T-Mobile
Contract Fraud signed me up to contract renewal without request ripoff

Shops, Products, Services

Had T-Mobile service for about 2 years, originally on a 1 year contract, but continuing month-to-month. Called to have rate plan changed to a lower one. Phone rep asked if I wanted to renew contract and I specifically said NO.

There was a rate plan for 1000 minutes at 39.99 on the internet, but rep said that is only for 1 year contract. I asked what would it be for month-to-month, and was told 59.99. I therefore requested the 59.99 plan and was subsequently billed 59.99 for the 1000 minute plan.

After 3 months, I called to cancel the service and was told I had been signed up for a 1 year contract! I cancelled the service and was sent a bill for $200 cancellation fee for a contract I never signed up for! And at a rate that was $20 per month higher than the contract plan they say I signed up for...

After explaining the situation to their customer support, I was told a "verbal contract" is binding. But i never requested the contract. Now it has been turned over to a credit collection agency and they will not discuss the situation any more.

WATCH OUT, THESE GUYS ARE CROOKS. Isn't there some kind of legal action that you can take against such blatant fraud???
