T-Mobile
Verbal Contract Ripoff Nationwide

Shops, Products, Services

In October I went to my local T-Mobile store to buy a new phone because my charger no longer worked. At this point I'd been with T-Mobile for well over a year and a half, had no contract and was paying month to month (exactly what I wanted).

In december I changed jobs where my new employer would be paying for my phone. I called to move my number and T mobile said I started a new one year contract when I bought, or TMobiles term, UPGRADED. They said I agreed to a verbal contract. As I mentioned above, by design, I was not under any contract with T Mobile, yet now by some magic verbal contract I am now being hounded to pay 230.00 for cancelling a contract I never even knew existed.

I've have been a loyal T Mobile customer paying $70 / month for close to two years, but you do not care. They said there is a $200 fee to end my contract early. This is simply not right and is very deceptive. Thank you for your help.
