Returns, refunds, support and authenticity: what Biodance's own pages say
Biodance's own pages and Help Center, opened on October 5, 2026, set out the routes below. Where two Biodance pages differ, both are shown. None of the pages opened for this profile lists a customer-service phone number; they list an email address, a Help Center request form and a website chatbot.
Check the seller before you open the masks. Biodance's Refund Policy says: "If you purchased our products from a third-party retailer, please contact the retailer or store directly for return assistance." Biodance's own return process described below applies only to orders placed on biodance.com; for Amazon, Sephora, Costco, TikTok Shop, iHerb or any other seller, that seller's return window and rules apply, so note the seller name and the return deadline on your order before opening the product.
Who you buy from. Biodance is a South Korean brand. On biodance.com the Terms of Service call the store "the cybermall operated by Beauty Selection" and say the Terms are "governed by the laws of South Korea"; for disputes they say Beauty Selection "will prioritize resolving the issue" and that disputes "may be referred to the Fair Trade Commission or a Dispute Conciliation Services Organization". The Refund Policy says Biodance "only accepts returns for items purchased through www.biodance.com" and that buyers from a third-party retailer should contact that retailer or store.
Returns, as the Refund Policy page states them (the page shows no date):
- 30 days after receiving the item to request a return.
- Change of mind: the buyer pays return shipping, and a refund is processed only if the item is "unworn, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging", with photos of its condition and a receipt or proof of purchase.
- Damaged or wrong item: Biodance says it will cover return shipping and offer a refund or replacement, with photos as proof.
- Not accepted: "Partially used products" and "Products reported lost or stolen during shipment".
- To start: email [email protected]. If the request is accepted Biodance sends a return label and says not to send items without approval; the return address given is Advanced Warehouse Inc (LAX), 2666 E Del Amo Blvd, Compton, CA 90221.
- Exchanges: return the item, then place a separate order. Refund timing: to the original payment method "within 10 business days" after Biodance receives and inspects the return; if nothing arrives after 15 business days, email again.
Returns, as the Help Center states them. The article "What is return policy?" (updated July 11, 2026) says a return may be requested within 30 days of receiving the order "as long as the product is unopened, in its original condition, and any stickers or labels remain intact", with a receipt or proof of purchase. It adds that for a change-of-mind return where the original order was below the free-shipping threshold, an initial shipping fee of $6.95 is charged (its "Who pays for return shipping?" article says the refund is processed minus this fee) and that for an order that qualified for free shipping "the refunded product amount will have the shipping fee deducted". The article "How are refunds processed?" (updated October 3, 2026) says that once the package is shipped back the refund is processed "within 10 business days from the date of shipment"; the Refund Policy page counts the 10 business days from receipt and inspection. The two pages also describe the product condition differently (unopened versus unworn and unused, with tags). Biodance has not reconciled them on the pages opened.
Other biodance.com pages with different wording. The store's sitemap also lists generic pages at biodance.com/pages/contact and biodance.com/pages/faq (they were not linked from the home page HTML fetched). The contact page says a full refund is available "when the product has not been opened and is unused", a partial refund "when the packaging can not be accounted for" and that customers pay shipping; the FAQ page says refund requests can be made "within a month", that Biodance ships "all over the globe" and that cards from Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted. The Help Center says Biodance ships only to the 50 U.S. states and lists PayPal as the payment method. If the pages conflict for your order, ask Biodance in writing which wording applies and keep dated screenshots of the pages.
Shipping and cancelling. The Help Center says U.S. shipping is $6.95, free when the cart total exceeds $50, with standard shipping only and delivery typically 3-5 business days. It says an order can be cancelled only if it has not shipped, and that the shipping address cannot be changed after the order is placed. For a delayed, lost or damaged shipment it points to the "Submit a request" page.
