I tried to return a shower cap for which I did not keep a receipt. The item was probably from the store (Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN), but the manager would not take it. It was obviously a defective product that they sold, knowing about the defect (I looked at reviews later, and many people had pointed out leaking, no matter how it is installed). As a customer, I really keep receipts because I do not plan to return items, but when there are obvious defects, any store usually would take the item back - obviously not Home Depot.
