Broken Receiver - HD Receive

I have been with Direct tv one year. I have two receivers in my home. One works perfectly. One I have had problems with since about a month after I received it. I called and they told me it was the cords. The same problem existed and new problems have come up. I have to reset it at least once every two weeks for the playlist to show up on the whole home system. The picture has never been clear, and has wavy lines throughout. Even though I am renting the receiver from them they want me to pay for a service call to come and fix it, or I can pay for their protection plan 6 dollars a month for at least a year and then they would fix it for free. I believe that if it hasn't worked from the beginning and they put me off with solutions that don't work so that it is beyond their time that they will fix it, that they should fix it for free. Customer service was not good and the only thing they would offer is 15 dollars of my bill. Very poor customer service! They need someone in technical support that can actually fix the problem or they should fix it if it's their equipment and I am at no fault in the fact that it doesn't work. I would definitely look into other satellite providers!!!
