CitiMortgage Parent Of First Nationwide Mortgage My first home buying experience has been pure hell, threatening and harassing, Maryland Nationwide

I read in other report about First Nationwide but I found out in my research that First Nationwide did not sell out to CitiMortgage, CitiMortgage is their parent company and when a customer gives them "trouble" it goes to Citi.

I am copying what I sent to the consumer complaint dept. Of my state's Office of Banks and Real Estate.

This mortgage has been bad since it has been sold to 1st Nationwide in 1999. We bought this house in 9/1999, first payment was due in 11/99. Mortgage sold in Dec. We were never told until Jan. Sent payments to old mortgage company who sent to First. So they claim those payments were late and we missed 10/99 payment which we weren't supposed to make. From the get go these people were jerks.in Sept., Oct. Nov. And Dec. 2000 they lost 4 payments and tried to foreclose. We had the cancelled checks stamped on the front when they received them which showed they got them on time.

After much threatening and harassing and name calling by them and us back and intimidation, we called a lawyer because we had a court date. We continued to make payments. To stop the foreclosure we entered into a forebearance. There were two more to cover these lost payments. And a mortgage modification which is $7,000 more than the payoff price of our house. FHA did get involved then and thought everything was cleared up. Now they are getting involved again and pulling the mortgage for investigation because they are saying those payments are missing again. And that we didn't reaffirm after a bankruptcy. Our lawyer has the papers. They have broken HUD laws and the financial laws in our state and we haven't even missed a payment. They even lied to say we no longer have FHA protection. My husband and I are so angry we want to walk but this is our home and we finally have one after a very hard road.
