Credit Card Application Led to Constant Contractor Calls

Anyone thinking of getting a Home Depot credit card to save on any large purchase, think twice! We saved maybe 5% on flooring (that still has not been installed correctly 3 plus months later!) and ended up on some 'list'.
Since applying, we have been inundated with phone calls from contractors looking for work. We get several calls each day, every day, for months! They are super aggressive and rude! When you apply, you apparently get placed on a list, and any business owner who pays a fee to Home Depot (or Lowe's) gets access to this 'list'. I would gladly pay that 5% savings to get off this list. From what I understand, this will go on indefinitely.
I love my Home Depot for daily needs, but NEVER again will I use it for anything else.
