Verizon not sticking to there agreement

I recently hit a rough patch on paying my bill, and i set up numerous extensions on my payment arrangement they told me i would not have service interruptions until the date of the arranged agreement. Well long story short my service was interrupted and they were demanding i pay the whole bill than they would turn my service on, i had one of their reps agree in writing that the agreed date i originally set up was correct and Verizon denied it said the rep was mistaken and there was nothing they would do to resolve it and that the only thing i could do was pay my whole bill. I think that Verizon should not be able to do this to their costumers say one thing in"writing"and then do another and call it a mistake and tell you there isn't anything you can do about it i think its bull. So what can i do about this atrocious act.