Authenticity and where to buy. The Help Center says: "If you purchased from us, you can be assured that the product is 100% genuine!" and that for a detailed check you can send the order number and photos through the request page. It also says that if the purchase was not made through www.biodance.com "or the official platforms listed in our Instagram bio", Biodance "cannot verify the authenticity of the product". The link in the Instagram bio (linktr.ee/biodance_official_global, opened on October 5, 2026) lists under "Official" for the U.S.: Amazon US (marked "Ship worldwide"), the Biodance Official Brand Store, Sephora, TikTok Shop, Costco and iHerb, and for all regions Olive Young Global. Under "Authorized" it lists Style Korean, YesStyle and Stylevana (marked for all regions) and, for the U.S., Sokoglam, Song of Skin and Senti Senti (online and offline). It also lists official and authorized stores in other countries, which this page does not repeat. Biodance's Bio Collagen mask FAQ page names Sephora, Amazon US and biodance.com in one place and Sephora, Amazon, Costco and biodance.com in another, and its Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask reference page lists "USA: Sephora, Amazon US, Costco" next to biodance.com. That reference page also says the product is "widely counterfeited on secondary marketplaces" and that a genuine unit has a holographic batch sticker on the outer carton, an English/Korean back label naming "Beauty Selection Co., Ltd." as the manufacturer, a mask weight of 34 g per sheet with 4 sheets per box, and intact foil pouches. These are Biodance's own statements; we have not inspected any product. Domains with similar names exist, for example biodancecom.com, which is not among the platforms Biodance lists; we have not identified who operates it.
Contacting Biodance. Email [email protected] (the footer gives Monday to Sunday, 10am to 6pm Korea Standard Time), the Help Center request form at contact.biodance.com (fields: email, type of inquiry, order ID, subject, description, attachments) or the website chatbot. Keep order numbers, photos and the date of each message. The Privacy Policy (last updated September 20, 2024) says the chatbot uses AI and that users can ask for a human agent.
If a product causes a reaction. FDA's page for cosmetic complaints says to stop using the product, contact a healthcare provider and report the problem to FDA through the MedWatch online form, Form FDA 3500B by mail or fax, or the Food and Cosmetics Information Center at 1-888-723-3366 (option 4). Before use, note what Biodance says about ingredients: its Help Center says "Our collagen line products do contain fish-derived collagen" and "Our products are not certified as vegan", and, in an article on use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, that it recommends "checking your personal allergy history and consulting with your healthcare provider before use". Those are the company's statements; we have not tested them. Biodance's Bio-Collagen mask reference page lists as groups who should be cautious people with a documented sensitivity to fermented ingredients, "Active, broken-barrier eczema or contact dermatitis", acute acne with broken skin and a known allergy to a listed ingredient, for which it advises a patch test behind the ear for 24 hours before full-face use; the same page describes the mask as "dermatologist tested, skin irritation tested", which is a company claim we did not verify. For unresolved billing or business-practice problems, the FTC takes reports at ReportFraud.ftc.gov and says it cannot resolve individual reports. For a credit-card charge, the FTC's guidance on disputing charges says a billing-error dispute (its examples include items "weren't delivered as agreed") must reach the card issuer in writing within 60 days after the first bill containing the error was sent, and that for a complaint about the quality of an item the consumer should contact the seller first and may then dispute with the issuer, subject to the conditions on that FTC page.
Company background
Who operates Biodance. The footer of every biodance.com page reads "Beautyselection Co., Ltd. – Beautyselection, 22-5, Dosan-daero 100-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea – Business Registration: 551-81-01715" followed by the name JaeBin Park, without a stated title. The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy name "Beauty Selection" as the operator of the store. We did not open a Korean company-registry record, so the registration number is quoted only as printed on the site. Biodance's Bio-Collagen mask reference page says the mask is "formulated and manufactured in the Republic of Korea by Beauty Selection Co., Ltd., the parent company of Biodance", and the home page of Beauty Selection's own site (beautyselection.co.kr) is headed "Meet Beauty Selection, the Team Behind Biodance". The footer does not say what role JaeBin Park holds.
Addresses and phone. Three Seoul addresses appear in the sources opened on October 5, 2026: the biodance.com footer (22-5 Dosan-daero 100-gil, Gangnam-gu), the USPTO owner record (31 Bongeunsa-ro 68-gil, Gangnam-gu) and the LinkedIn company page for Biodance (뷰티셀렉션), which lists a head office at 465 Bongeunsa-ro, iTower, Gangnam-gu. A post in the Beauty Selection newsroom dated April 6, 2026 says the company moved into a new office in Seolleung; the part of the post we read gives no street address, so we do not state which address is current. The same LinkedIn page lists a phone number in the Korean 1800 format; we did not test it and do not know whether it takes calls from the United States.
