Charged when no flight available

I had tried to book a flight for my daughter online. My debit card was immediately charged, but I never received a confirmation email. I then called Travelocity, and they said there were no flights available. I asked why they charged my card if there was no flight, and they said it was policy. Travelocity informed me the charge would be removed in 24 hours. I called today (27 hours after incident), and they said it could be 48 hours. Each time I called, they tried to book a different, more expensive flight. I stated I booked with an airline, and just wanted my money back. I have a major concern that they charge customers for services they can not provide. I will NEVER use Travelocity again, and will tell my experience to others.
