Package Hold Refused Until Three Delivery Attempts

FedEx was delivering a laptop to my house. I knew I could not be there during business hours, so even before the 1st delivery attempt, I called FedEx to tell them, so I could save them a trip and go pick up the package myself at their location. The service person on the phone told me that I could not do that and that I had to wait until they tried to deliver it 3 times before they would take the package out of the truck. Ridiculous! I called the next day, and another unhelpful person told me the same thing again.

After waiting 5 extra days to get my computer, due to the weekend and no Monday deliveries, I finally went to get the package. The rep told me that I should have called and had them hold the package for me! I want to scream. It is a poor company, wasting gas, time and money, when I could have picked up this package long ago.

Given a choice, I will never use FedEx again.
