Strikes Again! Drop them before they Screw you to!

We previously had Direct TV and dropped them because they put some bogus movie rentals on our account. We recently moved to Houston and thought we would give them another shot. Oh what a mistake. Their service was terrible, their installers they contracted were even worse.

We called in and spoke with a rep about how poor the service was and that we wanted to cancel. She stated that there would not be any Early Termination fee due to our unhappiness. THe next month while checking our bank statement I saw a charge from Direct TV for 474.25!! As you can imagine I flipped.

I called them up and asked the rep who authorised them to deduct this from my account. She could not tell me. I then asked how they got to this amount and she said there were 14 movie purchases and a 150.00 early termination. FIrst off there are no phone lines in the rooms were the boxes were which needless to say they were never hooked upto phone lines. I told her this and also told her to check the recorded conversaiton that their rep said there would not be a early termination charge. She got very rude and simply stated too bad there is live with it!
