms also describe a batch-arbitration procedure for 25 or more substantially similar notices filed within 180 days.

Subscription terms. The Terms of Service do not contain Autoship renewal terms; those appear in the Help Center articles quoted in the first section (renewal every 3 months, cancellation free of charge). Where the Terms and the Help Center cover different topics, both are cited by URL.

Complaint record: BBB and Trustpilot

BBB (profile 'Blueland', alternate name One Home Brands, Inc., New York, NY), as displayed on 2026-10-20: not BBB accredited; BBB Rating B-. The reasons BBB lists for the rating are '53 complaint(s) filed against business' and the length of time the business has taken to respond to complaints. The complaints tab shows 53 complaints in the last 3 years and 12 in the last 12 months. The first ten complaints displayed were typed Product Issues (5), Service or Repair Issues (3), Billing Issues (1) and Delivery Issues (1), with statuses Resolved or Answered; the first one shown was dated 07/31/2026. Excerpts include complainants saying an order had not arrived, that dishwasher tablets left residue, and that an order was followed by an unexpected subscription charge. These are consumers' statements, not findings, and BBB notes that the displayed text may not represent all complaints. The reviews tab shows 4.23 out of 5 stars, an average of 26 customer reviews. BBB's page data gives a file-opened date of 2020-04-09.

Trustpilot (blueland.com), as displayed on 2026-10-20: 4.2 from 838 reviews. The profile is shown as claimed since Oct 2021; Trustpilot states that it does not fact-check reviews, and several of the reviews shown carry a 'Company replied' label. Trustpilot also shows an AI-generated review summary, which we do not repeat.

The two sources are shown separately and are not added together or averaged. They measure different things (BBB shows complaints filed with BBB; Trustpilot shows star reviews). This site has no archive complaints about Blueland (0 approved posts) as of 2026-10-20.

Blueland complaints: Autoship, returns and refunds

This page was checked on 2026-10-20 against Blueland's own Terms of Service, Returns page and Help Center, BBB, Trustpilot, BBB National Programs and federal court dockets. Steps on this page are paraphrased or quoted from Blueland's pages; BBB and Trustpilot figures are in the complaint-record section.

  • Autoship is optional. The Help Center says: 'No, autoship is not required! All of our products are available as one-time options; just be sure to click ‘Buy One Time’ when adding items to your cart!' The article 'I'm interested in autoship deliveries' (help.blueland.com, article 253800) also says an autoship 'renews automatically every 3 months,' that a reminder email is sent 3 days before a refill order is processed, and that changes can be made until 12 PM EST the day before the scheduled shipment.
  • Cancel or change Autoship. The Help Center says to log into your account on the website and select 'Autoship', where you can Order Now, skip or manage items. On cancelling it says: 'you can cancel your autoship subscription free of charge' and that, if you have multiple items in the Autoship portal, you will need to cancel each one.
    More detailShow less

It also says: 'We may be able to make changes for a short window after your order is placed,' and that once an order starts moving through the fulfillment center, items can no longer be removed, added or swapped.

  • Credits and gift cards. The same article says: 'At this time you cannot apply a gift card to your autoship refill purchases,' and that Autoship subscription credits stay active for 1 year after they are issued as long as at least one subscription is active; once all subscriptions are inactive there are 7 days to reactivate The cancel and change steps shown in the portal are not reproduced here.
  • Unexpected charge. Article 253800 says the card is charged on the day the Autoship order is scheduled to process, and that the next date is shown in your account under 'Autoship'; the article 'I'm a current autoship subscriber' (253797) says refill orders are processed on the day of the month that the subscription began. A complainant on BBB describes a one-time order followed by what they call an unexpected subscription (a consumer's statement, not a finding). Check the order confirmation email and your account's Autoship tab, then use the Help Center form with the subject 'Autoship Deliveries' or 'Refund Request'.
  • Returns and refunds (U.S. orders). The Returns & Exchanges page says free returns on domestic (USA) orders are offered 'within a 100 day window after they're shipped,' requested at returns.blueland.com; returns must be shipped within 15 days after return label instructions are issued; all components must be returned; after inspection the credit is applied to the original payment method 'within 5-7 business days.' It says donations to non-profit partners and original shipping fees are not refunded and that 'all sample packs are final sale.'
  • Exchanges and replacements. The page says there are no direct exchanges, but at return you can choose Store Credit, which generates a gift card code. It offers free replacements of Hand Soap Pumps and Cleaning Spray Nozzles within 100 days of purchase, requested through 'Contact Us' on the homepage.
  • Orders outside the U.S. The Returns page says returns, exchanges and replacements are offered only for domestic orders and that, for orders to Canada, New Zealand, Australia or the UK, you can message the company through 'Contact Us' to see what it can do.
  • Order not received. The Help Center has Track order and Return order links and a contact form with subject 'My Order'. If the company does not resolve it, you can file with BBB, the FTC (reportfraud.ftc.gov) or your state attorney general, and your card issuer has its own dispute process.

Advertising self-regulation decisions (NAD)

BBB National Programs' National Advertising Division (NAD) is an industry self-regulatory body, not a government agency. Two NAD decision summaries name One Home Brands, Inc. d/b/a Blueland. In both, the challenger was a competitor.

More on regulatorsShow less

NAD Case #6416 (release dated October 2020). The challenger was The Clorox Company. NAD found a reasonable basis for claims that Blueland's tablet wrappers are biodegradable and compostable, and that the term 'forever' for its bottles was not misleading and its Forever bottles are shatterproof. It recommended discontinuing the claim that every piece of packaging is '100% recyclable' and unqualified recyclability claims for the Forever bottles, and modifying or discontinuing other environmental claims (for example 'better for your home and our planet' and 'bad for germs, good for earth'). It found the evidence did not support comparative cleaning-performance claims and recommended discontinuing them, along with certain comparative safety claims. Blueland told NAD it had permanently discontinued advertising implying its surface cleaners are disinfectants, and stated it 'will comply with NAD’s recommendations.'

NAD Case #7521 (release dated November 25, 2025). The challenger was The Procter & Gamble Company, through NAD's Fast-Track SWIFT process, concerning influencer and social media advertising. NAD determined that, for creators who received free product and whose only other relationship to Blueland was the TikTok Shop affiliate program, TikTok's automated 'creator earns commission' disclosure was sufficient. Blueland stated that posts from four creators who may have received additional compensation would be modified or discontinued and that it would work with other creators to revise challenged posts; NAD did not review those claims on the merits and treats them, for compliance purposes, as though it had recommended modification or discontinuance.

Searches on 2026-10-20 of the CPSC recall API (titles and manufacturer names 'Blueland' and 'One Home Brands') returned no records; that search does not cover CPSC warnings or the company's own safety notices.