Trademarks. A search of the USPTO trademark database for "biodance" on October 5, 2026 returned four records, all shown as live and registered, each owned by BEAUTY SELECTION CO., LTD., a Korean limited company: serial numbers 98717931 and 97435607 in class 3 (cosmetics) and 98717953 and 98717968 in class 35 (retail and wholesale store services). The record we opened in full, registration no. 7197695 (registered October 17, 2023), covers cosmetics, skin care preparations and skin masks, lists first use in commerce on July 14, 2022 and gives the owner address as 31 Bongeunsa-ro 68-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, a different Seoul address from the website footer.
What it sells. The store lists hydrogel "Real Deep Masks" (Bio Collagen, Hydro Cera-nol, Vita Niacinamide, Sea Kelp, Caviar PDRN), toner pads, serums, creams and cleansers; prices on the home page start at $19.00. Biodance's founder page presents Mihwa Kim as "Founder and CPO". Founding year, as stated by company-published pages. Biodance's 2026 guide to Korean skincare brands says "Founded 2019" in its entry for Biodance, while the LinkedIn company page for Biodance (뷰티셀렉션) says "Founded 2020"; the other Biodance pages we opened do not state a founding year, and we have not checked either figure against a registry. The USPTO record lists first use of the BIODANCE mark in commerce on July 14, 2022.
Company statements we did not test. Biodance's pages give different sales totals: the Bio Collagen mask FAQ page says over 300 million masks sold across 90+ countries, its llms page says over 250 million, and the Bio-Collagen mask reference page says "150M+ masks sold, 90+ countries"; Beauty Selection's own site says "Sold in 89 countries worldwide". Biodance also says exclude listed ingredients and that its masks have clinical results. These are the company's marketing statements; we did not verify them or reconcile the totals. Biodance's FAQ page says it launched at Sephora U.S. in February 2025.
Seller on Amazon. The first result of an amazon.com search for the Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask opened on October 5, 2026 (listing B0B2RM68G2) showed "Sold by Biodance" and "Ships from Amazon". We did not open the seller profile, so we do not state the seller's legal name.
Company newsroom. The press-release list on blog.beautyselection.co.kr, read on October 5, 2026, shows ten entries dated April 17 to September 16, 2026. Our reading of their Korean titles is that they concern product awards, media coverage and pop-up events (for example, a September 16, 2026 item about a Harper's Bazaar beauty award); none of the titles concerns a recall, regulator action, data breach, acquisition or change of company name. We read titles only, not the full text of each release, so this is a limited check.
Complaint record: USAComplaints posts, BBB and Trustpilot, as displayed on October 5, 2026
USAComplaints posts. On October 5, 2026, a search of USAComplaints' own database of published posts (title, offender and text fields) for "Biodance", "Bio Dance" and "Beauty Selection" returned no posts. This page therefore lists no complaint themes.
BBB. Searches of bbb.org for "Biodance" and for "Beauty Selection" on October 5, 2026 returned no listing for either name (the "Biodance" search returned other businesses such as Biossance and BioMane). This is a result of those two searches only; BBB may list the company under another name.
Trustpilot. The profile for biodance.com, as displayed on October 5, 2026, is marked "Unclaimed profile" and shows 3.3 out of 5 from 9 reviews, 7 of them in the last 12 months. Trustpilot's notice says the company has no history of asking for reviews, so "reviews may not be representative".
ComplaintsBoard. A site search for "Biodance" on October 5, 2026 returned "No reviews matching" the term.
Is Biodance Legitimate?
Facts checked on October 5, 2026: biodance.com names Beauty Selection Co., Ltd. of Seoul, South Korea as the operator of its store; the USPTO shows the BIODANCE marks as live and registered to the same company; and the Help Center says Biodance cannot verify the authenticity of products bought outside biodance.com and the platforms listed in its Instagram bio link. Beyond what the company's pages say, we did not verify its Korean registration, its financial standing or its U.S. regulatory filings.
