Ripoff, abuse, overcharge, billing errors

I received a bill this spring from TXU for over $1200.00. They stated that I had missed a payment and this was a double bill. I barely pay that much all year for my electricity.

When I called and talked to someone there they said the statement on the bill was false. The man said I did not miss a payment and the reaon my bill was so high is because they had undercharged me for a couple of months. He said the meter was read correctly but I was charged the wrong amount and I had to pay the bill or my electric would be cut off.

I called a second time to have someone check and they said the amount owed was correct and I had to pay it. I still think I have been ripped off as my bills usually run about $50 a month and I hardly ever turned my furnace on all winter. I feel that if they made a billing error they should not be allowed to recharge the customer and they can't even get their story right on the bill, saying I missed a payment when I didn't. They owe me my money back.
