Death notice

My husband died oct 29 so that as his partner I selected to pay for his debt entirely to Santander. A person support representative named me and attempted to provide me a spoken estimate within the telephone of just how much he owed and ofcourse I informed her to deliver me the total amount by email and so I might permit my Lawyer to see the estimate and spend them down.

Did I upset them by this or is that this organization untrustworthy?
