I did not use my credit for airfare within the allotted 18 month timeframe (I'm at the 22 month mark and wanted to use it). I am looking for a refund; just a chance to use my credit. Southwest refuses. If I could have received a reminder email or text that my credit was about to expire, I would have used it sooner to avoid the hassle.
