"free" upgrade cost $2047

July: As part of a long queue of customers being offered a free upgrade, we too were delighted to be offere a free upgrade as we had already prepaid our 800 car hire as part of our package deal to American Holidays. We asked if this upgrade would cost anything and were clearly told that it was a "FREE UPGRADE" (We have had Free upgrades on other occasions and they were exactly that - FREE)

On return to the UK we were utterly shocked and disgusted to see that Alamo had just taken $2047 from our credit card!
We did sign for this car and gave our credit card details in case of damage, we are currently in dispute over this and are being told that as we signed for this car we signed for the additional charge.

We would like to warn all others not to use Alamo as they are complete scammers and you will be ripped off!!!
