Where complaints about Astranis go

No published complaint reports are currently linked to this profile.

Astranis sells satellites and satellite capacity to businesses and governments, such as telecom operators and in-flight and maritime connectivity provider Anuvu; it does not sell internet plans to households. If your internet service runs over an Astranis satellite, your contract and bill are with the provider that sold you the plan, so service and billing complaints go to that provider first. Astranis has no consumer plan or subscription to cancel.

The Astranis website links to a merchandise store, Astranis Apparel, at astranis.shop. The store's contact page offers a message form and shows no phone number or email address; its contact and product pages name no legal seller and link to no refund policy.

The store sold $50 laser inscriptions of a name on a panel of a Block 3 satellite from May 18 to May 31, 2026, and the listing now shows them as sold out. The listing says sales are final once engraving production begins, and buyers get a digital image of the engraved panel before launch. It plans the launch for later in 2026, says the timing may change and the name stays assigned to the mission, and treats the inscription as done whatever the launch outcome, because the panel will already be part of the flight hardware.

If you paid by credit card and the store does not fix a billing error, such as a wrong amount, an unauthorized charge or goods not delivered as agreed, the Fair Credit Billing Act lets you dispute the charge in writing with your card issuer. Use the issuer's billing-inquiries address; your letter must arrive within 60 days after the first bill showing the error was sent. This route covers credit cards only, and the FTC's list of billing errors does not include a refund refused under a final-sale term.

What to do: jobs, contacts and privacy requests

Jobs. The careers page at astranis.com/careers lists open roles by department (for example hardware engineering, operations and internships); each Apply button opens the job posting on the company's Greenhouse board, job-boards.greenhouse.io/astranis.

More detailShow less

The careers page says Astranis uses only @astranis.com addresses for recruiting and asks that phishing or impersonation be reported to [email protected]. Its contact page says the company may also email from four other domains, listed under Company Information, but those do not apply to recruiting. A recruiter writing from any other address, or a job you cannot find on the careers page, is a reason to stop before sharing personal or bank details. If you were targeted by a fake job offer, report it to [email protected] and to the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov; if you lost money, also file a report with the FBI at ic3.gov.

Sales and customers. The "Talk to Sales" button leads to the contact form at astranis.com/contact, which is the route for business inquiries. Astranis publishes no customer service phone number or email address.

Press. The newsroom lists [email protected] for press inquiries. The Terms of Service say written permission to copy or publish site content is requested at [email protected].

Privacy requests. The Privacy Policy (last updated August 21, 2026) gives [email protected] and the postal address under Company Information as its contacts. Its European privacy rights section says people in the EEA or UK may request access to their personal data and have it corrected, anonymized or deleted as appropriate, restrict or object to its processing, move it to another company, and withdraw consent; they may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority.

More detailShow less

The company may ask for reasonable information to verify identity and may keep some data for backup, legal or fraud-prevention reasons. The policy describes no rights specific to California or other U.S. states. California residents may have separate rights under state law where it applies to the company, and the California Privacy Protection Agency takes complaints at cppa.ca.gov. Say in your request what data you want accessed or deleted and which email address or application it is linked to.

Who Astranis is and what it sells

Business. Astranis was founded in 2015 by John Gedmark, its CEO, and Ryan McLinko, and went through the Y Combinator Winter 2016 batch. It designs, builds and operates small geostationary (GEO) communications satellites. Its first product, MicroGEO, is a small satellite that provides dedicated satellite broadband. UtilitySat, which the company calls the world's first multi-mission commercial GEO satellite, has onboard propulsion and is designed to be relocated or repointed to serve urgent customer needs.

