Just try to cancel - billing/customer service

I cancelled directv two months ago to switch to a cheaper option. I have been a loyal customer for 7 years. LAst night I received a phone call from their collections department saying that I owe then $150 and that my account was never cancelled. When I questioned this theu actually threatened me with a collections agency. When I asked to speak with a supervisor I was hung up on. This morning I called again and was told that there was no record of cancellation and that I still owed money. They really don't care about any proof I have of switching to a new company and gave me an adress for a corporate office which strangely has no phone number. I am going there in person Monday. I would rather run a fuill page ad in the Denver Post describing this situation than pay them one dime.
