Final ripoff Alarm system only useable with Monitronics

After being forced into a second contract by Monitronics "automatic renewal" scam, I kept track of the expiration date of the new contract and followed their rules to get the service cancelled.

After receiving a form letter telling me that they were disconnecting my service due to non-payment, (My balance was $0.00) Monitronics finally released me.

I then contacted another monitoring service to have my alarm monitoring switched. It was determined that the alarm installed by Monitronics has the phone number of the Monitronics call center permanently burned into the EEprom of the control board. It can't be changed to a different number.

I am now replacing the control board ($50.00) so that I can use another provider. A nice parting shot from the slimeballs at Monitronics
