Deceptive Business Practices

I went to Home Depot last month to return some items i had bought for a building project that I could no longer use. I had paid cash for the items but did not have my receipt. The cashier scanned my items, i gave her my driver's license and then she told me that could not refund my money because it had not been 90 days since my last return. I called their corporate number to verify and corporate said i had to wait before I could return the items since I had no receipt and I paid cash.

I said okay fine, what date can I come back and return these items? She gave me a date of I believe 2/7. I held on to the items until that date and went back to Home Depot to return the items again, and the cashier refused my return again.

I asked her why was I being denied a return? She said well, the date that you last came in to return your items, even though we did not let you return them, that day was counted as starting from another 90 day wait.

I told her that their policy did not make sense and I did not even get a chance to return the items. I spoke to the manager of the store and he could not explain it either. I called coporate again and they would not listen and totally brush me off. The return policy is deceptive and their system calculates the date that you attempt to return something as a date that you actually made a return, which it did not. I will never shop at Home Depot again. They are shady and don't treat their customers right. I've spend thousands of dollars at that store and they are terrible.

I was just disappointed in Home Depot return polices, saying one thing and thing doing something totally different in the system they use at the store.
