Sold a bad automotive part

On January 27, I purchased an alternator from Lake Elsinore Ford which cost $479.57 (parts & labor). One year and three months later, my alternator is malfunctioning. The Lake Elsinore service advisor offered to sell me another alternator for approx. $300.00. Since my 12 month warranty expired in January the owner refused to replace the alternator for free or at a minimum fee. This is a ripoff. I was sold a part that should have lasted longer than one year, then it is recomended I replace the part for $300.00. Customers be aware of bad parts and service. This is a rip off.
