I recently had to call Verizon for several different reasons and I found out that the customer service (or lack of) is horrible. This company has taken automation toooo far. What ever happen to getting to a live person without going around and around in circles. The automated service is not user friendly and cannot resolve all issues. After an hour of hitting one button after another and being transferred back and forth to the automated service, I was finally put in touch with someone in India and the connection was full of static and the call was finally dropped which was just as well because I was getting bits and pieces of the conversation. I then had to start all over again and my problem was not related to anything on the automated recording. What a mess and I was so frustrated and could not bear to continue on my journey that day. I finally managed to get through to a live person the following day, but it still took over an hour. However, that individual was able to assist me in less than two minutes. If you have to contact Verizon by phone you can forget about such a thing as time management.
