In February we signed up for DirecTv service, which was pretty nice.in April we bought a house and got the mover's thing. The scheduled it for the 1st week in May.

The technician came out and couldn't get a line of sight, there are a lot of trees in our new area. He told me that a surveyor type guy would be out to confirm and that I should wait a week before calling DirecTv to cancel. The 2nd guy came out and confirmed a week later, he told me to wait a few days before calling.

On May 17th I called DirecTv to cancel our service, due to no line of sight. I made sure that we weren't going to be charged the cancellation fee. It was confirmed that we were ok.

Surprise, surprise a week later we get a bill for $395 for an early cancellation fee. I called immediately and was told that in 72-hrs it would be off of our account and we wouldn't owe anything.

Another week later we get another bill saying we owe $395. I called again to get it taken off, talked to a supervisor and they told me it'd be off of my account in 72-hrs.

1 month after canceling our service due to no line of sight they have taken the $395 from our bank account. After being told repeatedly that it would be reversed within 72-hrs.

So I called again... And supposedly we'll get our money back in 3-5 days. We'll see.
