Don't pay your T-Mobile with an unauthorized agent because T-Mobile will post the bill when they get ready

I have had service with T-Mobile since June and I had no problems with customer service or financial care until this month. On Thursday, November 15 my service was disconnected and I called and asked could I receive only incoming calls because I had death in my family and I need to talk to my family. I was told that because of a returned check my service could not be restored until my payment of $464.01 was paid. So, Friday, November 16 I had a friend who owns a convenience store that takes T-Mobile payments to make a payment on my account. I thought my service would be restored once the bill was paid which was $465.00 but when I called T-Mobile to ask them about the payment I was told nothing had posted but the lady in customer service asked where was the bill paid and she called the store with me on 3 way and was told the payment was made. I was then told that even though my bill had been paid they were not going to restore my service because the payment was not through an authorized payment center and this could take 7 days before my service could be restore. I asked again because I would like to talk to my family after the death of my uncle in another state and I was still told no because the payment was not at an authorized payment location. T-Mobile allows vendors to take payments and I would like to know for what reason if when you call and tell them that you have made the payment and they tell you that because it was not with one of their authorized agencies then they will post it when they get ready. This has really been an inconvenience for at this time to be with my cell and the customer service reps are nice to work because they have tried to get my service restored but T-Mobile's financial care I would not wish on my worse enemy.
