Upset Birthday Girl

Today was my daughter's 10th Birthday. It was very special to her, Double-Digits, as she calls it. Anyways, we did our traditional brthday dinner out with our special stop to Toys R Us. Only this time our trip to Toys R Us did not turn out as we had planned. We went to the store in Bradenton, FL that we do every year and were stopped before entering by an employee. There was a charity filling up a semi-truck full of toys. It is great to know that a charity was going to such lenghts this holiday season. The employee on the other hand was quite rude when telling us that there was just no room for us in the store and basically we couldn't go in because we wouldn't fit in there. That was definately not something you say in front of a child who doesn't understand why "there was just no room" in the store for us. On top of that it was 7:30 on a Friday night during the start of the busiest shopping season of the year, with a huge sale going on in the store. Why would they not have shut the store down at a later hour in the evening when shopping traffic would have been less busy?

Anyways, in the end I had a very upset little girl who was not able to get her Birthday present on her Birthday.