Regulatory and legal checks (scope: the sources below, on October 5, 2026). No FDA recall or warning letter for "biodance" or "beautyselection" was returned by FDA's recall and warning-letter listings; Health Canada's recall search returned no result for "biodance"; and CourtListener's federal docket search found no case with "Biodance" or "Beauty Selection" in the case name. FDA's current public dashboard for cosmetic adverse-event reports (the FDA Adverse Event Monitoring System, AEMS) opened on October 5, 2026 but requires the visitor to accept a disclaimer before showing data, and we did not accept it, so we searched no adverse-event reports and make no statement about them. FDA's page on registration and listing of cosmetic facilities and products says that registration and listing is "neither a cosmetic approval program nor a promotional tool" and that a facility registration or product listing number "does not indicate FDA approval" of the facility or its products; we found no public record of Biodance's own filings, and make no statement about them. State courts, state attorneys general, the EU Safety Gate, Korea's MFDS and the BBB National Programs case archive were not searched, and FDA's cosmetic facility registrations and product listings are not publicly searchable by us, so we make no statement on them beyond FDA's general statement above.
Not checked. Ulta, Target and other retailers are not on the lists Biodance published in the pages we opened, so this page does not say whether they are authorized sellers. Ask Biodance's customer service with the retailer's name and the product's lot number.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who owns and operates Biodance?
Biodance is a Korean skincare brand. The biodance.com footer, Terms of Service and Privacy Policy name Beauty Selection Co., Ltd. of Seoul as the operator of the store, and the USPTO shows the BIODANCE marks registered to the same company. We did not open a Korean registry record.
How do I return Biodance products and get a refund?
The Refund Policy says to email [email protected] within 30 days of receiving the item, wait for approval and a return label, and not to send items back without approval. Refunds go to the original payment method within 10 business days after Biodance receives and inspects the return. The Help Center describes the condition rules and timing slightly differently, so keep copies of both pages as of your order date. The Refund Policy applies to biodance.com orders; for products bought from a third-party retailer it says to contact that retailer or store directly, so that retailer's return window applies.
Where does Biodance say its products can be bought in the U.S.?
Biodance's Instagram bio link lists Amazon US, the Biodance Official Brand Store, Sephora, TikTok Shop, Costco and iHerb as official U.S. stores (Amazon US is marked "Ship worldwide"), and Sokoglam, Song of Skin and Senti Senti as authorized U.S. stores; for all regions it also lists Olive Young Global as official and Style Korean, YesStyle and Stylevana as authorized. Its Bio Collagen mask FAQ page names a shorter list (Sephora, Amazon and biodance.com, and in another place Costco as well).
What does Biodance say about products bought somewhere else?
Biodance's Help Center says it can confirm authenticity of products bought on biodance.com (after you send the order number and photos), and that for purchases not made on biodance.com or the official platforms in its Instagram bio it "cannot verify the authenticity of the product". The Refund Policy says returns are accepted only for items bought on biodance.com; for other retailers, contact the retailer.
How do I contact Biodance customer service?
The pages opened list an email address ([email protected], Monday to Sunday 10am to 6pm Korea Standard Time), a Help Center request form and a website chatbot. No customer-service phone number appeared on the pages checked on October 5, 2026.
Can I cancel a Biodance order, and where does it ship?
The Help Center says an order can be cancelled only if it has not shipped, and the shipping address cannot be changed afterwards. It says Biodance ships only to the 50 U.S. states, U.S. shipping is $6.95 and free above $50, and delivery typically takes 3-5 business days. Another biodance.com page says it ships "all over the globe".
Has FDA recalled Biodance products or sent the company a warning letter?
FDA's recall and warning-letter listings returned no entry for "biodance" or "beautyselection" when searched on October 5, 2026. That covers only those searches; FDA's adverse-event dashboard, state, EU and Korean regulators were not searched.
What should I do if a Biodance product irritates my skin?
FDA's cosmetic complaint page says to stop using the product, contact a healthcare provider and report the problem to FDA through its MedWatch online form, Form FDA 3500B, or the Food and Cosmetics Information Center at 1-888-723-3366 (option 4). You can also send the product details and photos to Biodance through its request form. Biodance's Help Center says its collagen line contains fish-derived collagen and that its products are not certified vegan, and it recommends checking your personal allergy history and consulting a healthcare provider before use; these are company statements we have not tested.
What do Trustpilot and BBB show for Biodance?
As displayed on October 5, 2026, Trustpilot shows an unclaimed profile for biodance.com with 3.3 out of 5 from 9 reviews, 7 in the last 12 months. Searches of bbb.org for "Biodance" and "Beauty Selection" returned no listing for either name. These figures come from separate sites and are not combined.
