Non-Refund of Ticket Price

Two additional academics and myself were planned to go to a meeting in Sanantonio, Texas, from 11/19/08-11/23/08. Another instructor bought the flight reservation for all of US, utilizing her charge card. We'd no concept of the flight guidelines, she simply suggested she obtained the least expensive price she may find and we'd to pay her for every of our seats. I had been not able to attend the meeting and required a reimbursement of the total amount ($316) since I have didn't travel. I had been educated by Allyson Luppy and Anthony Whaley that I really could not need a reimbursement since the person who requested the seats had bought them under "can't stop" conditions of purchase on the internet. I had been unaware this had occurred. All I understood was that somebody had requested my air travel ticket and that I needed to pay that each. I had been not informed of any problems restricting the solution by any means. I had been informed by Luppy and Whaley that I really could make use of the solution, trade it or provide it away to another person up to September when it ends. I'm not likely to travel everywhere and that I don't understand of anyone who is traveling anytime soon.