Track record. Its first MicroGEO satellite, Arcturus, launched in April 2023 to provide internet service in Alaska through customer Pacific Dataport. The satellite's solar array drives, vendor-supplied parts that keep the panels pointed at the sun, failed soon after launch. In August 2023 Astranis said Alaska service would be delayed and that UtilitySat would act as an on-orbit spare until a full replacement. SpaceNews later reported that Arcturus could deliver only 6 to 12 hours of service a day, too little for the Alaska plan. In February 2024 Astranis began moving it to an orbital slot over Asia for a three-month mission for Israeli operator Spacecom, holding that operator's spectrum rights ahead of a later Spacecom satellite (reported by SpaceNews and Advanced Television). UtilitySat and three other Astranis satellites launched together on December 29, 2024; SpaceNews had reported that a replacement for Pacific Dataport was among those four. Astranis attributes the Arcturus failure to the third-party part, and its About page says all Astranis-designed hardware continues to work on orbit and that Arcturus still completes missions for commercial and defense customers.

Customers named by the company. The home page names Space Force, stc group (Saudi Arabia), Thaicom, Chunghwa Telecom (Taiwan) and Anuvu, among others, and says Astranis has contracts with Space Force, NASA and other government partners.

Funding. On May 6, 2026, Astranis announced what it called $450 million in new capital, including a $300 million Series E co-led by Snowpoint Ventures and Franklin Templeton and a delayed-draw credit facility of up to $155 million from Trinity Capital. According to the company, this brought its total raised to more than $1.2 billion, and it was "servicing a backlog of more than $1 billion of commercial contracts." On September 30, 2026, the U.S. Export-Import Bank announced a $468 million credit facility for Astranis under its Make More in America Initiative to expand U.S. satellite production, with J.P. Morgan's Securitized Products Group as sole arranger and structuring agent.

Owner and CEO. Astranis is privately held. John Gedmark, its co-founder, runs it as CEO. Investors in the 2026 Series E, besides the two lead investors, include Andreessen Horowitz, funds and accounts managed by affiliates of BlackRock, Baillie Gifford and Fidelity Management & Research Company.

The Privacy Policy's European privacy rights section says people in the EEA or UK may request access to their personal data and ask for it to be corrected, anonymized or deleted, as appropriate, and may complain to a data protection supervisory authority. Customers named by the company include telecom operators such as Thaicom and Chunghwa Telecom, connectivity provider Anuvu, and government agencies, including Space Force and NASA; it does not sell internet plans directly to consumers.

Are there Trustpilot or BBB reviews of Astranis?

This page shows no Trustpilot or BBB figures for Astranis. It sells satellites to businesses and governments rather than to households, so if you get internet service over one of its satellites, reviews and complaints about that service belong with the provider that bills you. No published complaint reports are currently linked to this profile.

Is Astranis a scam?

Astranis Space Technologies Corp. is a San Francisco satellite maker founded in 2015. The U.S. Export-Import Bank announced a $468 million credit facility for it in 2026. Its satellite customers are telecom operators and government agencies. No published complaint reports are currently linked to this profile. Is Astranis legit?

Astranis Space Technologies Corp. is a Delaware corporation with its headquarters at Historic Pier 70 in San Francisco, led by co-founder and CEO John Gedmark. Its first satellite, Arcturus, launched in April 2023 to serve Alaska. A failure in its solar array drives, which Astranis attributes to an outside vendor's part, limited it to 6 to 12 hours of service a day, too little for that plan, so it was moved to a mission over Asia. Four more satellites launched together in December 2024, and SpaceNews had reported that a replacement for the Alaska customer was among them. The company says it has raised more than $1.2 billion.

What is the Astranis customer service phone number and email address?

Use the "Talk to Sales" form at astranis.com/contact for business inquiries, [email protected] for privacy and legal matters, [email protected] for press and [email protected] for phishing. Who owns Astranis and who is the CEO?

John Gedmark, who founded the company with Ryan McLinko in 2015, is CEO. Astranis is privately held, with venture and institutional investors including Snowpoint Ventures, Franklin Templeton, Andreessen Horowitz, Baillie Gifford and Fidelity Management & Research Company.

Is there a lawsuit or class action against Astranis?

CourtListener lists no federal case with Astranis in its caption. Do not confuse it with Astra Space, Inc., a separate company: in August 2023 a federal judge in California ruled that investors could not proceed with their proposed class suit against Astra Space as filed, and allowed them to re-plead. To look up federal cases by party name, use PACER, which requires a registered account and charges $0.10 per page.
