House Foreclosed and Sold Back to Bank, No Prior Notice

Real Estate

My home was sold in December 2009. I never received any forms or notification prior to the foreclosure and sale of my home. The way I found out was when I called to get the end-of-year statement for tax filing, only to find out that I had to go through a lawyer's office, which informed me that the house had been foreclosed on and sold back to the bank.

I had missed payments but started sending them in to catch up, and nothing was returned until this month, when I got my payment that was sent to them in September. According to them, that payment was returned in September with a letter informing me that the house was in foreclosure, but it just arrived this month, January 2010. I have gone through the loss mitigation department in Citimortgage, talked with (Elizabeth Gayton) and the HUD approved consumer credit management (Eric Medina), which was in vain.

I would like the remaining payments sent to them returned to me since they are taking my home. For anyone reading this complaint: do not, I repeat, do not obtain a mortgage through Citimortgage if you want to keep your home.
