Monitronics International Fraudulent Automatic Renewal of Contract RIPOFF! Dallas Texas...

I signed up for a security contract with a company that promissed me a free alarm system if I paid $22 per month for three years. That company is no longer in business and had their contractors license revoked by the state. They sold my contract to Monitronics International.

When my contract was almost over I got a notice they were raising the rates to $26 per month. I called to cancel my service. The customer service representative said "Oh no you don't want to do that. What if I offered you the same service at a lower price than you are paying now?" I said mail me a proposal and I will look at it. I looked it over and decided not to renew. I called back and was told it was now too late to cancel. I would have to pay for another YEAR of service! Because I had not submitted a written letter 30 days prior to the end of my contract!

My year is almost up. I called to verify my exact cancellation date. Now they are saying they got despite the fact that they received my letter in November of last year my cancellation date is a year from this September! They are claiming that I need to pay yet another year!!!

IF THERE ARE ANY LAWYERS OUT THERE. Monitronics international needs to be sued! Sign me up for any class action suits against monitronics. Look at all the other usacomplaints. Coms of this same thing. I see at least ten reports. This is just the tip of the iceburg. I bet they have ripped off thousands of people and cost millions of dollars in damages.

Monitronics, International is one of the most insane companies I have ever dealt with. If you call their customer support they frequently hang up on you. They never call you back. Monitronics employees lie to you. Look up the other complaints against Monitronics International. There is a rebuttal by them that really displays their level of arrogance to their customers. I have never seen any company so unresponsive to their customer complaints. There is no justification for their attitude. A good company would allow unhappy customers to cancel their service.

Do not do any business with Monitronics International Ever!
