5 weeks, set top boxes STILL don't work - Direct TV

5 weeks since install of 7 set top boxes (2 HD, 5 SD). 5 standard def boxes have never worked. Multiple tech visits with no resolution. Canceled appointments without notice saying I canceled.

Today tech solution was that I have to unplug for 20 minutes each Tv when it stops working. This will work"for awhile". Customer service told me yesterday they would bring new boxes that do not have the software problem.

Today's tech says the 'are not allowed to do that'. There is no promise for if OR when this will be corrected and how. The tech said that 'maybe' a fix will be downloaded at some point thru the satellite but he didn't know. I might need a phone line hooked up to the box or something.

Zero accountability, zero interest in pleasing paying customers. I have made a complaint with NJ Consumer Affairs. Maybe that will wake people up.
